I thought camber is broken. Wouldnt tunes with camber be faster without it?

More camber (up to a certain amount) increases cornering speed. Less camber increases straight line speed. As far as I know it's modeled pretty well in the game.

The most grip is currently at 0.0, any camber added will reduce potential grip but can be used to make steering less aggressive or intentionally cause slip (easier rotation) in the case of rear camber on FF cars. It has no positive effect but can be used to flatter your driving style if you prefer a less aggressive turn in or less grippy rear on certain cars.
The current verdict is that camber is either broken or we haven't figured out how to apply it yet, it certainly doesn't have the same effect it did in GT5.
If a car comes with camber as stock (most racing cars), set it back to 0.0 to gain grip.

No, it isn't. 0 is best.

@Dragonbeard
Its been flogged to death here and here, but there is still an active thread here if you want to present your findings in a way that we can replicate and test ourselves.

As @DolHaus says, you can use it as a tuning aid, but not how you'd expect to.

A well tuned FF might have some camber on the rear to quell understeer, so removing this might bring back some unwanted understeer, thus slowing the tune down.
