how can i make the outlines in flash mx and if i do can i export it to photoshop to color?
 
Nice job Mister E I like the shading and stuff much better, looks more real near the headlights too. 👍

Maybe it's my minimalistic ways, but I reckon it'd look better on a plain white background. A fancy background kinda draws the user's eye away from the actually bike itself, especially in this case where the colours are so identical.

Of course, the motorbike owns me though. :)
 
I was thinkin that too but it seems more like his trademark so it's cool, kinda like Glacius's stuff.

I had some ideas for the "interesting" aspect you speak of.

Like that black border you had before, you could just make a new one for the bigger version. You could also add the Castrol symbol, or Tom's symbol onto it somewhere in the left side.
 
here is my try at this,

it looks like garbage tho, and i still have the headlights and wheels... and I'd like to add an intercooler in that big grey mouth there...

im still experimenting, but i just wanna see what you guys think compared to what your first try looked like, as far as coloring went and whatnot. what did i not do enough of, did too much off, where did i **** up?

Freeway- I think it would be better to see a bigger picture. It's kinda hard to offer pointers with a pic thats so small. See if you can find a host.

Mister E- good stuff :D Only thing is...is it just me..or does the image just look toooo..soft? Maybe its the style that you are going for, but it does look soft to me.
 
I was subconciously going for that I think... I see what you mean and now I don't like it! :( The background right?

Back to the drawing board it is...
 
the background and the bike. I just think it needs a little more contrast. To me the whole big just seems to be around one tone. I say push the darks and the lights :D . O ya..add some tread on the tires haha
 
THEY'RE SLICKS! ;) :lol:

I'm probably going to change the background from a drowned out dark blue to a drowned out dark red or green. I'll add some contrast in there for you. I'm just messing around with this layout a bit, I'm sure it'll be different with the final product.

Mister E: I like how the bike is coming along. Forewarning, your background does continue behind the front wheel right? So, just fill in those few holes where it's still white.

Freeway: The reason it wouldn't upload is due to the filesize of the picture. GTPlanet has a small limit as to how large of a file you can put here.
 
I think I see what you are talking about, and if you look closely, thats the other side of the fork. I think. You might be talking about somethig else I missed, I'll check it out.
 
Hey Mister E, I made an avatar for you featuring your bike you did. I finally figured out how to do animated .gifs and thought your progression in the bike would be a great starting point. Hope you like it. :)

photoshop.. but it was bette rquality.. i ****ed it up when did lights in paint and saved it as jpg.. ****ing mistake
 
Practice more with the line tool, cos the lines you have there aren't curvy enough. Try and do as long lines as possible e.g. along the roof top. The longer the lines you can use the better, as they stay curvier. Zoom in on the pic when doing the lines and try to make the anchor points as accurately positioned as possible.

The shading's not too bad, but use the pen tool again to create the areas so that the borders of the sahding are again smooth (curvier).

Keep practicing, i'd like to see more of your stuff :)
 
All of these are awesome..can you teach me how to do this vectoring stuff? cause i'm curious and it looks fun.

To make a vector, you first remove the "XBOX SUCKS!" from your signature.

You are now well on your way to creating a beautiful vector.

Get a life PS2 fanboy. All consoles are good.

Xbox games are fun. PS2 games are fun. Gamecube games are fun.

I doubt I'll ever make your oppinions change because you're a stubborn immature ass, but the Xbox is a fine console, as is PS2 and Gamecube. Even if it's just a fake PC (which it's not), it still lets me play some amazingly fun games, and that's good. They look nice too, as an added bonus.

I guess you just haven't played Halo yet.

I graduate middle school in one year. I'm a 7th grader. Ands i have played Halo, Project gothem, Mechassult, Ghost Reccon, and they can't touch PS2. They have good eye candy, btu they gameply isn't as good. PGR2 is an arcade version on GT2. Halo is the second best game X-Box has, no doupt. But it's best is on PS2, also:KillSwitch.

Yes, XBox is good, but it isn't in the same league was PS2. It's liek comparing a good apple with a steak..you'd like both of them, but you just can't put them together.

And Gamecube? They are the bomb.
