I went and looked again at the rules and everything is fine. I don't think at that speed I could get the wheels off the ground.

I'm going to keep running it, it was like 3am so I was a little dazed, kinda dozed off a couple of times and missed the turn completely...then my wheels were off the ground, well the whole car was.:scared:

Next is the Dodge Viper SRT10 '03 (Ya I know...) - I'm stuck at 298.14. :nervous:

I'm little disappointed with that speed you know, I really tried to get even closer to 350mph mark. I used about one hour to get better speed but I just constantly pushed over 350mph. Also tried Toyota GT-One little bit, it just wheelies way too much.

Dark Elite, seems like you forgot to add my Chaparral 2D speed. So here it is again.

Nice work with the R8, ShadowDiabloS - try limiting it a bit with gearing, and figure out a consistent driving technique - then see if you can get 349.99mph :p I managed to get 300.00! :dopey:

Sorry about missing out the Chaparral speed. You know, there was some nagging thought at the back of my mind that I'd missed something, but I couldn't see any obvious screenshots lying around previous posts, so I went ahead and updated anyway. Well, it's in now. :)

Not that I'm sniveling or anything, but I noticed when I was taking the Nardo for a run I hit 300 twice and it came up with an official speed of like 299.98. I guess it has to sustain 300 for a second or so eh? No biggie, just wondering is all.

Back to the 1000m drags...👍
 
That's because the in-game digital speedometer rounds to the nearest mile per hour, so anything of 299.50 or more will show 300mph on the speedo. :p

BMW McLaren 308.73 mph


Spent day working with Mclaren. At first I thought that this car is not going to do 300mph in my hands. But then I found the groove, right drivingline and correct time to unleash nitros. After I managed to do 303mph, I slowly improved my speed, about 0.40 mph per run until I reached 308mph. Then I got stuck for awhile, some more tranny tweaking and I did 308.73. Got stuck again and spent next hour doing 307-308.5. Then I finished my session. Man I was surprised when I saw the fastest speed for McLaren. I thought fastest speed was something like 310mph.
Have to go back to test track with my Mclaren when I have more time(I guess that would be monday).

Finally got round to recording a proper video with the silver bullet, and managed to increase my personal best in the process.

I've found some new techniques for the car that allow me to reach 334.xx a lot more consistently, so hopefully I'll be able to push her up to 335.

hey everyone just read that if you add a gear (7th mainly) it will increase your top speed by around 20mph.How do you do it though I've search most of the GTP game-guides and cant find out how...help:scared:
 
Please for the love of god, dont double post, or in this case triple post, jst use the edit function. this thread is almost 300 pages now and we dont need more clutter.

to Answer your question on 7 gears, you have to find the right cars, like the one skyline racer and 2 other street cars with CVT's.

Next up is Mercedes CLK-GTR, so far I have pushed it to 325mph region. I have feeling that I can push it over 330mph. I think little tranny tweaking should do the trick.

Does Anybody Have 300mph settings for a '02 Nissan Skyline GTR V-Spec - II Nur edition? Because ive been trying for hours and still cant get to it.. :( and i need somewhere to start.. Please.
 
Hey Shadow, you've got to keep pushing.

All three of those are within striking distance of records - Jeez, with the Gillet you're only 0.14 MPH behind Ichi's record speed. And if I were to presume to speak for MS - both he and I would look forward to defending our records should you beat our respective Mazda speeds (Ooh, that was a pun... get it? MazdaSpeed)
 
If you're just starting then go with something like an Audi R8, Toyota 88C-V, or Toyota GT-One. Those are relatively easy to get to 300 mph.
 
The Skyline isn't the easiest road car to break 300mph in, even though it can reach 325+ when tuned right.

I got your PM btw, just I have a big presentation on Thursday which I need to prepare for, and that's keeping me busy. Don't think I'm ignoring you or anything. I make it one of my goals to try and respond to everyone. If you want to PM the current Skyline setup you're using as well, I can try to point out some of the settings which need the most changes. :)

Oh, and as 2078TM said, I will happily try and defend my speeds. I did notice Shadow that you're close to some of the records, so I'm sure that if you concentrate on one car you can get there! 👍

Nice work, Shadow, 2078TM is quite right - you've got to keep on pushing these speeds up, you've got potential to take records! In fact, you're starting to remind me of another member when they first joined us...

The server's working very slowly, but I think it is actually working for once.. Let's see..
Damn it, it's making IE crash. It opens even slower in Firefox, but it seems I'm going to have to use it anyway...
