I drift in GT2 all the time. A really good car is the Mines r34 with sims. All you have to do is change the ride height and drifts are easy. No complicated adjusting. It's best to change the brake balance to 18 in rear and leave the front at 12.

also the mines lanEVO V drift like it has sims on it although i have the super softs. trail mountain is hella easy in this car:trouble:

Oh sny_pher, so you play GT2 on the computer? I thought you play it on the PSX/PS1 and have it connected to the computer. If you had a TV Tuner Card, then you can record clips.

I'll try those settings as soon as I can find my GT2 disc :D

Too bad I can't record clips...everytime I want to watch my replays I have to load GT2...

I think that the R34 is a great drift car in it's own right, maybe it was designed for it :) For that corner, when I use the top view replay, the car is virtually perpendicular to the road...very sweet angle :) I've tried with the Evo VI RS and the Subarus, but none of them are as sweet to handle as the R34...

And oh, I like to feint my R34...I feint before virtually every corner...in fact, for the series of pics I posted, there was a left turn, (remember the triple right-left-right)...I took the opportunity to feint left, then swing right, and that's how I got that drift angle :)

I think I'll post a new series...this time from the REAR of the car for that particular turn...

haha, maybe this is starting to look like some tutorial... :)

sny_pher... there is a very good PSX emulator called epsxe (www.epsxe.com). It is rather difficult to install but the end results are much better graphics and a virtual memory card.

But how are you going to transfer that particular replay of the GTR to the computer?

I don't like GT2's frame rate... it hurts my eyes. They put so much crap in the background that it renders useless because you can't follow the road.

GT2 on emulators are considered 'special' because back then Sony has made a big deal to prevent mod chipping. However it was beaten by a Gameshark code in a few weeks (or was it days? Haha). Regardless, you'll need special methods in order to play GT2.

I use connectix VGS...it's the fastest and stablest PSX emulator I've used...though the graphics are quite bad...but most importantly, GT2 runs smoothly and I can drift :D, so I can gorgive the bad graphics. Also, I only have a PIII 500, so I can't play any good racing games...no offence, but I think that NFS3, 4, 5 and 6 are way inferior to GT2...I rather play GT2 with bad graphics.

Connectix has its own memory cards...so I can actually send the mem card to someone else who plays GT2 on connectix. It's only 128 kb...regardless of how many memory spaces are used.

There are also some software available that can convert bleem saves to connectix saves to Dexdrive saves and vice versa...
I think it's at http://www.aldostools.com/psxemus.html
