I am hugely disappointed after seeing the leaked lists. They miss so many good super cars like the CCXR, Ultima GTR and so forth. They wasted time modeling "premium" cars that are **** and no one will even drive in the game if their isn't a race that you HAVE TO use it. And then their is the track list. No New York, and stuff is a killer to me. I was expecting 50-70 unique tracks in GT5, but they couldn't even get close. Makes me question what did they spend their time on..

They shoulda not made Go Karts, and Nascar. They just stole time from the main in-lay of the GT franchise. If you can only do like 30 unique tracks, do more, don't get people to side track making stupid ovals, or premium Nascars. GT was never about Nascar, so we don't been betrayed when it isn't in the game. We do feel betrayed though when GT5's content isn't even as good as GT4... We cannot even change the wheels on standard cars for god sakes! PD can import the standard models but they cannot import the wheel changer too? Pathetic.

After the leaks, my hype for the game went from a 10 to a mere 6 right now... I kinda don't want to play GT5 now, I am scared that it will be a huge let down. Forza made 400+ cars in full detail, and two games in the time span. But GT5 cannot make more tracks, or cars than Forza in double the time? GT5 couldn't even update their fantasy tracks to HD quality just so we have more? Sad...

The lack of what I thought this game was gonna be, makes me sick to be honest.

This is just nerves though, as I've not played it. Along with Metal Gear, the GT franchise is why I bought a PS3 for. Nothing else (Well FF too..). It's terrifying that it might let me down like Final Fantasy 13 did...

Im not picking on you or anything but really, you are going to just race those two tracks really? LeMans is pretty boring to race on unless you have a top speed of 230 . And this is pertaining to all the people that saying the same for you. There are sooo many real world tracks that could've been added that is better than LeMans. And they dont even have the bugatti circuit for LeMans. Pretty lame i think
A couple of points, every track is boring in a very short period of time if all you do is race against A.I. in pre-determined events. The challenge and longivity comes from online events where you can determine the entrants, race length etc.

Furthermore people are never satisfied, if Spa is released as DLC someone else will say where's Silverstone or Road Atlanta and on it goes.

Really sad about no Citta Di Aria or Costa Di Amalfi, they were both awesome (Citta particularly).

There are many omissions, especially considering how long it took them to make the game.

Yet again I'm sad that people whined about damage so much, because PD clearly spent a lot of time on that which would have been far better spent on more tracks/premium cars.

The track list is a major disappointment to me, if that's final, much more than the Premium car list.
Randomly generated soulless tracks aren't going to replace what's missing from past games or what should have been added.
28 unique tracks / 53 unique variations have been confirmed so far.

To all who are still complaining-

We have a venting thread for a reason.
GT5 has a course creator, therefore unlimited courses
GT5 lets us tune every car and make them unique.

I can’t believe that the track list is complete. Its so week I can’t understand that they would grab the NASCAR license and not have all the tracks for the upcoming season

Sorry but I have to say some of the comments are not taking into account how time consuming it would of been. If PD listened to this thread, car list thread, standard/premium thread then GT5 would be released 2020. You would then have people complaining because obviously the car list would look outdated.

My point is, in life its impossible to please everybody. This site might be popular but only represents a tiny fraction of those who will buy GT5. This majority will no doubt be far happier with GT5 because they are less picky!

I'm totally shocked. What next, no more Laguna Seca in GT6?

Just think of all those who were whining about rims... PMSL! How must they feel now?

Incredible. :grumpy:

3 Rally trakcs.... I really cant belive this is complete list before I see it for my self.

Thank god for track editor :)

I think in GT5 they have focused too much about new features: 3D (which many of use aren't gonna use), Head-tracking (the same), Course Creator, weather and time changing (the nicer ones :)), online playing, damage (I sincerely don't care about it)...

Yet again I'm sad that people whined about damage so much, because PD clearly spent a lot of time on that which would have been far better spent on more tracks/premium cars.

I can only assume people who say such things don't actualy drive in RL.

Damage, weather, day/night transitions, head tracking etc. add so much to the immersion and realism of the game.

You could add 10k cars and 500 tracks but if the actual driving experience is lacking were's the fun?

Sony should give them some money to expand their studio and give them like 50 of their best developers from the guys of MNR.

No, Sony should sell them and hire non Japanese developers to make GT. And a producer who is not selfish and disconnected from US and European auto and gaming enthusiasts.

3 Premium Miatas?????? Zero Premium Supra RZs?

Citta Di Aria
Costa di Amalfi
Seoul
George V
Opera Paris
Grand Canyon
HONG KONG
Twin Ring Motegi
Tsukuba Wet
Ice Arena(not in list but seen intrailer)
Swiss Alps
Tahiti Maze
Las Vegas Drag Strip
Gymkhana course
Motorland
Fuji 80's\90's....

I was really looking forward to playing people online on those tracks.

Hi everyone!
My very first post here on GTPlanet :)

For my point of view i'm missing Seattle, but i'm just happy that my all time favorit Nürbergring still is there.

Since The game has been underway for such a long time, and what i am aware of - also has been one of the most expensive games to create i could imaging that they will keep sending DLC's in our direction to keep us coming back for more 👍

I sense that GT5 is one of those games getting even better with time!

Regards from Denmark 👍

Yes the masses may be less picky, they'll be distracted by the shiny new 3D graphics, and spend their time driving into stuff so they can see the damage, then, in 6 months they will be playing a different game and not care...

.. for me, no new tracks of interest, very few new cars of interest - I know this is personal preference, but for me the single biggest feature in GT5 is the N24 track, the rest I could take or leave.

I still can't believe that track list is complete until I'm playing it for myself, but I suspect it is at that moment, when I'm playing the game, thinking about the lack of tracks, and Kaz's words (There will be No DLC), then thats when I feel the most disappointed...

.. GT 6 needs to be here in <24 months...

I noticed one thing...

The odd numbered GTs (1, 3 and 5) are usually the debuts on a new platform and are always crappier than the second one on the same platform.

PS1: GT2 > GT1
PS2: GT4 > GT3
PS3: GT6 > GT5?!?!?!

Im betting that GT6 will blow GT5 out of the water with its massive amount of content :dunce:

In that case the wait for the game I want to play isn't two weeks, it's another 2-3 years... :(

I'm not sure, but as the list feature 28 tracks with 53 "variations", wasn't the game supposed to have 60+ or 70+ variations ?
Is it the way i count that differs from PD or could there be more content not revealed.

Once again, i think this is the proper thread to post this:

Really, we are missing:

Circuit Valencia (i mean, acquiring a license and not using it on a full game???)
Infineon Raceway (WTF adding Nascar and dropping this course???)
Motegi (Couldn´t you give the upscaled version from GT HD Classic?)
Spa (stickers, rumors from Jordan... it was 99.9% in...)
The other wheather tracks, we had some hope

Driving park (includes test course)
Complex String
El Capitan
Grindwald
Midfield
Red Rock Valley
Tahiti Road

Citta da Aria
Costa de Amalfi
George Paris
Hong Kong
New York
Opera Paris
Seattle
Seoul
SSR11

Cathedral Rocks
Green Forest
Grand Canyon
Ice Arena
Pikes Peak
Smokey Mountain
Swiss Alps
Tahiti Maze

That´s 28 tracks. I don´t think DLC will be able to cover all that.

It´s just unexplicable to have less than the portable version... I REALLY thought they would use the upscaled assets from GT HD.

Still loving the game and the date, but i´m a bit shocked by this.

You obviously have been ignoring 95% of the comments on this thread, then. Big let down, don't even try to defend it with silly excuses.

Quite poor really. Looks a tired list.

I posted a while back no Midfield Raceway or Apricot Hill would greatly disappoint me. Also wanted some exciting new editions like SPA.

Can't believe the eventual GT5 is so lackluster after all this time along with around 200 Premiums spread thinly across the car types with glaring emissions.

If a fortune teller said you won't be buying GT5 on launch and will pick it up a few months later I would've thought absolutely no way.

Gah... the more I look at that list the more I wish I could trade the "What's missing" list for the "official track list".

I mean right off the bat

Citta da Aria
Costa de Amalfi
George Paris
New York
Opera Paris
Seattle
Seoul

Right there... damn...

Then Pikes Peak, Tahiti Maze, El Capitan, Swiss Alps... it's like looking through an old photo album and getting all nostalgic thinking they won't be there...

APRICOT HILLL!!?? :(

^^^ Surely, surely surely they realize waiting this long and having so much cut there is some internal problems in design and production... OR they know they had to spend a total of 8 years to make GT6....

I'm more concerned about the car list but I agree with you. I have a feeling that the full track list is not there. Neither are the cars. They have to save some sort of surprise for people to see..... I hope:nervous:

So PD wants to piss everyone off so they cancel pre-orders and don't buy the game so they can 'surprise' the die-hard fans that will purchase the game no matter what?

Honestly who really, really races the reverse tracks? In the GT series I have only raced the reverse tracks like 10 times, because from day 1 it just felt corny and cheap, they don't race real tracks like this, you would never see Monza raced backwards.

Why should we have to race a track backwards because this guy wants to say oh I have 70 tracks? No you dont you have 70 tracks you have 20 something actual tracks, and 600 actual cars, quit blowing yourself for numbers Kaz.

You are exactly correct, and no offense to the poster you replied to, but the comment sounds like society in general today. We are fed more and more BS and the consumer/society is always the one to suffer and ultimately compromise. People who complain are the ones who force companies and governments to go back and rework things so that THEY, are the ones who compromise.

Its silly to say, "oh we should be happy with what we got", it such a passive attitude. We are compensating them for their work, so the consumer and people in general need to understand that these people aren't working for free. They are being paid well, to produce a product, based on the fact that hard-working people like the contributors to this forum purchase, to allow them to continue their jobs.

If the consumer stopped paying for these things none of these products and therefore none of their jobs would exist. So it is they who should be looking out for us, not us, looking for ways to justify our purchase.

One last point, is people keep saying Kaz is a perfectionist who won't release anything until its perfect. The reality is that the whole game and process is full of short-cuts, the premium is only some cars, almost more tracks have been deleted than incuded, damage was last minute, 3d was last minute, the car list doesnt include any decent amount of additions and reuses most of the prior cars. I am just frustrated with everything at this point, when praise is given based on prior performance not current results and people overlook glaring omissions and shortcuts because PD are supposedly, artist.
