There are only 2 ways you could have done than in GT3
1- use the wheelie glitch
2- hybrid it

both of which are not allowed in here
Indeed.
Reading past the first page is helpful, too, especially when you don't even read that correctly... :indiff:

im trying to hit 300 in a supra first run i hit 293, played around with the settings a bit then 295, i changed the settings for 6th gear then tryed again, 295 296 297 298 299 i thought id done it then my nos ran out top speed is currently 299.42

Hi rs cosworth. Nice to see someone using a road car as their first 300mph car! Keep trying with it, the car is certainly capable, so get pushing :)

Please try to write with the best spelling and grammar you are capable of, though, as many of our members do not speak English as their first language - let's help them as much as we can!

I've just tested the Tommy kaira ZZ-II (by the way, it's my current love affair - absolutely glorious car to race) and I'm amazed - it behaves exactly the same as a Skyline  rather unsurprising given all they have in common, but even so.

However, I was astounded by how easily you can wheelie one - I did it accidentally, my best legitimate run after about fifteen minutes is 316.53mph but I know there's a bit more there. I'm very concerned, then, as to the legitimacy of our top runs for this car: it really is that easy to lift the front end.

i searched around the forums and even this thread (not the whole thread because its really long:) ) and i couldnt find an answer to this question
is there any particular reason the escudo has not been used yet? on my first run after light tweaking i hit 297 with no apparent wheelie... so once i get it over 300 i would like to post a pic but have no way to post a vid if its deemed necessary since the escudo is a "new" car to this club

Toronado
See around post 1100.
I'd forgotten that little chapter of our history

At last, a new speed from one of our Old Ones ;) I'll be taking a look at that soon, I'm off to the ATC soon - but I don't really doubt you, :dopey: so nice work 👍

I know it has been done before, and about 2 dozen times has it been done faster, but today I made my first attempt at 300mph using the Minolta Toyota 88C-V.

This is the same car that I used for my 48 hours of Le Mans, though I did add a stage 4 turbo and give it a well deserved oil change before I started. My first few attempts yielded a very wobbly 308.59, but this was without the desperately needed chassis refresh. With the refresh, another oil change and half an hours tweaking I was finally happy with 320.10

Any chance of adding me to the Leaderboard, and giving me something to put in my sig?

thanks toronado well since it seems that no one has really put too much effort into it i think ill give it a go... will a screen shot be ok for this as long as its under 350?? ive always followed the clk gtr closely as im a big mercedes fan, i remember hearing about those series of accidents, though ive never seen the picture of the one becoming airborne over the old hump on sarthe...:nervous:

Hi Car-less, nice work! It's good to see someone recount their experiences, and even better to see a nice capture card picture straight away 👍 I'll get you on the Leaderboard along with Opendriver's new speed, likely tonight. :)
As for your signature, if you want to quote this part of my post and place it in your signature, anyone clicking the text will be taken to the first page of the Club thread :dopey: might as well advertise while we're here! :p

Believe me, a lot of effort has been put into it. Not by myself, I hasten to add, perhaps I should try and it experience the aerodynamic retardation for myself.

A screen-shot will do fine for speeds under 349.99 MPH.
Up to and including 349.99mph ;)

I've watched your video, Opendriver, and it looks good to me :) Nice work! 👍

Leaderboard Updated
(Also with Car-less' speed.)

Thanks, I changed my sig around a little, so its a little easier to read. It took me about 45 minutes to get the car to where its at right now, the changes were not that big. Just some simple downforce adjustments and gearing increase

don't worry opendriver, now it works just fine 👍

i think i'll redrive nearly all of my cars next week, so maybe i can make this place less quiet!!

Why hello Earth, long time no see...
Somehow I doubt (although I haven't watched the video) that crimson wheelies, although I'll leave it up to him to reply :p

Anyway, as the observers among you will have noticed by now, I'm back, and happily without any Leaderboard udpates pending... Thanks.

Well, technically I did wheelie. But it wasn't on purpose. I just hit a rut and got a little air underneath the frontend. That video was for more of just a random 300mph run. No real competitiveness involved. Didn't mean to stir up anything. :scared: :sly: 👍

I'll be back with a higher speed from the XJ.

MS, I will always wonder how you remember which of your hidden improvements needs improving to keep up with other people's newly improved runs, or worse their improvements which improved on your expectations  :dopey:
