Is that rust on the right of the wheel? :)

At LANs, it's impossible to "police" contact and, with 6 thinking drivers (as opposed to 5 AIs following the same line slaveishly) we can all try to occupy the same space at the same time without necessarily seeing each other. People also hold themselves to different standards - daan doesn't use the concrete at Deep Forest, I don't use the red tarmac at La Sarthe.

I find it easier to have a "rubbing's racing" policy, with the caveat that people should avoid contact if they can and relinquish places they gain by less-than-fair means. It avoids lengthy steward's enquiries after each race (with no saved replay beyond what dustdriver and daan could glean) and ensures we're all driving to the same standard. Ish.

Quite right, my friend, it is by far the most sensible way to procede - and I'll repeat again (for the astonishment of all :D) that I thought the 'cleanliness' of the driving standard this time round was remarkably good.

When I made mention of "Rubbin's Racin'" being a fatally flawed philosophy, I was speaking generally rather than implying a specific critique of UKGTP racing rules.

That said and done, what "Skyline" were you referring to in your earlier post? Suspicious minds feel that such could be a blatant attempt to extract a soapbox rant out of a certain Brit-Car fanboy .

A DBS9 is faster, sounds better and maybe drives better but the V8 Vantage looks better. A DBS9 is bigger and a sportcar has to be smaller to be a sportscar.

Agreed on both counts. And one of the major reasons that UKGTP will continue past the release of GT5 - the safety of a small room and an RJ45 will result in some less than clean racing online...

Roo snapped a lovely R32 in the distance while that Focus estate was waiting at the lights.

Oh yes, I see it now - tho' it only seems to appear when I cover the Aston Martin up with my hand ROFL.

Tah dah!

Quality's better on the original.

Edit: Nevermind, you found it :)

See? I'm learning bits of Corel all the time.

:D. I have to say tho' that surely the best way to improve the quality of the picture is to brush that silly Nipponsiki rather than draw attention to it :P.

Slightly off-topic, what's COREL like these days? I've not used it for something like 15 years (being a Photoshop chap).

Another vid, and the first of Sunday's races to be video'd

I really hate driving LM cars....

More LMs

My Zonda vs Famine's McLaren and Venari's Zonda at Midfield.

Have I mentioned that I hate LMs?

I hate to do this again, but Famine was in a corvette C5R, because I remember he was threatenting to steal my lead the whole race.

i would also like to say, as much as I like the looks of the Zonda LM, its a pig to drive without TC's

Another LM battle through the streets of New York.

I still hate them...

Wow Daan you had an even worse LM series tha me lol and i parked my car in to races :p

That merc was such a pig and once i was in the zonda i was much more at home, C5 and f40 were more my cup of tea, yukky Merc bah

Race:
one, 4th :(
two, parked on lap 4
three, parked lap 1
four, won
five 3rd

and one race i can't even remember haha

Hey atleast you got out the damn Merc..

Off Topic: changed my mind. Like the DBS more than his baby brother, the Vantage.

I think I was in the McLaren (Steve doesn't think it's Famine), because I remember Venari telling me off at Midfield for my line through the fast chicane after the 1st/2nd corner. I think that was in the LMs, might've been in another series though. I think the McLaren was me, though.

I was in the C5-R, breathing down Steve at between 0.8s and 1.5s every lap... I enjoyed it many.

Off a-editing I go, tra la la la laa

EDIT: Once I get home from work, obviously...

EDIT EDIT: I have Jan's races in the LMs that I've still to do, so you can look forward to seeing some proper driving later...

You have to be so careful on the internet.

That sounds suspisiciously Russian, too

:D

Me rove you rong time, big man!

Nothing compared to what I can do with an Air Hockey puck...

You've already scarred Mark T for life with what you can do with an air hockey puck...

Jeez, David, you on New York looks like me circa UKGTP6 :sly:

OK, maybe not that bad. Please don't ban me.

Am I the only one who didn't mind the LMs? Granted, I never drove the Pagani, but still. Better than the LMPs (GT-ONE, Speed 8 etc).

I also liked them.
But i like cars which give you an advantage when you apply a bit of throttle control.

To be honest i just hated the Merc and once i got rid of it i was cool, it only took four races thou as i hated every second of driving it. Also find it exstremely annoying when you get wheel spin on curbs even thou your not on the tar, grrrr

You were never that bad, were you? I had no idea where, and when, to brake, as Mark found out when I smacked into him a couple of times. :scared:

I hate driving the LM cars, or indeed any high powered racer. I'm a road car man through and through.

Love the attempts at the first corner, Daan. :D
