Tacet_BlueNice vid, but I just can't believe you need to put over a THOUSAND horsepower in a Supra to get it do do a sub 10 quarter!
Thats a lot of effort, ok its road legal (backfire might attract police) and I expect it has a CD player and sat nav, but heres the figures for a STOCK ZX12. This is a timed run, not a manufacturers claim.
9.52 sec 147 mph Ricky Gadson 2000 ZX-12R Stock
PublicSecrecywhich if it were at the crank would only be about 800hp. It looked pretty stock too
GT3man2001That's nothing....

Tacet_Bluebtw I thought the takeoff was pretty good.
Boost LeeMarko's car is making 1500whp+ and it's an automatic.
The video is linked near the top of this thread.
PSThat could be 1100hp at the crank, or the clutch, which if it were at the crank would only be about 800hp. It looked pretty stock too, and not to mention that the guy had a pretty crappy takeoff. that was easily a response time of like .5s. IHRA dudes do it in like .09s...but then again, they're paid to be that good and if they arent no more sponsors...nice supra though.
Boost LeeGive us a call when that bike runs a 9 weighing close to 4000lbs.
I know you're a Chevy guy, but that's a Supra.Gordonfan24That Skyline backfiring is . . .. . . uhh, yeah, that's about right...

Gordonfan24That was pretty nice. Yeah, that reaction time was off a bit, but it was still a nice run, I think.
