It depends on teh driver and that is the bottom line. I agree with you Rx-7, but it is no reason to tell someone that they are a loser or suck because they drive auto. That is discrimination right there. They might not like what you do, but their human too and decide how they want to do things their way. Like I said though, I do agree that manual is faster, as long as you know how to drive it. - I did put this in a little late - sorry
Manual is faster if you're not the one who shifts first! So me and my buddy are side by side down the stright. I'm waiting for him to shift before me and vice versa. We're near redline and he shifts before me. Then a split second later I shift. That shift cost him a little stall/roll which I gain by not shifting yet.
