Text is more permenant rather than Voice being done and over with my Simply Muting the other players. Text can be visable to all and can bully other players unfairly by hurling unessary abuse at a particular person. Causes more harm than good. Swearing and cursing in almost every Multiplayer game via Text chat has been banned for centures.

And what ? Nobody talks doodoo IRL? Take it like a mang, mang.

Tire Wear seems slower as RJE""" pointed out.

The 599 no longer sounds like a seashell in Replay.

Theres something different about the NSXR LM PROTO, sound seems to be more exhaust heavy and raspy whereas before it had that seriously metallic VTEC tinge from 7k up.

The engine and exhaust sounds leak into each other as opposed to being completely isolated from certain views/angles.

Im LOVING this new replay sound but i think TIRE NOISE overall is louder and it sounds like DRC is applied even in LTheatre (Cote D'Azur first turn replay) tires drown the car with compression imo.

Well I was playing the B-spec nurburgring challenge, and the song that was playing was the My Chemical romance theme, I noticed that they banned the word 🤬 from the song, they muted that part. I don't know if this has been changed before this update. Actually, thats the only change I have noticed :grumpy:

That was like that in the Opening, in Spec 1.0 (ie Launch)

It may just be my connection itself, but my loading times have decreased significantly, especially when leaving a room. Before, it could take as much as 5 minutes if really bad, but now it happens in under a minute. Same goes for entering the room. I'm impressed, PD, good work. 👍

"Dangerous" like in "people getting killed"? Or more like in "I never noticed that big red button. Wonder what happens when I press it?" ;)

No, the crippling scorn that is presented to anyone who unwittingly delivers a supposedly new insight which already is a commonly known fact.
That is very dangerous to the ego. ;)

Another sidenote, when doing random stuff (not racing online) like loading a track for free practice or picking items, etc., the game seems more stable when I'm online than offline since the update.
Some issues (like freezing when loading or exiting custom made tracks) which didn't occur to me since the last update when offline seem to be back, yet when I'm online it's seems to be running smoothly, odd. :odd:

I'm sorry if anyone has mentioned this already. I just don't have the time to read all of the responses in this thread...

I was so excited about the new noise the ZR1 RM Vette makes, I hopped in it and drove 10 laps around La Sarthe. Maybe I'm crazy but it seems like Tertre Rouge is different. I was relying on muscle memory and timing to drive through that corner and I didn't get it right the first 2 laps.

The entrance to the Porsche Curves seems different too...

Can anyone else confirm this or am I nuts?

For those that don't know what or where Tertre Rouge is, it's the first turn in the second timing sector. Last turn before the long straight (Mulsanne Straight). The Porsche Curves is near the end of the lap at the end of the 6th timing sector.

I discovered that in 2.06 that you can no longer keep repeating the seasonal events and keep getting money/xp over and over like you could in the past.

If I'm honest, I really doubt they changed that stuff, but it's funny you should mention it - I was racing someone in a shuffle race there... both in RX8s, 2nd lap he's ahead of me and he seems really good, yet he totally misjudges the Porsche Curves. He does this again on the 3rd lap. Interesting he misjudged them twice, I did the same but I got lucky and stayed on the tarmac.

Dude me too I use to take turns with no problem and now i'm spinning out like crazy. It makes me feel like I have to drive even smoother.

I think the ai opponents in dreamcar championship in a spec have also changed since update.

I haven't been through the 17 pages of this thread, but did someone noticed the enhancement of the anti-aliasing filters? The edges of the 3D as well as the textures look sharper and the shadows are less blocky and pixelated than usual.

2.06 ruined controller vibration.. I can't feel the road surface. Controller just vibrates on kerbs and braking. Windsheld wiper don't work well, too.. It doesn't seems to affect on Raindrops. Big dissapoint things are Lexus Concept Engine sound and vibration thing.

I had a similar feeling at Madrid and at the Ring. My Audi TT now has a tendency to oversteer at some slow curves.

However, in the Audi R8 5.2, at Monza, some curves could be taken a bit faster, it seemed.

I guess this is something related to the tires. Something must have changed, but I can only test more on Friday.

Yes but battery life is longer so its a trade off, i notice some rumble is really more pronounced than before, yet as you mentioned the slight rumbles of the road arent felt, which isnt losing that much, i dont really rely on Rumble to drive.

Do you really think PD did it to save energy?

Is anyone else noticing MASSIVE understeer in the MINIs? My MINI doesn't drive the same anymore.🤬

Also, loving the race menu BGM options. Didn't know that you could turn the music off while you were racing!
It sounds so much better.

I didnt say it was their motive or even a goal, i said it was consequent to having less rumble, i noticed since 2 days i havent had to charge as much. :indiff:

@300srt8

What do you use? DS3 Wheel? TCS ABS, ASM ETC???

I drove my rally tuned '11 Mini Cooper 250Hp no more understeer than a normal FF with that much power, and actually much less than a Alfa 147 GTA with same HP....

...actually nevermind.

@300srt8

Is it possible to turn off rumble in the settings?

Iv noticed that opponents cars are louder then mine. If there was a drag race I wouldn't hear my own car properly. I use astro a30 headset.

I was driving my '11 Mini Cooper S at Tsukuba last night at the new seasonals, and it did seem a bit less tossable, but I figured that was just me, since I hadn't raced in a while. Maybe it isn't me, because that little car is quite cooperative, but last night it seemed stiffer and more understeery. Nothing some suspension tuning couldn't fix. :indiff:
Also, cars in general seem harder to drive. I did the seasonal that I mentioned previously in a Spoon Integra, and I could not for the life of me take a corner smoothly, especially braking; I won the race, but it was a disaster. And this is a front wheel drive car with 215 horsepower and not a lot of weight. What the hell is going on? :guilty:

I thought my stock Zonda was a bit more squirrely than normal, especially at speed. Maybe there are aero changes; lift?

Something is up, 3 things i noticed, Tires have lessgrip overall (no need to downgrade frm stock).

Take longer to warm up, me and JDMKING took some Scuderias on SH at Ring, 6:00am, the tires just wouldn't get hot even up to Karrussel (sic) they were not even light blue, and we were pushing, could have been morning Dew , earlier run same cars at 8:00PM the tires heated normally .

They last longer, wear is slower or so it seems.
