The Worst Car in GT4

I think the Subaru 360 (36000 cr.) is a horrible car.
Also, the Nissan Skyline (92 HP, 320000 cr.) is a rip-off (kinda off-topic).

Sorry :(

You know what? I agree. The Subaru 360 Cup may only allow 360s but you win a 360!

Even that Skyline is a rip-off! A Lotus Elise is even faster and cheaper!

...It has to be the Subaru 360. Trust me, the only thing slower than it (save for the classic Motor-Wagen and Motor Carriage) is an old grandad with a severe case of aids. And it's so light that an american football full-back could lift it. It happens to be noisier than a Suzuki Hayabusa's engine. The only bit of glory for it is it's easy to drive. And that means...

ABSOLUTELY NOUGHT!

In defense of the Citroen 2CV, there are many other cars that have MUCH less "utility" than this one... Many of them have already been mentioned.

But firstly, it **MUST** be driven to achieve 100% complete. There's no way around it. Embrace the crappiness!!!

And secondly, it can sweep the Europe Classic Car League for 200 pointers after spending only $32400, giving it an Earnings/Cost ratio greater than 3:1 ($80000 from the ECCL, $20000 form its OMR, with other races in which it can be "competitive"). There are a garage-load of vehicles that are much "worse" by this metric.
...

In defense of the SKYLINE Sport Coupe (BLRA-3)...

I can't believe someone would knock the BLRA... It's a 200 point goldmine, winning every race for its OMR, the 1000 miles!, and the World Classic events to name just a few. It's also the best-handling car I've driven using N-spec Tires (so far). Sure, it costs $320000, but it can earn more than a million...

And I think it makes an appearance in The Karate Kid II... which might make it the best car to appear in the worst movie... I've been looking to confirm it, but I don't have the DVD yet (can't find it for rent anywhere). I think it's the car Sato's son drives when picking up Daniel San and Miyagi from the airport. There might be other "classic" cars in that movie included in this game (the taxi that drives D-S and M to the village looks like a yellow Isuzu 117, but most taxis don't have 2 doors ("looks like" != "is"))...

The BLRA is far from the worst car, by any metric.
...

It's great to have a thread like this where people can vent their frustrations and/or share their experiences, but let's not forget that most of us play this game because driving (i.e. playing) is a joyous thing to do. Don't like a car, for whatever reason??? That's fine. Let it collect dust in the garage.

To close, my vote for "worst car in GT4" is the one that's in front of me...

Have A Great Drive!!

My nomination at this moment in the '67 Toyota 2000GT. Where did they ever get the idea that this was a grand tourer. No torque, no brakes. A car this slow should stop rather easily.

Or did Toyota mean GT to stand for Grandma's Tank?

Wait a minute.

Despite the lack of performance in the 2000GT, at least it looks like someone MIGHT have wanted one at one time.

But the '02 Renault Avantime does not have to suffer through the fact that someone might have wanted one at one time.

i'm probalbly gonna get flamed for this but the Gt40 race car. it absolutely sucks at El Capitan with it's fishtail 👎 :ouch:

I'm not gonna flame you, but I wouldn't say the GT40 flat-out sucks, either. It's simply a car that requires mastery, in any GT game, and also to the real-life drivers who risked their life (literally) just to win a few races.

I'll take one, thanks. A 2 door coupe MPV with a 3 litre V6? Who wouldn't want one?

I absolutely detest the FTO, and anyone who bought and drove one in this game knows what I'm talking about.

I don't have a clue what you're talking about. The FTO is a very good FF car, in the game and apparently in real life too. In the game it's easily the equal of the Integra Type R, especially in GP Version R form.

I'd love one. They're going for like £4-5k at the moment. If I had that kind of money, I'd get one. And I'm not kidding.

Neither am I.

Plus I've seen - and DYSAGTed - one of the 11 they sold in the UK on a 53 plate...

I think I've seen about two in the whole country, and a bunch more in France. Don't see many Vel Satises either and they're down to about £5k too. Not bad for a staggeringly comfortable and opulent car.

Yeah, you would think the Avantime sucks, but I managed many wins in one, even while simulating the Avantime's automatic tranny. Its best assets are a very solid, heavy front end matched with lots of traction and available aftermarket power. It rarely suffers from errant wheelspin (for a front-drive), and tho it's a bit doofy to maneuver, eventually it's possible to drive & win in one.

To the guy who said the FTO sucks, and "if you drove it, you'd know why", I can only say...I HAVE driven FTOs since GT1. I have no idea what you're talking about; I think they're one of the BEST front-drives, even for newbs. :boggled::confused:

It's my opinion, and I can probably guess a few people share the same. However, I am not stating opinion as fact and I'd like it to remain as nothing more than my thoughts on the matter. 👍

Right, but you basically said the FTO sucks, and then said that "anyone who's ever driven one should know what you're talking about" in so many words. And I've driven it, but I don't think its sucks! Do you like any other front-drives? Is it a bias against FWD cars in general? Or just the FTO?

Basically, you never said WHY it sucks. That's what i'm gettin at. I'm Just curious. I get curious about silly stuff like this.

For me, it's horrible understeer, steep deceleration during turns, horrible weight balance and I don't care for the rear end looks much.

I really can't feel the car. It's definitely not my favourite FF.

EDIT: I didn't mean to say in such terms that everyone who drove it, but people who drove it and didn't like it, sorry x_x. I'm not the best when it comes to wording.

Autobianchi... The one you win in the beginning.

You can have a picnic in the time it takes for that car to change gears. At least 2-3 seconds.

If gearchange times are your poison then you'll love the Cadillac Cien. Or, strangely, the bike-engined cars, the GSX-R4 and Caterham Fireblade, which you'd think would have a very quick gearchange.

Dude, The FTO is my first starting car every time. How can you not like it? Fastest FF besides the Civic, and prelude IMHO but still The FTO is a great car it's easy to control, drift, and drive.

I'd have to say any of the Daihatsu Storia's.

I bought a 6.2 special from one of the used car lots and took it straight to the Sunday Cup to see what it had.

The car had in so many words . . . NOTHING.

I went 0/5 finishing no higher than dead last in each race. Closest I came to any of the cars in any of the races was during the rolling approach to the start/finish line at the beginning of the race, or maybe I was closer to the AI cars in the starting grid.

It was probably the worst beat down I have ever received in GT4.

Needless to say it is no longer in my garage. And I don't forsee seeing one in there again.

Benz Patent Motor Wagen. I can't believe I drove that crap.

Bet now: How much time it'll take to do a lap around Monaco in that crap?

The DeLorean because it Feels like it got no BHP,the Superbird because it has no Brakes and the 1998 Ford Taurus SHO because it can't turn.

And all of them have an excuse to their poor performance.

The Benz Patent Motor Wagen and the Daimler Motor Carriage are the oldest cars in the games. In fact, they are one of the oldest if not the oldest car in automotive history, so you can't expect them to be as fast as today's cars.

And The DeLorean feels like it has not BHP because in fact, it has almost none. Less than 200 hp, if I recall correctly. The weight, besides, is over 1200kg or so. There's nothing to brag about the car, it even failed to qualify as a sports car.
By the way, saying DMC DeLorean it a bit redundant in my opinion, since it was the only car ever made by the company ;). In fact, the correct way of calling it would be The DeLorean, since the car name is not DeLorean.

Bet you wouldn't think it was "crap" if you lived 120 years ago and your alternative was to ride a smelly horse cart....:O

Obviously, the way to go was buy a cheap Pony for around 17p, ginger it up a bit or possibly put it on a diet, go around Ye Olde Motegi a few times, then you'll have enough money for a stallion. Or possibly so much time has elapsed you'll have enough money for an MX-5.

I really don't know where I went with that.
