TT 35: Laguna Seca (SUSPENDED) & Chamonix West. [Post 1 for tunes!]

In real life they also cut the corners.
In Belgium there's a new circuit, Mettet, (3 years now) with a mini cork screw in it.

The real fast guys just jumps over the grass en can win about 1 or 2 seconds. But you need real big **** to do it...

So, if it's not illegal in real life....

Keep up the good work amo, you'r always at the top of the ranking 👍.

Do you seriously think it's not illegal in real life?

Do you seriously think it's not illegal in real life?

Depends of organisation....
You see the picture of Seb. Legrelle on the circuit of Mettet?
Is he cutting the corner ? Yes... did he won the race? Yes...

Some organisations places kind of blocks to prevent it. It's a kind a dangerous to do it. You have to go fast enough, otherwise you don't make it on to the asfalt.
I'm also a big rallyfan, used to be a co-pilot about 10 years ago. And I saw some serious corner cutting in the WRC. They cut about 100metres and instead of 2 x a 90° corner they did 2 x 45°, so they won at least 4 or 5 seconds. No problem, no penalty, some teams did it, other didn't.

My point is : it depends on the organisation, when you do it en you don't get a penalty or in GT5 'a red time' it's OK.
When you'r time becomes red, it's not OK.
It's up to PD to change it.
But I'm pretty sure, even when it's not possible to cut that corner on Chamonix, that GPL_Amo is on top...

Another pic from Mettet.

Looks like Amo sent all 1 person of his fan base in to back him up haha :p I would love to manipulate that last sentence to a more fitting title for him but I reckon it would not be allowable before the watershed :sly:

The past month of seasonals that have been released by PD and Amo has been dirty on every single combo from memory here's some examples...

starting at Indy road course in the 2J he hits the wall on turn 1 to slow his car down FAIL

At the Nurb in the 2J he smashes off a wall 3 minutes into the lap to get a greater exit speed FAIL

At Chamonix in the Elise he cuts massive chunks by going off track and also hits more walls on the way around the track than any replay I have seen in recent months FAIL

And finally Laguna in the Evo, He finds a line through the cones at the beginning and all good until he heads towards the uphill left hander turn heading to the corkscrew and he jumps the corner with 4 wheels off just like the motorbike pic above :dopey: another FAIL

Has this guy ever run a clean lap? I think not! he is set in his way off using advantages that more honest participants would never consider 👎 Don't overglorify a cheat as eventually it will become par for the norm and all people will do it and this great game may as well go in the bin, as KB18FAN says...

I'm pretty sure there is a track for a reason

I'm happy to avoid all seasonal events from now on as I know that Amo and his little GTPL family will have exploited the event before I get to it... I wont follow suit, and you certainly wont get no arse kissing from me
have fun and goodbye losers :sly:👍

I'm not a fan, never, not on PS3 en not in real life.
I like motorracing, I like nice races but for me it's the same, if Rossi wins, fine, Stoner wins, fine or ***** Justin Bieber, whatever, fine by me. When the race was good, thats important.

He's also not in my friendslist. Why woul'd I? He's from the other site of the country, we're not speaking the same language (me -> Dutch, Amo -> French) and being his 'friend' because he's fast should be :dunce:.

I remember Amo's namen because he's just like me from Belgium, that's why his name sounsd familiar to me. I'm not that long in to GT5 and TT, so I don't know all the other guys...

For me the Laguna seca lap was clean.
Chamonix, yep, corner cutting all the way. But if he doesn't do it, other guys do en they shoul'd be above him in the ranking.
So, if you like to be on top (uhuh, I know, a joke is on the way :dopey:), you have to use every legal way....

Whatever, this is a endless discussion, people have their opinion about things.

That's just sad. In my opinion, TT are about trying to achieve YOUR best possible lap, and each of us know if we are being fair or not. Surely some people will feel ok about cutting corners, but some people will do anything to be on top in life as well, won't they?
Keep running TTs, be happy with your best possible lap, and who cares if some guy in Siberia is number one flying above the track in an airplane?
I know I wouldn't get any pride for being on top for the wrong reasons...

I am very happy to hear that!
Fair winds Mr. P.

Excuse cuts Amaury Chamonix, he did it blindfolded.

And thank you to those who support it, it touches me because ultimately, it is only a game

Goodbye Mr P and do not hesitate to eat prunes to beat your excessive constipation.

Regards from FRANCE.

Hahaha feel free to eat something nowhere as tasty as prunes yourself :sly:👍

There's a nice story about Walter Röhrl after he joined the Audi team. His team'mates' gave deliberately false info to the mechanics and they in turn fitted the wrong tyres for the track conditions. He only found out because one of the mechanics tipped him off. Walter went on beating his team'mates' on the lesser tyres regardless and threatened to push his Audi off a cliff if they'd ever pull the same stunt on him again.

There are far too few Walter Röhrls I should say. On the top off my head I can only think of one person in GT who runs blistering fast times AND the replays look very inspiring because they are technically very beautiful. But then I'm a sucker for GT replays anyway.

Lately there were a lot of replays hardly worth the download, save watching them, because the driver might be posting fast times, but the quality of race craft is seriously lacking and in turn the replays look like something from a comic strip.

Unfortunately PD gives far too few people the chance to display a highly skilled lap, which falls out of the top 10 but is nonetheless worth while watching because of the technique displayed.

Thanks for noticing :sly: sounds like you're talking about me :D

Had another go at this earlier with a slightly different gearbox, managed a 135.5. At best I can see another couple of tenths in the lap.

Fantastic times by the top 3 or 4 👍 135.0 or under is seriously impressive

Excuse cuts Amaury Chamonix, he did it blindfolded.

Pity that it continues to run blindfolded...

Bit tired of all this talk, saw that Amo made a great time and went to look at it,
thinking maybe all this talk as made in change and what do i see?...

lagunasecaracewaypd.jpg

And no, nobody does that on the top 10, only him.

Certainly is a fair cut of that corner, would like to know how he managed to not get red time. If I cut that corner with just my two inside wheels I end up with red time

Seems a very significant corner as well, especially when all of us are focused with maintaining the highest possible exit speed. If he is holding more speed than others on the way up the hill then those people who are defending him are just as bad as he is.

A couple of MPH difference on the way up that hill will easily give a car length or more advantage.

You can cut that corner quite easily without getting a red lap to be honest. Not that I'm encouraging anyone to do that!!!

thought this thread was for tunes , not corner cutting , anyone got a tune for an elise in the snow

I did a 1:35.955 without management.
I tried to make this shift as my friend Amo but I am NEVER happened.
He did this with such precision!
Try it and see well.

It's a shame that a great forum as Gtplanet is going after someone who is also a friend of my forum in France.

Shame, 90% of your posts concerning the person of Amaury:

Amo it, it Amo etc. ....

Damage.

Simply trying to do what he does and talk after.

For info, it runs with almost a foot off and I're trying to help solve the problem of potentiometers on his G27 pedals but without success.

Friendships.

Yeah the picture above and his sloppy replays online show just how precise he is, It takes more skill to stay clean on track :p

Try it and see well.

No Thanks :dopey:

It's a great place GTP with lots of clean racers who don't like to see people cheat their way to the top of leaderboards! just because your forum abides by this sloppy way of racing online doesn't mean we have to like it also.

That would mean lowering standards and becoming a cheat also... No Thanks again :p

Don't make excuses for something you obviously agree with! as if to blame the equipment for his off track excursions? hahaha  Talk about sidestepping :p

Keep sending your guys over with silly excuses but it all boils down to the same thing! GTPL = cheating sloppy racers 👍

Now go take a flying one please

Old Grumpy Bastard

No you did not understand anything old bastard, I just wanted to say that when he has a foot nine, you'll be even farther from his lap.

It is time for you my guy to go relieve yourself in the crapper, finish with your constipation or you'll look like a terrorist on this forum.

It has nothing to do with jealousy Sheep, hard for you to understand that I see. Have you ever seen hostile words spoke to top 10 drivers who are clean on gtp? let me help you, uh uh uh uh, no you have not.

You are an absolute idiot with no sensible reply whatsoever :dunce: At least my argument has validity! you are just a waste of internet bandwidth to me now stop typing unless you have something sensible to say 👍

Hmmm...This thread turn interesting...
Anyone tryed TT's

Take PROZAC against jealousy !

Smashing lap of AMo !👍

Mr P.Bastard : there is a fault, no ?

Haha ;) well actually I rather liked your original lap when you were at p3 or somewhere in the vicinity. they get pushed off so very fast unfortunately.

Myself I could see a 1:36.5 for me, but I just can't be bothered to put in the extra effort or fiddle with Dazzmeister's tune to make it a bit more aggressive for the DS3, which I probably needed.

There are a couple of others too, so hopefully nobody feels left out.

Just want to say: Ron, that was not very smart.
