I know money isnt an issue in GT4, but...its a rip-off. Waste of money. For $650,000 credits I can buy a TT DTM Racer and its much better than a SLR.

According to some kid at another forum I go to, the Benz Patent Motor Wagen is the worst car, apparently. Either that or the Daimler Motor Carriage...I'm not sure:

Theyre both motor carriages ;) Id like to see a car crappier than that! :sly:

Sure... there are lots... if we're talking from the same time period...

Remember kids, brake early and strong or buy the farm! :) :crappy rhyme:

seriously though, learn to brake early man! it comes in handy later on ;)

Especially if they're not racecars on tires two feet wide (an exaggeration, I know...).

I've just done a few hours with the Cizeta... and you know what? It was pretty decent. Last time I drove it, it was in a mega-comparison with about twenty other "supercars" and "tuner cars", and it was near dead last.

Last night, I drove it around for kicks. Obviously, I didn't set any lap records anywhere (it's a second or two slower around the track than a Tuscan or a Corvette... sportscars with 200hp less), but it wasn't a particularly horrid car.

Obviously, it's understeery, both in acceleration and under braking. It also doesn't take sweepers as quickly as most supercars do. You've got to drive it a little like a Porsche (RUF), use lift-off oversteer to get around corners, brake a lot earlier than in other cars so you can line up and get on the gas quickly. Don't try to trail-brake. The car's weight and body roll won't let you get any steering done under brakes. It's most balanced and neutral with just a little gas to get the weight to shift. There's very little wheelspin when you romp on the throttle, and the car settles down after you've rolled onto the gas.

Remember, it's a heavy and wide car. Modern "supercars" like the lardy M5 and SLR have spoiled us with their gravity defying handling... the Cizeta isn't a magical extra-grippy supercar engineered by Bavarian supermen, just a very exotic sports tourer with a huge engine designed by a... designer.

I know, it sucks because you're expecting so much more, but if you think of it as a sportscar with too much engine rather than a supercar with too little handling, it fits.

And it's probably as close in handling to a Countach as any car in GT can get.

A mid-mounted horizontally-opposed 16 cylinder engine will gaurantee "interesting" handiling unless, like you said, it's Bavarian.

The worst purchasable car in stock form has to be the Honda Element! :yuck: Without a modified transmission, this thing will not accelerate! It's like turbo-lag, but without the turbo!!! ;)

Once it's had it's transmission swapped for a close or super-close box, it handles the snow courses pretty well.

Welcome to VTEC, all the lag, none of the turbo, it's like waiting for bad sex.

Without a doubt the stupid Mitsubishi HSR2 concept (or whatever its called). The stupid rear wings that go up on one side "to help you turn", but it doesn't turn and is too slow for any aerodynamics to even come into play. And its the worst looking car ever. :yuck: 👎

I say the worst sounding car is the Corvette C5-R. If it sounded right, it might be my favorite car in the game, but it sounds like a broken vacuum cleaner. PD should be absolutely ashamed of themselves for that one. I mean, they have the "real" Corvette sound on other cars, so why not slap it on the race car as well? :grumpy:

  too true! that is sig material IMO

anyway here's another one for the list:

Honda Today G '85

Now I once used this car as a rally beast (and damn it lived up to its name)
but beating the hell out of it is all it's really good for. Even fully-tuned, the little 2-cylinder engine sputters to keep up even with a 500R or Midget (fully-tuned of course). So the only real reasons for buying one are its low price, pretty swell handiling at speed, (because "at speed" means 40MPH) or your just obsessed with 80's ****boxes like I am ;) .

I actually like the Element. It already has like 700 miles.

toyota minolta..all this hipe about it and when i won it and used it couldnt brake for shyt and skitted when you turned the wheel :grumpy:

like everyone says, the minolta is a beast

Nailed it!

The reason why R8 sucks in your hand is probably due to your skill, your technique, your tuning, or your parts purchased. Simple. The Minolta handles like a god in my hands, and if it did take forever to stop then how did someone manage to lap that thing in 4:42 around Nurb?

Worst car in the game is the Citreon 2CV, spent about 150,000 credits tuning it to win the special event, and then i get rewarded with 20,000 credits and another sissy-pink coloured 2CV. Should've at least come with a can-opener.

There should be a "No retards allowed" sign on forums like this that regard peices of crap. The Audi R8, Toyota Minolta and Cadillac Cien are all super quick and handle well, who ever said they cant handle or brake or are slow are RETARDS.

Do not post anything like this again.

Fine, you don't agree with them - does that make them worthy of insulting? Before you answer, I'd like you to read our Acceptable Use Policy and Terms of Service.

Did you read their justifications for their opinions at all?

The option Z has crap accel and all the early 1900s cars are to slow to have fun in

Mr.OzzyGT
I Agree 👍 , if you are going to talk about overweight cars, mention the TVR's, the Plymouth Super Bird or even the Tank Car, but not the SLR.
TVR? Overweight??? They're among the lightest sportscar's in the game, they tend to weigh around 1000kg's, that's light for a non K-car/track car.

That's one heck of a quote L4S.

TVRs are definately lightweight (with the most weighty of the group not going over 1200kg if I recall correctly).

Also, the SLR not overweight?
I'd have to say yes and no.
As in, 1700+ kg is pretty heavy. However, compared to how fast the car is and with how it handles I would have to say it doesn't feel overweight.

But to address the real topic of the thread...
I'd have to say there really aren't any cars I think of as the worst.
The reason I say that is because:
1) I don't have any bad cars in my garage so my memory of bad cars isn't very good.
2) Every car has its own character and what appeals to some might not appeal to others.

Heck, I would say anything with less than 100hp is a bad car but that's just my bias against the "slow" cars coming out... Truth is- many people love the sub-100hp cruisers.

LOL:) wow someone knows some serious technique!! 4:42 around an near 13-mile course?? thats insane! :dopey:

i just got the minolta (again :sly:) and its still amazing every time i drive it

its as big as a boat and handles like a go-kart. perfect formula! 💡

the general concensus is the half liter class micros...which are all around town put-puts outside of america. the kind americans can't get into to drive, and are considered deathtraps that will be squashed into the pavement like a bug in a grill by the first MACK truck to come along. the two (actually, three) horseless carriges are meant to sit there and look pretty, indeed...tho I personally think the 15 T is worth holding onto.

there's no useless mini or micro, here. even the original Midgit can be fun with the correct tuning. but it seems, also, that people don't bother to tune anything but their high end race and rally cars. sorry, but i think that's wrong.

there's also the matter of a persons personal taste in design, how long they've been driving both in the real world and in games, and what their used to. The cars i started with are early to mid eighties post second fuel crisis boxes, when Japan emerged from the shadow of its "el Cheapo" reputation, and american manufacturers were drowned in a sea of safety regulations for 20 years.

a 2 or three page post war on grammar was NOT necessary, and I hope the mods took care of proper business. remember, not everyone on these pages has english as their native language, and is bound to make mistakes. plus, the English speaking nations have their own dialects, slang phrases, etc. americans won't recognise most of these, as most of us have never been out of the country. you English would do best to remember this as well.

now that that's out of my system...I feel better.

Ok you might be right on the TVR's, the reason why I classified them as "Overweight Cars" is because every time I drive one, perfect ex: Speed 12, its acceleration is so delayed that it feels like a heavy car, unless you tune it up right, it will be hard to handle that one...now, the SLR like Kent said, for its power and velocity, it may not be considered as a heavyweight car even though it's heavier than TVR's...Yes? No? Maybe? Kind of? Sort of?

Ciao....

I read through almost all of this , sorry , started to nod off 'round page 14, and I'm surprised no one mentioned the old Ginetta's. I dunno if they're the worst in the game by any means, but definately one of the most disappointing cars I've tried to take a corner with, Too light for the horsepower maybe?

No way man. The Ginetta is an excellent car IMO. Its a classic, just love it. I actually take corners better in a totally stock Ginetta G4 than a suspesion modded Puegoet 206
