You seem to have selected the wrong type of brush. It looks really fuzzy... oh, for the colouring, if you're using PS, just use the polygonal lasso tool and colour it in in a new layer.

Visit donbenni's devART page to download the tutorial. :)

yo anyone here know how to color in Flash? the only way i can is with the paintbrush, and that takes a very long time and looks very crappy.

hey spock, pm me, ill tell ya how to do it with flash okay.:D

i am pretty good.

edit: ive neirly finished my virst vectored car, it was all done in flash mx...

I copy and paste an outline into a new project. Then I start paintbucketing with the gradients. I get the colors directly from the car with the eydropper.

So... I didn't feel like making a whole new topic ("Gradiented Cars") for something that is nearly the same. ;)

I think it looks more realistic with Gradients... And to me, that's a good thing.

well, to me, gadient cars just look like crap but thats my opinion.

No, it's your opinion. [insert underlined insult that a 9 year-old would use here] Note the difference between fact and opinion.

Thanks. 👍

Technically, one might say that true vector art is made up of straight lines and polygons.

My opinion, industry fact. Why do you even bother to counter what I say? Shut up and do your thing. Damn man, there is that handful of you who just cant resist pissing me off.

It's so fun because you are so arrogant. What you do isn't so hard. I don't know why you are a professional. In fact, I've got a customer already. Soon I too will be a professional. For $10 I'm going to "Gradient" a guys Corvette. How much do you charge?
Your art form will die as soon as people find out how easy it is to do. It just takes time. Also, I think it's just a fad.

I printed out your RX-7 picture and my Skyline. 8 out of 10 people liked mine better. I don't know if this is valid to you or not, and I don't really care, but still. Cool results I think.

Did I piss you off enough?

Edit: I brought both pictures to my school, where I asked the students what picture they liked better. Sorry I didn't explain that.

Please guys... knock it off. vat_man had to clean up this thread because of milefile and IR's 'conversation' and don't you guys start up again. (I'm not talking about you mile)

Please.

Sorry about that post. It didn't really mean anything and it was more of a rant than anything. He is kind of arro...

Ok, I'll shut up.

Whoa, dude's knock it off.

Your making a big deal out of something smaller than my crap.

Awwright. Let's get some vectors back on. I'm currently trying to vector this :

Haven't started work yet, will commence soon. :)

Okay. I wasn't aware that artisitic taste was fact in this day and age.

Thanks for clearing it up. 👍

I agree with your opinion for the most part, but it isn't fact. I've seen vector art with just straight lines and polygons and it looks superb.

u18c, do you mind if I try to vector that too?
Sure thing, no probs. Shannon was the one who gave me the picture, you're welcome to vector it. ;)

Then we'll see whose vector is better! :p  J/K

There's no comparison, I suck. I can't colour properly.
