Wait, that reminds me. The very first licence test of the very first licence in every GT game has been a start-stop over 400m. Surely this would not change right? There's bound to be some alternative included in the game.

I have no idea. All I do know at the moment is the TEST COURSE appear's to have been dropped from the starting line up.

I must say i dont really give a hoot about that track anyways, it was boring to drive round for fun. And if I ever needed to do any testing I much preferd the complex string or one of the circuits.

AHHH the complex string .. Thats one track I am very sorry to not see in.

The more I think of it the less I think this is final list.

I really think PD released this list to make hype smaller and so we get a really positiv suprise when we buy the game.

Where are the 20 locations and 70 traks? Only 3 rally tracks? So many original and world course missing?

No way!! I dont belive it...

You know that it is confirmed that there will be no dlc? I think as soon as GT5 hits and get it´s patches for some bugs ect. they start immediately to work on GT6.

It has been said by PD & Sony that special events will be updated.

In order for thewm to do that they will have to push it out over an update.

which in effect is DLC.

Will they do tracks too.. I have no clue.. but I bloody hope so.

Until we have the game, and have been through it with a fine tooth combe, this is all we have to go on...

Whats more dissapointing to me..

Ever since talk of 2 standards of cars and tracks has been mentioned .. ages ago.. all it did was cause confusion on how it would be implemented , quality etc etc..

Here were are now with a release date .. a full track and car list still confused about alot of it.

We know that Cape Ring Periphery is there (from the leaked video).

Yet it's not listed on the Official Track list. Unless its just called "Cape Ring".

They called it "Outside" rather than "Periphery".
(Which by the way, would be a more logical name since the inner ring is called "Inside").

I thought the Special Events are just Prologue-type online matchmaking events that are updated every month? That's not really 'DLC' then.

It's called "Cape Ring Outside". Periphery = outside boundary. "Cape Ring" is the full track (North+South+Inside+Outside).

Special events in GT are not online, they are part of the single player.. like the AMG SCHOOL..

And they are content , that you will have to download...to me thats DLC.

Thanks for the clearup.

A bit dissapointed with both lists, but it will still be amazing to play when it's out. :)

The track list IMO is not bad but ofcourse we are missing some great track (Seeatle, Spa, Apricot Hill...)
I think PD just didn't have the time to put all this tracks in the game and it's better like this or we'll be getting the game in 2011.
Also, GT6 IMO isn't more than 2-3 years away, there we should be getting a much bigger track list.

ACE... lets wait another 3 years...

No excuses about running out of time :P they have had 6 years to do everything :P

5 to be precise ... which is still the longest development time of any GT game.

And theres no need for all this.. they had to write the game from scratch rubbish...most of this content was already 90% finished... 800 cars.

Won't be so hard with GT5 in my hands... champ

Oh i'll still be getting GT.. and rinsing the hell out of it online..

But don't stop me being annoyed at what this game SHOULD have been.

Whatever excuse they want to try and fobb me off with.

I wasn't on these forums when GT3 came out, but how was the reception to that game? I mean GT2 was like the GT4 in terms of content, then GT3 had about 20% of it....

Not great... but nowehere near as bad as this.

Reason is .. they never promised so much.. so the let down wasnt quite as bad.

This time round, they have via the media.. promised the earth, and deliverd a water melon... lol

I get you man, but still we'll have endless combos in online racing, so it ain't so bad IMO ofcourse.

The list is quite disappointing, not many tracks with time change and most of the tracks with weather are just the ice tracks.. Oh well..

Lets hope GT6 hits the ps3 as one of the last big titles in the next 3 years, I mean physics are done so the engine needs no tuning for many years, its just a matter of pumping in the content, but I am dissapointed with no DLC :( when did they confirm this? I know they said it for GT PSP but im shocked at hearing it for GT5.

Yeah, it annoys me how they touted weather effects and time changes like they were going to be a big part of the game, yet only applied them to a few tracks.

I wasn't expecting all tracks to have the ability to display them, but damn if I was expecting more than 9 "tracks" to have them.

Exactly, the engine is done and for GT6 they'll probably be focusing on tracks and new cars ofcourse.

Guys, just think about it.

First they tell you they are making awesome, incredible cookie that was never made so good before.

Then few hours before cookie is ready they tell you its gonna actually taste really bad so you fall in depression.

BUT ! At end they told you they was only kidding and that cookie is even better then it was supposed to be.

By doing that you are even more happy then before, much more happy then you would be if cookie was as expected all the time..

I have my fingers crossed on this !

This is not a joke on cookies, this is serious stuff. People are canceling their orders.
How good does that look for Sony?
How profitable is that for Sony?

Very disapointed, GT5 has less tracks than GT4, aswell as not including some very popular world circuits and a huge bunch of the cool original tracks. For 6 years i would have thought GT5 would have all the GT4 tracks and more, but seems its not that way. And once again, no Spa.

I could understand when they toned down GT3, because they pushed that out in a small time frame, but GT5 has been in development for the best part of a decade.

Thats optimism at its absolute finest...

Good for you for thinking that way.. for me.. it will still be a bitter old cookie thats been made with salt instead of sugar.
