The camera I saw yours from JB was the far one, i've not looked at it on replay, think that you braked to avoid Carb, and Gokartman just caught you?

Cant recall its all a bit of a haze:boggled: Sure as heck wont lose any sleep over it the car was rubbish anyway.:p

I wonder if Furi could ever predict TOCA being cleaner than the real BTCC.

Regardless, rage quitting from that (and he was third in that race and won Independents) is pretty childish.

Lol, quick to jump on my back. I will upload my replay then if you want.

Go on then, didn't look too bad from Yera's point of view, but I would say it was 50/50. :)

Nice work with the sweary storm at me on my VM's Dax 👍 Really mature approach at looking at things.

I must say, Dax closing the door on Yera looks very similar to R35 doing it to him from seasons past, and who raged that time?

I didn't know that going for the apex when I am ahead means closing the door now.

How silly of me.

Cool story bro, I guess you calling me out in the thread and getting all personal when all I was doing yesterday was exiting without causing a riot is so mature.

You couldn't let it go, you had to say something in the thread, so yeah I will have my say thank you very much.

Dax, you were off the road. Yera was on the tarmac. And showing the maturity level of a 5 year old on my VM's with sweary rants about "having no regulars" and "excuse for clean racing" really makes you look like a giant size idiot.

Why quit? I was punted into a spin on Race 3, kept foot in it and recovered to gain 4 spots by end. Grow up, learn that things don't go your own way all the time and that the world is not as black and white as you see it. The end.

Nope, yera never went on the grass to overtake me at all, despite the fact I had track position and rights to the corner.... nope that never happened at all, and this replay is just something that I faked.....

Yera had rights to racing line. You moved over and took him off clearly at 0:15.

LOLWUT?!

I was on the racing line lmao!!!

Sorry, didn't realise that I had to jump off of the racing line when there is a car behind me!!

He was behind me, how does that classify as rights to the line?

That answers all questions about your race craft!!

Do you have a stewards panel these days Furi?💡

Racing line is grass. Enlightening.

Yeah we do actually, Yera, me and Neljack been handling things but pretty much anyone of the experienced hands can contribute.

Right here's my 2p on this. I'm going to list what should have happened from both drivers to avoid this. I am NOT , repeat NOT taking sides here as it doesn't effect me as I'm not the series (kinda glad I'm not right now with all this whining)

Dax: You had gone wide and did not give Yera the space to run side by side with you through the next corner, which he was entitled to as his car was alongside due to your error. You should have straight lined the corner to avoid an incident

Yera: You had the run and tried to give Dax room, however possibly you should have backed off and got him later in the lap

I would say it was a racing incident due to the high speed nature and the fact Dax had an error of his own. It was caused by Dax but Yera could have backed off...

I think you're all missing the point. I made a small mistake, but I was soon back on the racing line.

Yeratel was still BEHIND me, and so did not have rights to the next corner. He decided to keep his foot in it, take to the grass and smash into the side of me to gain the position anyway though.

Sure I made a mistake, but it doesn't give Yeratel a free shot at my side from off of the track...

I am done anyway. I have better things to do in my life than this crap.

Dax, learn to take people's views onboard. Cheerio.

Its a game calm down

What is also funny is that this looked like a tiny incident (which it was) and it bought a huge uproar

Classic racing incident which always happens when neither driver decides to back off and try again later.

And this is where everyone in TOCA, including Furi is going to calm down, and take a break from the forums. Go outside, read a book or watch some tv. Don't log back in for an hour at least. I want calm discussion on the thread when you get back.

In my opinion it was a racing incident that blew up into a massive argument. The incident happened, and Dax is gone but let's not dwell on the past. It happened and that's that. Just get through the rest of the season with some clean, close, enjoyable racing.

Well I quite enjoyed the racing, maybe the last race was a bit to much for my internet.

Classic dax. That's all.

Sorry I couldn't make it this weekend as the racing seemed pretty good aa the cars weren't too badly off spec from my testing. I'll try to give it a go next Saturday if work doesn't catch me.

OK so here's my contribution

I didn't get through heat race so it will not effect me in any way I don't know either of the drivers and right now don't know who is driving what so will name the car so totally un-bias opinion. I'm not known by any of you but am trying to prove my speed and only just missed out on main event (6th in heat race so proof not completely slow) and I understand racing rules fairly well.

Here goes.....

Infiniti makes a mistake and clips the curb on the left hander of T3 this puts him wide and into T4 he cuts the grass (against rules 'off track') he then keeps his foot in (should have lifted and backed out as the chasing pack was always going to try to punish him for mistake) and rejoins the track by which time the chasing pack waiting to punish the Infifniti for it's mistake (in this case the Mazda) was already along side and on the racing line (line ownership) when the Infiniti rejoins the racing line (although I suspect that he didn't have much grip and perhaps couldn't do much else to stay right) the Mazda then goes on the grass due to contact from the Infiniti returning to the racing line that has a car on it and far enough up the side to claim rights to it. The Mazda then loses grip and punts into the side of the Infiniti taking it out the running.

On this my thinking is the mistake from the Infiniti 'caused' the incident and and then didn't back out to avoid contact with cars on the racing line. Due to that I would say Infiniti at fault.

Listen guys. I've just had the biggest 🤬 of crap in my career. Not in mood for anything. 7 randomers have just forced me to quit my WSC event twice due to message spam and chat. From next week all races are held IN MY LOUNGE. Connection is 🤬 for me but right now I don't care.

👍 What utter bull**** we had tonight. I'd rather DC than face abuse.......

Ok, having now seen Dax's (lag free) replay, here's my take:

Dax makes a mistake and gets two wheels on the grass (two still on the kerb so still on track as per OLR), Yeratel sees the mistake and spies an opportunity to pounce. Upon entry to the corner Yeratel is only level with Dax's rear 3/4 panel and should yield especially given the hazardous place in which the move was made. Doesn't, Dax, rightfully, takes his usual line which, due to the contact, causes him to lose speed. Subsequently costing Dax another position.

Had a look and agree with this.

I have to disagree. Show me one driver that would have backed off in that situation mid-corner seeing that Dax had made a mistake, especially when Yeratel is actually giving him enough room. Dax is almost off-track and still with no overlap (meaning that Yeratel would not lift - why should he? He has to assume Dax will stay on the throttle...), Yeratel is even going to the left as much as possible to give him some room, when suddenly Dax's back-end slides out from under him, and Dax rapidly loses speed trying to catch his rear, causing the overlap and slamming into Yeratel pushing him out on the grass. By that point, there was no way Yeratel could have avoided that. The point is that Dax was NOT on his usual line (he slid about a car width to the left), and even though he was still ahead, his car was the one making the swerve towards Yeratel, not the other way round. The second contact was basically just Yeratel coming back to track, a sort of pendulum effect caused by the first contact.

In my opinion, there is nobody at fault here, because Dax was just trying to catch his car, and Yeratel was giving him enough room, if Dax hadn't had that problem coming out of the grass. If that hadn't been on the last lap and for the lead, we would definitely not be talking about it. Racing incident, and a minor one at that.

Me for one.

I don't expect him to lift upon seeing Dax's mistake, I expect him to lift when he sees that there's no way he's going to make that move, i.e. once Dax has corrected and is taking the line for the next corner.

It doesn't matter about his usual line, the car infront has every right to take whichever line he/she pleases, unless the car behind has established sufficient overlap, at the entry to the corner, for the driver in front to warrant the giving of room (usually taken to be around level with the driver).

My opinion, anyway. And i'll leave it at that. :)

Interesting to see a kind of open public stuarding discusion here and even more interesting to see so mant different takes on the same set of events.

I think the bottom line is that both drivers were in the wrong in some ways (I.E. both should have lifted at somepoint to avoid contact yet neither did and neither would I have i will add)

So lets just forget about the incident and look towards the next race 👍
