I'm on British NGT, the only problem is to unlock the other cups you need to win in every time trial, but the Ai is so fast!

I am in the cup class, it is pretty tricky.

I have seen on the codies forums people doing things on the PC versions ini files so that they can use the ferraris and porsches in the british gt like in real life, ive even seen an edited car that actually has ferrari written on the back.

Yeah you can race anything anywhere against anything if you mess with the files in the PC version. I haven't triedyet and I don't want to until I complete the game properly.

I have completed the GT and OVAL categories 100% in career mode. I am now doing the silver arrows championship in the CLASSIC category. I have 17 cups out of the 177 so far.

I think I have some free time tonight to get at least 1-2 hours in. I think I am going to check out the Pro Career mode. Sounds really really fun with a lot more available choices than the World tour mode. I cant wait to play this again. 177 cups awesome. 👍 I will start that mode tonight and post my cups. Its always more fun when you have someone to compare stats with. :)

Dam, choice of car really matters in the British GT championships..

In the cup class, stay away from the Noble and VX220, the Morgan willl take the field to the cleaners, or for a challenge without being impossible its the vette.

In the NGT class, so far it seems the vettes are fastest, Mosler is best through corners, Ultima is just fast, and the TVRs are solid as a rock.

:p

I used the Noble in the lower class and the Ultima Gtr in the higher class and did just fine. 95% difficulty.

Ok... Stupid question time...

How do you pick your car?... I can see all the different cars, but I can't figure out any way to select them...

the host picks the car/class which has a limited selection to choose from.
if your not the host, hit circle(i think) then click select(or does it say choose?) car, then pick your car(hit x). sometimes you can only pick 1 car, that has tons of colors, 2 cars with alotta colors, it all depends on what the host wants.
now if your talking about how to select cars when your the host, i have no clue.
i had some fun trying to drift the lancia monte carlo with no rear tires. its kinna fun trying.
i dont think im going to pick this game up, going to wait for gt4 online.

In world tour you cannot choose the car, it will just show you the competing cars, in pro career its self explanatory as the car slect screen comes up when you select the series you wanna race.

THIS WILL EASILY BE A 100+ HOUR GAME!!! :dopey:
I decided to take a break from the World Tour and try out the Pro Career mode. I played for about 2 hours and I only have 3/177 cups. :scared: The muscle car event had 11 races just to get 1 cup!!!! Going to be a very very long rewarding game. 👍 👍 I was also happy to see that when you play pro career mode you can purchase better tires, cam, suspension, roll bar, wheels and other items to help you survive the race. To help save time I skip the practice laps and the qualification laps. Then I set the game to normal with all the simulation stuff on and I start at the back of all the cars. After that I set it to 2 laps. Makes for some very very interresting battles to get into first place within 2 laps when your at the very back of 20 cars. I love this game!!! Here are my stats so far after about 4-5 hours of game play.
-12% thru game
-23% thru world tour
-3/177 cups in Pro carreer mode
To get ALL the cups you need to do these:
1. Pro career (normal)
2. Pro career (hard)
3. Fastest lap on all tracks
As I said in another reply, this game reminds me a lot of R-Racing Evolution. And thats a good thing. :)

just been having a blast of the toy slot cars, the best fun yet, scalextric on your ps2 yeeha

It was kinda stupid but going full throttle into the turns, "launching" the cars, and watching the pinball damage was entertaining at first.

I can do 1 and 2 in most discipline(I'm at 19 cups right now), but the third (If I remember it was Record lap on all tracks, which is harder) will be very hard and also very long. You will need to start again if you don't break the record on all tracks. :scared:

I can honestly say I will probably not try the 3rd one on all the events. Just not worth the stress. I will try to get as many of the 1 and 2 as possible though. There are so many settings in the game that really allow you to tweak the AI and how hard you want the game to be. You can make the game really hard or really easy. I like a challenge thats why I make sure to start at the back every time and I only set it for 2 laps. 👍 Like mentioned above, the Pro Career mode is the meat of this game. The world tour is just in there for a mild story line.
If I can beat R-Racing Evolution all the way thru then I am sure I can get really far in this game. It will just take me a couple months since I am starting to get really really busy at work again. 50-60 hours a week and trying to get my Camaro ready for my next race event in April.

Im only at 15% complete and ive been playing flat out since its release date! i havnt even touched world tour yet and i have 25 cups:D

Big game = me happy.

Yup like I said above in post 616 this will easily be a 100+ hour game. :dopey: 👍 Those who dont like it and just put this game down right away are truly missing out.

Ahhh... That's what I thought...

;)

I was trying out the cart races at a friend's house the other day. They're really fun to race, although some of the tracks seem too wide for cart racing.

Gotta try some more this weekend. :)

Is the cart racing available on the xbox and PS2 versions?? Sounds like fun. I thought I heard somethign about lawn mower races too.

Oh good that means it will be on the xbox version too. Do the guys fly off when you get into an accident. That would be hilarious like TT.

Yep, you get lawnmower races along with ATVs, Civics, S2000 and NSX race series in the Honda section.

Worth a quick trip to the Honda website to get the unlock code for it.

Very cool!!! I dont know how the heck they got all of this into one game. Its just loaded with goodies!!

Right, I've made a decision, I'm selling the Xbox version and getting the PS2 version, as the controls are easier to use IMO and I can be more precise. I'm glad I haven't gotten too far into the game, because I'll have to start all over again.

Thats a strange decision. Going from xbox version to ps2 version? :odd:
