There's no way somebodie is gonna take the time to explain in depth how to paint a car in Photoshop. Figure it out on your own. Also, figure out how to round your lines.

Found this beauty at http://www.illustratorworld.com/cgi/database/art/view.pl?id=5085

Looks so real. DAMN that is really nice

The Mada 6 is finished. Please, give me some criticism on my vector method so I get better! (others on previous pages of this thread or my deviantART)

Nice youre really good i like the lights. As for comments well i think that the side mirror looks a bit weird. If you could finish off the mufflers then amn it would be great and your coloring is real good too.

The beginnings of my next project.

(Updated as I go along......)

Nice work there skip. I like it. BTW, what's the new ride in progress? I know it's an S15, but from what company, because I can tell it's not stock.

Thanks for the positive comments all. Some time later I will definitely make the Mazda 6 a complete vector, and probably redo the mirror and rims at the same time.

:O :O Well...I honestly dont know that much about Silvias. I thought I was just doing a stock Aero model, but you would probably know better than me. (In all truth, I picked that picture because I liked the angle.) This is the original:

that evo was sooo cool! and thats looking good already skip keep it up

now i am going to venture slightly off topic here but not by much

i have queries about auto modellista (only slightly off topic) ive got to the point where i can not see what the hell i have to do to get the last few secrets  and ive seen a few pictures of a cell shaded viper on the front of a box cover i want to know how to get it or is it just some random car created in the am style?

Well, you're right that is a Silvia with the Aero kit option. I couldn't quite tell with just the outline, my bad.

Good choice in car, but please don't use those rims. :D

Nice job. The detail looks like it was painfully time consuming to create. (And i didn't know that the CBR had a thrid, center light.)

I didn't know it had couplers on the headers either... You learn a lot of details when you stare at the thing for hours... :p

That is beautiful, Mista E.
Love all the details you put into it man, keep up the great work. It looks fabulous! :D

Mmm, here's a recent vector I've completed.

Tom's JGTC Supra. :D

Excuse the crappy quality, I had to get it under 100K to fit as an attachment, and uploadit.org has been giving me problems lately.

I like pizza.

EDIT : God, it really sukz. I'll put in a newer picture once I upload it to meh deviantART.

'carbon I'm going to be mean and make some constructive criticisms complete with funky diagram!

So when you post it on deviantART I wont laugh, in a bad way of course.

I haven't held back on my comments, I hope I haven't caused any offense, I didn't mean to.

Just the perspective on the decals/text are all off but damn, those lights and the body look great! 👍

Oh well you can honestly do better! - Oh and the number 36 by the windshield is also wack.

Geez... Just a little harsh, pleaze don't come over to the drawing competition and give comments. :banghead: At least he can just whip out the program and change it. I'd have to draw the whole friggin thing over. I know what I didn't wrong on most of my stuff anyways.

Alpha, that is just excellent!👍
w00t! Alpha pwnd! me.

Honestly speaking I did a great thing - posting the vector here before bringing it to dA. Time to bring it back to teh good ol' Illustartor board. Anyways, thanks for the diagram too. I did cut corners in the vector, and boy, did I screw up. Only now I realised how crappy that perspective (decal) looked like..!

The Castrol logo is awesome d00d! :( ( )

Oh, and BTW the #36 is indeed looking like that, due to the fact that the bonnet is all curvy and crap. And the characters (that Japanese writing on teh hood) is not curved in teh original piccie, but well I guess I could change that. :)

I probably need to type in more stuff, but I guess the important thing evertbody needs to know : I am teh shizzle/working on it.

Yea, I always do this on under18carbon's stuff it makes him a better artist.

Honestly I hold too much respect for everyone here who draws here, mannually and/or by the computer. I just don't want to go round criticising everyones work because I know, eveybody isn't perfect and neither am I. I just do it to my friend Mr. Carbon because I believe it helps him, in some way or another.

Well I surely hope so, d00d !

Hey, uh, I wouldn't mind constructive criticism either! ;)

Where is Initial Racing? I wanna see what he thinks...

Yeah, I'd much rather people say you know, that sucks, because of a) b) and c) rather than some generic "nice job!" or "good work!". Any criticism of my latest vector? I know the 1st two kind of sucked, but I think the Silvia's alright.

You want honest, ok.

Well your first vectors honestly were sub par with moose poo. Honestly they were just simple tracings of a car and bam there we go. Done.

The Blue Wagon thing, forgot the name, I mean, I didn't do my eyes any favours. I don't what was more hideous the car or the colour. Ok so it was your first vector it is completely understandable it wasn't very good. It's natural to suck at something it takes practice.

Now moving onto the Manaro and the Mazda 6. They were basically the same colour as each other. Is that a bad thing you decide. For one thing I think they were rushed jobs, I mean for such a high res image it was just huge blobs of flat colour. Huge blobs of flat colour are great but only so when used in a very small tiny image where detail is not needed. If your doing a large image you need to have vast amounts of detail or just another shade of colour to keep you amused, at least!

On the Mazda 6 the wheels were absolute shockers, partly to blame is due to the strange angle of them in the photograph, the problems of people drawing them and your newbieness.
The Holden ones were better but you can't say they were good. So I say they are bad.

Now with all that previous stuff under your belt you've learn't a few tricks or to. What! You didn't?

Well you did. I mean look at the Silvia it is a major improvement over the previous works. Ok so I haven't seen it finished yet with wheels and all but what can I say. It is a severe improvement than what you had before. It's not the nicest vector I have seen but I do believe some vectoring takes more than just tracing - it takes talent. If you can understand lighting, reflections, cars and everything else you'll be on your way to making some really good stuff otherwise you'll just be named as a tracer.

I hope my talk is what you wanted, if it's not ignore what I said, and read this : Good Work, I like the Colour.
