The map in Travian is based off of a coordinate plane. When you click the view map button, your village is in the center, and you can click on the arrows on the side to scroll around the map. The left arrow decreases the X coordinate, the right increases the X coordinate. The top arrow increases the Y coordinate, and the bottom one decreases the Y coordinate. Each square counts as 1 field in the game. A square that has a village on it will have 2 circular roads and a few buildings on the picture, and a square without a village will be green, or have a pond, or tree's.

You can do a mouse over on a village to see a little info about it, or you can click on a village to see lots of information on it.
 
Oh, it highlights the directions on it. I missed that. Minus -9000 for me. I might have to sacrifice some villagers to appease the gods.

-y is north
y is south

-x is west
x is east.

Yeah but not only by my army... a good friend of mine has 7 villages with like 2700 inhabitants.... the rest is up to your imagination......

Edit oh I got you wrong... well however... "owned" is even more the right word if I/ my friend get involved

My buddy is the 9th one, Gewinnnix..

I've also received threats from MrLexistar (pop: 229, but a member of an alliance with pops over 1000, but pretty far away, and Sigurd (pop: 276, also not bad alliance, but again pretty far away.)

My pop is 178 btw.


Oh and thanks for the translation Max. I might call on our Paragon member The Great Hawk, Hawkens in the German game, if things start getting out of hand :)
 
Grr...

Someone just attacked my village and made of with half my resources. They were nice enough(?) to message me after the attack and say "Sorry, but I needed the resources". Hell, they're twice the size I am - who do they think needs the resouces more!?

I think it's time to stop thinking about the resouce fields and begin building an army...
 
God. I keep getting attacked by the same guy with a pop. just slightly higher than mine and with less than 10 clubswingers. :irked: At least hes not getting away with alot of resources.

I got it up to 5 as early as I could in case I did get attacked so it's not as bad as it could have been. They mainly got away with crop.

My pop. is now 45 so I'd better get at least a small army up and running so I can harrass anyone else who wants to have a go.
 
Heh. Stereo decided to attack me again. This time he got even less resources. He only got 34 crop resources thanks to my lvl6 cranny. :)
 
Third cranny is completed and they still don't totally cover for level 8 ressources upgrades... Does anyone knows if players usually build a fourth cranny or leave room for other buildings? I only have 6 empty lots in my village.
