I want closer offline racing - for that you need faster AI and qualifying.

Set the controller as controller 1 (hold down the PS button) and you can use it in the menus, the wheel will still work fine in the race. At least that works with the DFGT.
 
Anyone else think the draft is still FAR to powerful? For me, it almost ruins online NASCAR races. I believe this really needs to be addressed.
 
Unless level 20 isn't far enough yet, I was hoping to be able to pick all your opponents of a single race, or at least have something similar to what GT4 had, where you can move the difficulty multiplier to higher or lower power than the car (power) you currently have. I think just a one make race in practice is not enough. I will try more arcade mode later, I know many things become unlocked over time. Any thoughts on what you peeps remember from GT4's single race setup???

I am fine with PD slowly adding more premiums to replace the standards one by one, I wouldn't even mind if we just got one more premium every couple weeks like a funny little gift, so christmas lasts forever, or until GT6....

Yeah, they're really deep and full of bass, shakes my windows whenever I break to slow and fly into the rear of another car 💡
 
My biggest issue is not being able to sell cars, yes you technically can, but for 1/4 of the cost or hope you find someone with the car you want who wants your car, and even then you are limited to 1 per day.

I get that you shouldn't be able to sell a car for brand new cost, but is 50-70% too much to ask. You'd be hard pressed to find a used Ferrari Scuderia for $80k on the market. Also if you sell a modded car all those mods are just gone.
 
I would like the screen tearing gone
I would like a consistant frame rate
I would like Pop up gone
I would like hood cam
I would like to be able to remove items from the hud,inc mirror ( it might help with framerate and screen tearing)
I would like only to have cars that people want to drive, not 50% of tat. It is so frustrating to win events to be given tat, why would anyone want a camper van or a Kuppelwagon
I would get rid of License tests
I would get rid of B Spec
I would like all missing tracks from GT4
I would like more Ferraris
I would like Porsche
 
What I'd like changed most is the attitude of some fans on this forum. The people that said it doesn't matter if damage is properly done 'because you shouldn't be crashing your car anyway', the people that didn't want a livery editor 'because this isn't Forza', the people that don't want body modding 'because this isn't NFS', the people that want copy protection on game saves so that other people can't cheat, as if it effects them in any way at all or that it is in any sense their business how other people choose to play the game.

In short, people with smug, pretentious and backwards views, people so self-important as to view every suggestion as to how to improve the game by voting against suggestions that would clearly do nothing but make the game more enjoyable for everyone. The people that backslap PD when they screw up. Those attitudes need to change, because they will do nothing but hurt both the community around here and future releases in the serious, be it GT6, DLC, patches, etc.

This isn't to say we shouldn't be happy with what we have - of course we should be. But when someone or something falls well below the standards you've come to expect of it, it is rarely in your best interested to be happy with what you got when what you got was a lot less than perhaps you should have.

And I want qualifying back.
 
How about the Mazda Furai and Jaguar XFR swtiched to premium. The XFR is new to the series and the Furai would be EPIC for close up shots...especially at night.
 
I'd also like the option to use a custom soundtrack for the menus as well. And the ability to use a custom soundtrack when racing online (if at all possible).
 
This thread is about things you wish polyphony hadn't left out of GT5 that were in previous GT games.




1. Being able to change wheels on all the cars like gt1,2,3,4,5p

2. lots of wheel choices like in gt4

3. Multiple used car lots like gt4, finding the used car you want in gt5 is a pain

4. an online PP point system like gt5p

5. Racing mods for most cars on the list like gt1/2

6. The special branded tuning parts from gt4 (for instance an re amemiya stage 4 turbo kit)

7. Being able to customize individual gear ratios instead of just a top speed slider, like gt1,2,3,4,5

8. Brake upgrades like gt1,2,3,4,5p. I know fade isn't modeled so it doesn't matter at all but it just feels wrong...

I'm not seeing the difference. They're features that a) you feel were left out of GT5 and b) you would like to see back in the game. It's something that you'd like changed in GT5.

I was expecting the full game to look better than Prologue but it has gotten worse :yuck: Looks like they lowered the resolution

Also the nauseating camera shake in cockpit view, i liked it the way it was in Prologue

Yes but I wanted a discussion particularly about those with people nostalgia'ing and adding their own. This is thread is a much more broad wish list.
 
1. Proper Replay Camera Angles on TOP GEAR TEST TRACK similar on the show itself!
2. Why do i need to press 498 buttons just to see my car delivered? Please, just drive up to my garage, throw the keys on my front porch and leave a note! Thank You!
3. Less fictional tracks, more Real World Tracks
4. Slipstream is ridiculous fast. Same results as when i tested with the Best Buy Demos a few weeks back
5. More control over course maker! Templates please!

change the assistance Driving-Line to something better looking. It looks so bad and ugly. I always loved the driving line style from Forza 3. AND, make a brake-only driving line as well. That would be so cool.
 
Things I would like changed :

1. The car painting thing.Why do we have to collect paint codes ? Why can't we just have a color pallet and go in and paint our cars what ever color we would like to ? If I'm building a livery of race cars,I would like them to be the same (color wise).I get one code,use it,it's gone.We need a paint pallet where I can get my color,save it,and use it again and again.

2.I can't put aftermarket wheels on a standard car ! I would change that.How many cool cars are there in this game but the one bad thing about them is the wheels that are on it ? We should be allowed to change them.
 
Once you unlock a paint chip you get an unlimited amount of that paint.

Let us preview what the car looks like in a certain paint before purchasing.

All premium cars should have at least one Race Modification upgrade...some cars could have 2 or more.

I don't think that's accurate.If you look beside the chip,you'll see a number.That tells how many chips you have of that paint.I had a red metallic that I painted my Honda Civic with.I used it 1 time,then it was gone.I could not re-use it.
 
I would like to be able to preview a painted car/wheel before actually purchasing it. Other than that, I really don't have much of any complaints.

Yes I know..I'm saying it would be nice to be able to have unlimited paints once you unlock them.

There are many things i would like to see improved, removed, or added.
But by far the biggest disappointment is the cars included.
I know this is a Japanese game and all but come on!
13 Civics! 34 different versions of the Mazda MX-5! 12 different Mitsubishi GTOs!
Meanwhile: no new S3, RS4. BMW 120d and no 130i! CTS-V! Some Caterhams!
08 Impreza WRC? Ferrari 550/575, F50, 355, V10 F1.
They have 5 different 500 Fiats but no Ritmo Abarth, Stratos or 131 Rally car.
I could go on and on and on.
I mean, who wants 100 different kei cars and pointless 40's and 50's off road wagons :(

There is atleast one Caterham with a Fireblade engine!

1. Remove the blurry filter in cockpit view :yuck:
2. Earnings for multiplayer races, but moderate like in Forza
3. more body kits and wheels
4. weather on all tracks

So far on my thread travels I noticed a few things that would benefit us all If changed.

1. Top gear test track needs to be enabled with a standing start.

2. Saved data shouldn't be copy protected.

3. Add some more recent model years as free DLC.

4. Standard car > premium.

5. All tracks with weather effects.

i probably would have wanted there to be more weathereffects like (fog) for example.. thats the main one on my mind right now :D
