“Profile” might be handy for searching/matching players within Home... And “Album” could be a place to stock screenshooting included in the new firmware... On the other hand they may have choose to drop the options and deliver them in the full game...

Album would have been for the photomode pictures in which there was an icon for, but not seen in that screenie.

2007. This just goes to show how hard Sony and PD are trying to make this perfect. Unlike Xbox,(no offense) develops something and releases it right away. Home is going to be brilliant. Can't wait.

Photomode makes more sense indeed.👍 On a related matter this state is from the official french community PS3 forum:

The way it is formulated here leads me to rethink the feature added by firmware 2.50. I initially thought of a screen-grab utility software only working at OS level, but it looks like Sony may also have delivered core components allowing implementation of such features by 3rd parties developers. Maybe these elements where missing for Polyphony to add their Photomode feature? I don’t know if we get this soon, but I can’t imagine Polyphony hasn’t think about a well-stocked Roadmap to keep us busy and happy with Prologue till the full game is out.


As for a wet Nurburgring, GT5 full release might reveal YK has a pretty decent sense of humor...:crazy:👍
 
Since I have been out of the loop recently regarding GT5 and news and updates, can anybody tell me if there's anything major coming?
Any updates? Except for the one they just released.

ok i found several links of this release date from fan sites but i cant find an official sony press release stating this. and from what the fan sites are saying its for japan only which will mean nothing for most of us. so im calling this release date just another rumor until i see Sony's name on the press release. :indiff:

lol x3!! drag race!! if pd read these forums when we say we want drag we mean drag racing not draging on devlopment!!
 
Im trying to play GT4 since a few days now but there is no motivation without online mode :/ you can do your hottest laps ever but can´t compare this... and the graphics sucks :( and i don´t like the driving physics... GT5P is so an awesome game :)

Until you can program, I don't think you're in a position to make the above statement. Programming anything seems to take much longer than expected and something with the ambition of GT takes serious time. For all we know, PD may have a lot of features ready for an update... they may be waiting for Home to incorporate with that, they may be ironing bugs.

Nothing at the moment other then the announcement of Spec III being available as a Blu-Ray Disc copy. Keep your eyes peeled though ;)

I laugh at how people like you are so impatient and fail to relize:

1. PD does not have credible experiance everyone else has with Online

2. Us players are essentially the beta testers as they are conmstintly improving on it.

3. Unless the game is perfect according to Yamauchi-san, its not gonna come

In other words, shut the hell up please. We have heard this too many damn times. While your at it, How about complaining to Sony themselves via the email address or their phone number sin ce you guys have nothing better (or meaningful) to do then complain.

Where was this stated, in the News page? NO, I'm not trying to start crap and say "you're full of beans". I'm just wanting to know where this was stated. What exactly does "being available as a BD copy" mean? People can go into a store and ask for or buy it as if it is a game? Is this update supposed to be so massive (when completed) it needs to be on BD?

its so you dont buy the game and then have to download a whole heap of updates.... for example if you bought a spec 1 copy on disc (somehow) and then went to play online there would be a considerable sized update to have to download. Whereas if you now by spec 3 on the disc, as soon as you get home its good to go with the most up to date version.

I would be annoyed if i bought a game and then got home and had to download 2 gig worth of stuff just to play online.... wouldnt you?

Why does everyone become so sensitive to criticism on this forum. What ever happened to freedom of speech? If someone wishes to criticise Prologue or Sony themselves then this is their right especially when they have purchased the console and game.

There is one criticism I have with Sony and PD which nobody can argue with. I purchased my PS3 in April together with GT5 Prologue and despite numerous firmware updates on the PS3 and game updates on GT5P I still have to switch my 360 on to talk to my friends. So far I have seen numerous superficial updates on both the PS3 and Prologue but none of them actually improve the gameplay whatsoever.

On a positive note I must admit to being rather excited at Home especially after watching numerous videos. Many Xbox live members are always laughing at the PS3 online service but by what I have seen of Home I feel PS3 users could have the last laugh.

So lets stop being so senstive and allow members to have their own opinions. Like I said im excited at the prospect of Home being launched but the sooner the better as my patience is running thin!

The Spec III Blu-Ray edition was announced for the Japanese market.
