The Worst Car in GT4

Come to think of it, you really should get used to it. Putting things in perspective it's (theoretically at least) as hard for you to understand txt spk Finnish as it's for me to understand txt spk English. So let's play on a level field and write as well as we can, it makes life easier for all.

Amen! 👍

@ I Luv Astons: you're part of a worldwide community here, all of whom have made the effort to read, write and understand English, even if it's not their first language. You have an advantage in that it's your native language (although in Brentford that's debatable :P) so please use it to the best of your abilities. 👍
Look at Greycap's post above. It's perfect English, coming from a Finn, and it puts yours to shame. Just because you text chat everywhere else doesn't mean you should carry it on here.

does anybody know why gt decided to go with RUF (which i think is the german name for porshe) instead of porshe and why the cars have names like ctr2 and btr instead of 911, boxter etc?

and i agree that the ctr2 is very dissapointing along with the yellow bird but i think some of the most dissapointing cars are the plymoth ones they just dont go as fast as you would expect i know their heavy but their supposed to be american mussle and plymoth were made in the same place as most other amercan car manufacturas so their are no excuses ford did well with mustang. i wish the shelby mustang had mor power it looks so cool however the supercharged shelby is near perfect for cornering try it on the seattle circuit or better enter it in the cobra race fully tuned it can wipe the floor with the cobras and its easier to drive

Well, a newer car will most likely beat an old car to the ground, as you said it Shelby Series 1 > Shelby Cobra. RUF is not german for PorsChe, as you think. It is a tuning company that specializes in tuning Porsches. And yeah, the Plymouth cars are not my favourites, but they've got certain stylish appeal to them, specially the Superbird, one of the old Aero Warriors 👍

RUF (<---Clicky link!) is not just a tuner company. They're a manufacturer in their own right.
They buy bodyshells from Porsche, but that's where the similarity ends. More-or-less everything else they build is their own, and hence they're recognised as a separate manufacturer.
PD could not obtain the licencing rights to include Porsche models in GT4, but did obtain RUF's permission to model their cars which're similar to, but not Porsches.

Anyway, this has nothing to do with the worst car in GT4 topic, so let's leave this discussion to some where like the General Questions thread, eh? ;)

Has to be the Alpine:

Lots of power but no way to control it (even with racing softs). A gentle turn will send it going sideways. And it's but ugly too.
well i guess that makes it perfect for drifting i will try it tomorrow
but i am scared:scared:

I rather dislike the Mini Marcos GT and the Volvo 240 Estate. The Mini Marco has horrendous styling in my opinion, especially in the rear. Usually, cars of that time era have curvaceous or at least decent looking styling- this car throws that stereotype in the trash. The Volvo is more of an in-game hatred, as I had hoped to tune one before, but its tuning ability ingame was trashed. The styling is typical '80's horrible but I've taken a liking to it.

The Nissan EXA from 1988 (I think?), the one that is a pickup truck in the back. I dislike that car as well.

Caddy Cien.

1st gear, vroooooooooom *pause of 5 seconds* 2nd gear vrooooooooooooom *pause.......................* 3rd gear, and so on.

That or the ford GT40, man what a crap car. Not only do you have to double normal braking distances, but it goes nuts at the slightest sign of a wheel on the dirt. Same goes for the ford GT lm spec II (the latter part)

yes i hate the gt.
I just finished racing one lap on the ring with this thing (un-tuned) and it was horrible!Even my Honda civic type-r 04 (fully tuned an over some:)) did a better lap time!I HATEthis car:banghead:

Another car that is terrible: the TVR Cerbera Speed 12. It sure is fast, but it accelerates like it has a rock inside it, in other words, terribly. Also, while the Cizeta is my favorite road car in this game, I have just discovered that it becomes alike to the Peugeot 905/Cadillac Cien in its gears, at full tuning. Also, it can't even beat a race at the La Festa Italiano on Autumn Ring WITH FULL TUNING! It just spins on corners more than it's said to do.

And finally, my final as such terrible car is the Lotus Europa Special. DO YOU NOT KNOW HOW STIFF THE HANDLING IS?? It's stiffer than a metal table in handling!

I again maintain that the Cizeta is nowhere near the worst car in the game. It may have quite a bit of understeer, but it's really not that bad, and I find it fun to drive.

The Honda Element, on the other hand, I can definitely put in a vote for. To give you an idea of just how ridiculous the stock transmission is, it maxes out at 91 mph in first gear and 115+ in reverse. Not only that, but doing an arcade-mode full tune on the car on Test Course to even get it to move, I accelerated in fourth gear (the car's highest) to 1,500 rpm and noted the car's speed, 70 mph. Since in any one gear, rpm and speed are linearly related, and knowing the car has a ~7,500 rpm redline, that means the stock transmission maxes out at approximately 350 mph (!!!), a higher speed than all but six cars in the game can claim to reach with full tuning and nitrous. I doubt the Element can even reach 200 mph under any circumstances. It really makes you wonder whether PD modeled this car's transmission correctly. Needless to say, it's a huge hindrance to the car around a track.

I wasn't saying it was the worst. I was just saying that it couldn't win my La Festa Italiano race on Autumn Ring until the 6th try.

 Someone would need some major power to get an Element to 350.

I must say the TVR Speed 12 is the worst handling car for me. It was tough to use in GT3, but in GT4 it much tougher to control. I'll never use this car again.

What are you talking about. I've got a TVR Speed 12 and every race i raced it with I have not lost :):):)👍 (although that's on B-spec):guilty::guilty::eek::banghead: :boggled: :gtpflag:

I think the worst is the Daihatsu Copen. It's just really slow and s:censored:! And if you were a man, you could only drive one if you wear a paper bag on your head.

I'd rock one :D And yes, I'm being serious.

I enjoy driving the smaller, slower cars in the game anyway. It's a bit different. I'm not sure what my least favorite car in the game is - the trouble with having so many cars is that I simply don't drive the ones I'm not interested in, and without driving them it's unfair to say they're awful...

Of the ones I have driven, I have to say the Cadillac Cien is pretty awful - must have the longest gap in gearchanges of anything in the game and that really hampers it's progress. Pity too, because it looks quite cool.

I've seen many people complain about the gear change times. I don't find it that annoying, or crappy as some people have described it. Now, the fact that the car is a concept and not a road car makes me go , because it looks quite cool, as you have said.

I've found a worse car: the Honda Today.

^I beg to differ, wait till I post my tune for it, it beat a Corvette C5R around Grand Valley.

Anyhow, I can defnitely put in a vote for the Escudo. Another one is the 3-wheel Daihatsu Midget, it's too slow to even be tuned nicely.

NO, that car is great!
Aston DB9 sucks...

I'm sorry, but how's an Aston Martin DB9 a sucker compared to the Honda Today? We all have our opinions, but be prepared to back them up, mate.

Anyways, one of the worst cars in GT4 must be the S.S. Trueno. Way overrated, I can't see how this deserved a place on the game.

The Escudo, it is made for hill climbs(which would be great if they were in the game), but the rally tracks in GT4 just aren't designed to take on the "Super Beast"(my nickname for the car)

the S.S. trueno isn't overrated in my eyes, lightweight, 200hp.

1st thing about the aston, the weight, 1710:crazy:kilo's, and it is taken over by Ford:yuck:.

You're thinking of a pink Nissan Micra Convertible

Not in your eyes, Trueno/Levin lover. For a person whose gallery is filled with those cars, you obviously are blind to see they suck. We are talking about handling here, not just those numbers, that mean as much as nothing. Take a Lotus Elise 111R, a real car for example. It obliterates the Trueno. While being about 10hp slower and around 40kg heavier.

Funny, considering that overweight Aston destroys the Trueno in a stock vs stock battle, and quite likely in a stock Aston vs fully tuned Trueno battle. S3 tires, mind you. And it's actually a cool car. "DB9 Super cool Fridge" anyone? :P

And what does Ford have to do here?

I can beat a stock aston with a normal trueno(tuned), but i will make 2 setups...

And Aston= Ford

And lotus is mid engine, built for sports, The trueno S.S. is origionally a drift car...
