If you put much thought into it this doesn't seem nearly as impressive. The only skill involved is being able to drive a manual transmission, likely a sequential anyway. The real skill had already been put to use by whoever calculated the specs of the ramps and the speed/distance needed.

You also need the ability to suppress whatever fear you have(which is harder than you may think). That is where the real challenge lies.

Considering what this guy can do on a motocross bike, I'd say being in a fully caged rally car is pretty tame in comparison. I mean look, he purposely puts it sideways into a wall at the end (I was wondering why they wouldn't have made the landing area larger for this reason...).

The jump was sweet but I must say that the hour show leading up to it was awful. There was not nearly enough stuff to talk about for a hour.
