Infiniti, Ford, VW all need adjustments. Getting a lot of PM's about Infiniti as well.

:scared: I'll deal with that one after. Championship Standings are done by the way, just waiting overnight to see if I get any complaints.
 
As I said in testing, the only way for the Nissan to be competitive is if it gets switched with the 207.

Only the ford and nissan need a boost, nothing else.
 
Infiniti is almost OP quick. But I would rather boost Ford and VW (slowest on straight by far, you can't hide that), than peg Infiniti back upsetting balance of it with other cars. When the Ford's and VW's are the one's way behind in a pack, and you can't outrun an Infiniti when you are drafting someone, that's 110% proof.

Yes, but the VW isn't off the pace. it can do 18.1's after 8 laps of practise, thats only a tenth off what i can do wit the infiniti. The last corner kills the golf, and it will only be at this track. If you take something off the infiniti, then you also have to penalise the other car that is rapid down the straight, which is the mazda. The only cars that need a boost are the ford and the nissan.

You saw it yourself, you went by me on Cape's front straight with no draft, whilst I was drafting a Ford. Results say it as well. I'll test some more tomorrow, i'm discussing with other people as well so I can come to a decision.

Mazda don't need penalties, it no accelerate from the grid.

Straight line speed means almost nothing, it's lap times that matter. If you choose to sacrifice straight line speed for cornering speed, it's your fault for picking the car if you can't overtake like that.

But when you can't keep with someone on a straight to save your life, it's a not right. Though laptimes are end goal.
 
A concern from someone who didn't make it to the main races tonight but reading the comments here and from what experience I have with you guys on track (not a lot) I would worry that by moving the BMW and VW closer to the top speed of the Infiniti (over pegging back the Infiniti a little) would result in other cars then needing a boost as everything else seems at similar pace.

I did enjoy all 3 races... the reason I haven't said so earlier was because someone would say that it was because of my results...

I enjoyed specially when I overtook you at the long right sweeper from the outside :sly:
 
I think I did OK tonight, except for the opening round. I got punted out of the way on T1, and I was pretty much stuck in the bottom 1/3rd of the field before eventually finishing last.

When you're right, you're right. Definitely the best Cape Ring experience in TOCA so far.

It's very hard to overtake on a circuit like this, and to me it looked like the cars were closer together than they have ever been since I joined in S6. Was probably a good decision to get rid of tyre wear. Apparently people make less mistakes in door-to-door racing that way.

Just reading back at this and you are having the same problem here as I was with the BMW in BTCC.

Sounds like I missed a lot of action in the main event and hope that next week I can make up the final few places in the heat raceto get that far and try to show my pace in the main events 👍

As a thought for next week, anyone have any idea of expected lap times and average top speed for monza? :)

I am going to say 1:58's for Pole time no draft. Top speed 160.

Tomorrow I will be testing the cars at Monza. From there I will make my decision, got some data for and against changes to compare. Also standings will be up tomorrow.

In race 2 and 3, I drop the car gearing to the point where I was topping out at the end of the straight in the draft. But the plus side is that I was getting a good run out from the corners.

Listen to yourself mate. you are banging on about improving a car which doesnt need and improvement, and ignoring the car that is 2 seconds off the pace. For monza you could peg the mazda and g35 back for one round, because otherwise they may be a little quick down the straight. The golf will easily make up time round the twistier stuff, and the ford is already quick in a straight line. If you are going to adjust any of the cars I would go for mazda and g35 - 10 hp and nissan could do with another 10 hp. don't improve your car, when it is on the pace, and don't improve a car just as it is heading into it's best track.

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=8647050#post8647050 . The test results were before the golf got 10 HP, and lancer did a 59.0, hardly 'slow'. And the Ford is one of the quickest cars round here, as shown by the tests.

I agree with gkm. But if you know how to block and there is a golf behind you there is absolutely no chance of the golf getting past
