It was very enjoyable until Indianapolis when I just touched the gravel and nearly went off, and you came flying past me sideyways in the gravel!

I spent most of the rest of the race (which I won), bored, and watching Sukerkin's battle on the screen next to mine!

I sort of clipped the grass then gravel then tried not to smash you into the forest

you would have escaped me anyway, I was only quick on the straight and through mulsanne corner, but you got me on the straight after that.

Unknown driver in an MR-S Autobacs at Grand Valley East.

That was a sweet race for me, the Cusico drove like a dream on Grand Valley east.

Both of those vids are me. The first is me short-shifting the MR-S (thank you WRS!) and the second is my epic battle in the Garaiya against Sjaak's Subaru. He had me, plain and simple. We battled for a while, but he always knew the fastest you can push through the Porsche Curves, I've never been good there (hence me losing it and 4th place too in the last gasp.) I think I had him up the hill through Dunlop and the Esses, which is why I drafted back into contention on lap 3. A pass at 160mph on the grass approaching Indianapolis, and then full on drifting into the entry. Side by side twice in a row through Mulsanne corner.

Immense fun. This was the race where I was laughing like a hyena and shouting 'COME ON!'

Lan 2 had a race with plenty of overtaking down Mulsanne too, at one point I remember Car-less was actually pushing Roo's car!

Oh and 3 wide going into Indianapolis really isn't fun, especially when you have an AMG-driven Subaru on one side and Mark T's RX 7 on the other..

Ahhhh yes.... my worst race of the lan....

That would be the one where i got hit by everything apart from zupersteev, who disappeared into the distance, and then after miscalculating on lap 1, i punted the celica, which i let carry on in front of me, which allowed Sjaak's MR-S to pass too, the both of which i passed again, then i punted the wall, and consequently the celica again going into turn two on lap two, which let them past again, then i miscalculated and punted Sjaak again, going through the chicane, and i knew that was verrrrrrry bad, so i moved over to the very edge with some stupid late braking on the loooooooong right, only to have Sjaak punt me right across the tarmac anyway (revenge methinx! and deservedly so), at which point i decided to continue and get out of everyone's way, which proved pretty difficult. Good old Stevisiov was nowhere to be seen till we'd all hung our headphones up 👍

I hate Seoul..... its superbaaad....

I quite enjoyed that race, although I was luck enough to break free of the pack which allowed me to build quite a lead. Pack racing is much harder, although that car on that track was perfect.

In the Seattle race, it was sukerkin in the Silvia - hence my being a little cautious in my passing attempts One of my better races, that.

Didn't realise it was the same race that I clouted the Celica off the line though.

Edit: I also don't remember leaving my mark on quite so much Armco, either. But what do I know?

This one is AMG. in the Amemiya Asparadrink RX-7 at Suzuka West with its "2nd corner of doooom".

See Bert grab 3rd at the end, only to run wide, then for the race to stop a fraction of a second later.

I loved the Seattle race, I hadn't driven the car before, but the Rx-7 seemed faultless there. Again I was lucky, as I started first on the grid(as I did most of the weekend) so I had life easy, saying that I put fast enough laps in to pull away so it wasn't an entirely undeserved win, though I can imagine my whole weekend would have been much worse if I started in last place for most of the 'Ocho' since I like Seattle.

Leguna Seca, oh dear. I wasn't in that video, but just aswell because I was all over the place. I had moved to the Dutch LAN, and forced to use the DFP for the first time ever, needless to say I was all over the road, with particularly dodgey braking thanks to a very light brake pedal. I managed to spin on the cork-screw and crash into Sukerkin, which he appeared very annoyed about afterwards. Towards the end of the race i sort of got the hang of it, and was able to get my place back off Sukerkin, though there was no catching Daan, I think I came 4th in that race.

Suzuka west, was a very interesting race for me. I had never driven the Subaru before, nor had I driven at Suzuka west before. The good news was The car appeared to be similar enough to the previous ones. The track map also appeared to be most of what I knew of suzuka already. Starting in first for once wasn't so much of an advantage, since I wasn't sure what to expect going first into the second corner. I was fortunate enough to stay ahead, despite going onto the grass, and I managed to build a good lead, which was just aswell since it was VEXD chasing in second place. A win at Suzuka was a good way to end the series.

That was the only chance i had in gaining a place, so i tried.
I saw the lead car crossing the finish line on the map, so i didn't have time to pass AMG on the following straight.
I've got rammed in the first 2 laps on second corner, while i had a very good braking point, so i had to fight my way back from 5th or 6th place.
And nearly got a podium finish

I believe I remarked an expletive, preceded by "What the..." when I got clobbered by that Celica - I took a very wide (but legal) line round the outside to steer clear of the pack diving for the apex. 2nd to 5th in one hit. But I really, really enjoyed reeling in the Impreza. Then, when I got him, I wiggled and let him back past! Then had the fun of getting him back again.

Apart from the unintentional smack from the Celica (I think he got tagged and recovered into me) and some cold tyre understeer, it was a very clean race and highly enjoyable

I think the Celica was knocked into you by a Silvia. The Celica seemed to be coming in at to funny an angle to be on a normal line.

Ah, new man on the DFP that explains a great deal, Steve . I initially blamed Blacksheep for all the punting that seemed to happen at every braking point in that race and thus was mightily embarassed at my vocal denigrating of him when it was your goodself sitting in the chair he had occupied for most of the day .

Be assured that the only reason why I referred to the track craft oversights subsequently was because I had publically castigated the wrong man in the first instance and felt guilty for it.

I stand by the essence of what I said tho', in that you would've passed me cleanly in the end so, taking half-chances which were not really there nerfed us both. But it was the conclusion of a packed racing day and it's water under the imaginary bridge now, so no hard feelings from this side ... just remember next time round that I really do hate the fatally flawed 'rubbin's racing' philosophy and I might actually bring a sword with me to enforce my point (or at least just to sit on top of the monitor as a reminder to all that this driver doesn't suffer 'leaning' lightly) .

At LANs, it's impossible to "police" contact and, with 6 thinking drivers (as opposed to 5 AIs following the same line slaveishly) we can all try to occupy the same space at the same time without necessarily seeing each other. People also hold themselves to different standards - daan doesn't use the concrete at Deep Forest, I don't use the red tarmac at La Sarthe.

I find it easier to have a "rubbing's racing" policy, with the caveat that people should avoid contact if they can and relinquish places they gain by less-than-fair means. It avoids lengthy steward's enquiries after each race (with no saved replay beyond what dustdriver and daan could glean) and ensures we're all driving to the same standard. Ish.
