Interesting that you even mention LSD, I've found it makes no difference at all! Oh well. You also missed out toe, which is good for 1mph in some cars.

I see you've become our 'newbie greeter' I'm not sure I like everyone being given settings though, people should really get to 300mph on their own and only use other's settings if they're really stuck. But that's just me, not to worry.

O_B, please take the GT-One line out of your signature. Try to remember, it's not an LSR until we say so 👍

No worries mate!

Just trying to help out.

I didnt want to give any settings specifically, but give people a point in the right direction. So many little clicks here and there get more out of her, lots of tinkering after following my steps is needed to max the cars speed limit.

LSD actually helps with gaining and keeping high speeds through the corner to max your exit speed for the straight.

& toe, make car go slow :D

Seeing this race is in high speed, do using min ride height for front, max for back can give you additional downforce or acceleration?

No, its actually the oposite.

If you jack up the front and drop the rear you go faster (Simulated wheelie, kinda)

nice setting, so, do you ever comparing this?:
(ride height max/min, downforce min/max) vs (ride height min/max, downforce min/min)
which one the fastest ?

hi people my names sam porter ive owned gt4 for a while and got bored i wanted to drift real bad but i thought it was impossible...til i found gt planet it OWNS today i clocked 335.12 in audi 8 racecar and was wondering what it takes to b in 300 mph club also what other clubs there are like fastest evo/skyline/subaru or fastest drag car thanks people !!

Your pics have to show the car as well.

This is my first post on GTPlanet.

I'm new about this TOPIC also, but i'm not new about GT speed test..

In an Italian Board in a TOPIC about max speed i made (MAY 2005)
539.53 km/h (335.32 mph) .. (NO WHEELIE - WITH NOS)

But with the GTONE my best speed is 543.70 km/h (337.91 mph) .. (NO WHEELIE - WITH NOS)

but i've lost the replays :( and the possibility to take photos of the car on track!
..i have only some screens ..and they aren't clear..enough ..

I have another speed record (LSR) with Audi R8, i have to search the repaly ..to make
photos...

Congrats to everybody for the speed records 👍

The settings displayed are optimum for highspeed. Sure there are improvements to be made, but not in rideheight or downforce. These are all trial and error type settings, so I´ve tested a bunchload of settings for each car. Note the similarities of the settings, and know then that they in general applies to most racecars, with the exceptions of suspension, bound and rebound, camber, toe, stabilisers, gears and tyres.

Welcome SubaruSam 👍 and Toronado is quite right, your pictures need to show the car as well if you want to be on the leaderboard. However, you do show the speed so you're now one of us 👍

Welcome I-Runner also! My apologies but I'm allergic to km/h  but is your fastest GT-One speed something like 340mph? I've never been that hot on km/h conversions. Congrats anyway :)

cheers dark elite i was also wondering about the skyline squadron what it takes to get into that please say its a hard challenge lol. Also if i do have a chance of getting into the skyline squadron does ne1 know what all the letters in the skyline engine mean > RB26DETT < i know btw 👍 :dopey:

RB - Engine Series
26 - 2.6 liters displacement
D - DOHC valve system
E - Electronic Multiport Fuel Injection
TT - Twin Turbo

I'm a member of the Skyline Squadron :p

That just confirms that you know too much Greycap :p 👍

I've talked to subarusam about this via PM, so no need to pull it into here as well.

Congratulations damianb, not to worry about the picture. I can't put you on the leaderboard but you're effectively in the club 👍

Thank you DE :)

Don't worry ..for you allergy about km/h...
.. i have a similar allergy ..but about Euro ....

Yes I have a better speed from the same period (May 2005)
it's a speed with Audi R8.. 342.00 mph, (550,42 km/h)
The setting should be the same of Team666 except
-gear ratio
-Downforce, in my setting front and rear are at minimum .

LSR+NOS

Thanks again
I-Runner

 not to worry! By my calculations 550.42km/h is 342.02mph, so you've overcome your expectations by a massive two hundredths of a mile :p

Well done, I'll put you up on the leaderboard at the next update 👍

when is my r390 going to show up on the leader board de?

1989therat
You mean your R8?
Different guy, but same quote :p but both are going up now.

The answer is as soon as possible. In fact, seeing as you obviously can't wait for me to post it up it's there already.

You know, I swear I only put two new speeds up, and yet the numbers moved three places each time... what's with that? If you spot an error let me know :dopey:

I think I'll attempt to join the club tomorrow, with a car that no one has used... you'll be amazed if I make it! :D

This is my last trial (yesterday)

Panoz Esperante Race car

310,71 Mph ..

What do you define as a Hybrid?
DE
I think he meant cars with gas and electric drivetrains, like the Toyota Prius and Honda...something.
Anyways, I found out why I was unable to break the 315 mark in the Lotus: the car was topping out gear wise at 315.73! So I messed with 5th gear individually and pushed it into the 316 mark:

A full 1.2 MPH faster than before! Funnily enough, aerodynamic lift was kicking in at 315.84 MPH, so I had to add 2 ticks front and rear downforce to counter it. Things changed: LSD, 5th gear ratio, downforce f/r (now at 5/6) softer front compound tire (for higher banking ability).

Just a quick question: Do you guys race on the banking through the corner, or do you lick the inside wall? I´m wondering, because I´ve noticed that running by the inside wall allows for a higher speed when exiting the turn. It is also easier to properly align the car for the home stretch. And another benefit is that tyres don´t seem to matter as much.

It seems as PD has made a somewhat poor job with centrifugal forces (also noticable on Nürburgring) with the effect that, instead of adding grip through a highbanking turn as it should, you slide out to the guardrails just as easy as if it was no banking at all, or even easier!

I run it on the banking because the Esprit naturally puts off aerodynamic lift, so the higher up on the banking I run the less lift it puts off in the turns before I hit the NOS and the less dowforce I need on it when I'm running through the turns. It also requires less steering input (which lowers top speeds slightly in the Esprit).

Hey DE, remember that whole 6.2 Mile thing and the "fastest production V6" thing that Leonidae was after and the whole "fastest production car" thing I'm always after? Well, holy frickin' crap.

That is after 8 minutes. Holy crap. Thank PD for the 6.2 mile 3000GT. Thank PD for all 4 of them. I have 2 more 3000GT VR-4's to try still.

WHAA..?! YOU SONOFA..!! oh well.. I still have my 6.2mile 300ZX knocking at the door of 300 mph.. though, I knew that 3kGT could do it, since it has superb aerodynamics compared to supra skyline and 300ZX.. but, I wanted to try it out with 6.2 mile 3000GT MR'98 :guilty: :(

oh well.. i bow to thy skillzors..  no hard feelings.

Looks like a few races are setting up here :) Congrats to everyone who beat records, or set new ones :D

Oh, and if you have a high rear downforce you have to drive at the inside wall, or face scraping the outside wall on the exit.

I look forward to it 👍 I'll be surprised if it's a car I've not thought of though :p

The 3000GT speed is an awesome record, and after so little time as well! Big respect to you for managing that  and the RLSR update too 👍

The camera jerked as the 3000GT photo was taken, by the way

You won't be surprised, my attempt was a miserable failure. I tried using the Toyota 7 as I thought that 1195 bhp would be more than enough.

276,09 mph... :grumpy: it wasn't enough.
