A locked thread pointed out that you can no longer do a line break in the chat box. I checked last night and can confirm this as true.

You can no longer clear the chat box with line breaks or clear the chat box to make fake messages because of this.

[sarcasm]I'm so glad PD decided to dedicate their time to fix this "bug" instead of working on online race stability.[/sarcasm]

Has anyone noticed an update to the replay photomode views? I haven't taken many pictures on Nurburgring GP/D, but it seems that they put most of the camera view points behind barriers and fences like where a real photographer would actually stand.

If anyone tried the Eifel FF Seasonal and experienced heavy understeer during braking, both with ABS or not, try to adjust the BB to more rear bias than usual, I set up my Integra Type R with 4/4 BB without ABS, it helped a lot to turn the car, tried again with 6/5 then 5/4 BB, they all work well, but need more precision in trail braking.

Mind you that I ran the car with softest spring and damper, more negative camber at the rear and neutral toes front and rear - just for experiment, easy gold, pass the 1st car in mid lap 6. I suspect that GTA physics and tire model are carried over to the 2.06 update, I have been testing stock 370z and R32 GTR, they handle much alike in GTA.

Because of my non-aggressive driving style I haven't really noticed any changes on physics. Cars do understeer a bit harder when braking and Sport Hards feel much more grippier. Other than that it's the same thing.

Has anybody else that doesn't use ABS noticed the brakes seem less prone to locking up? I've been running several classic lightweight cars (Europa, Ginetta, Triumph, etc) and where I had my brakes at 3/2 or 3/1 before I'm having to put my G27's brake pedal to the floor to slow my cars down now!

I tried 5/5 brakes with my stock Europa, '69 Camaro Z28, and Ferrari F40. I drive them often (keep in mind I've got over 1500 cars so "often" is pretty relative here) and they seemed less prone to locking up on sports hard tires. The Ferrari was even close to being manageable at 5/5 and long the "you touch brake I kill you!" it was like I recall it being.

Am I just going crazy, or do us non-ABS guys now have a chance in shuffle races and with slower recommended cars? I say slow because I think anything in the recommended list faster than the F40 might be pushing it a bit still.

YES! The only ppl that seem to have issues w braking are ABS users, but without it i noticed that brakes are smoother, yet weight transfer is more pronounced as well as grip (imo less grippy) .

I thihk the ABS is messing w players , since if they slammed the brakes the weight transfer would cause lock but instead they get understeer, as opposed to the ABS dloing the work and letting you turn in anyway.

Try ABS=0 people, with proper brake balance, its more forgiving now.

I've noticed that a ton of RM cars actually got new sounds.
Like the Civic Type-R RM, I'm likin' that exhaust, doesn't sound like my 360's attachable fan. LOL

The Silvia S15 RM kinda sounds like a Skyline now, if they dropped a straight six in it. o:

Camaro's finally got a V8 sound, rather than a Inline four with a hammer and screwdriver job on it's exhaust.

Tuscan RM has a new start up sound, but still has it's exhaust sound.

Acura NSX RM has a new start up, and exhaust sound. You don't hear that vibration anymore, when it revs 5000 and over.

All and all, I'm liking this. Hoping they fix some of the exhaust sounds now, especially Titanium.

Your own engine noise disappears when you are close behind another car. First time it happened I wondered what was going on.

Also

Very little wind noise even at 120mph+ in most untuned cars.

I'm just wondering when they are going to fix 2 player. The driving is way different and it sucks. I cannot show off my driving skills when the car doesn't brake or turn!

Patch 2.06 is a whole new game. I have to relearn and retune for the Nordschleife , and readjust many things, but this is an extremely welcomed change, I was not happy with 2.05, it seemed cars scrubbed constantly, and inconsistently. 2.06 feels a tad more arcadish, but the feeling I now get from every Apex, is much better now, and my G25 is once again, a joy to use. FF cars on the current seasonal are totally driveable, I think they remodeled FF, or I was out of the loop on them, I haven't touched them in ages.

2.07 will change everything again. possibly for the worse, as every previous patch went from - to +, and cycled.

Yes! Good to hear that... even if I like to keep it real in this way: the cars that have ABS in real life, I use it. The older/cheaper ones that doesn't have abs, I remove it... for older cars I even tweak the brakes to become really weak... it's fun!

Sorry if this has already been answered, but does the auto save prevent duping?

Nope.

More arcadish? Really? I feel it more real... I think for the first time after Spec II I feel that the tires lateral grip was tweaked... that with the new body roll feeling... wow, it's really making us re-learn how to tweak and properly drive the cars fast.

You feel that more stuff is happening with the suspension and tires. Like I said in other thread, feels like the physics parameteres were "expanded"...

I figured something new. When you stops the car If you hold press handbrake car stops on the road.. Even if ramp.. handbrake light on. I didn't see it before.

I think this was in there before (handbrake staying locked), hard to be sure 100% as i don't park the car that much but still :)

I would , and would like to but sadly ABS in GT5 does more than prvent tire lock, see the ABS threads, Amar really 'breaks' it down very well.

So until then im afraid ABS OFF is the only real option.

Maybe Le Mans 2009 is noit as harsh now? 💡 ?

We're not that lucky, I've checked. LM2009 kinda p's me off when you get red numbers if you take slightly too much kerb on chicane apexes (even when you clearly have half your car still on the track) but it will let you run four wheels off some exits... Seems kind of random when you're just driving like you would any other track, would be nice to have some consistency.

I'm a little of the Stirling Moss mind when it comes to chicanes anyway (they suck if they mess up the flow or are really arbitrary and harsh). I think they are there to do a job (slow you down) but don't need to nitpick and should still be fun to drive through. The Dunlop chicane is awkward and gets my profanities flying often.

I really hope someday the GT series will get real samples of some of these engines. I really makes me mad that they sound nothing like in real life.

Oh... never looked at this thread... I'll do a little search!

Anyone know where the ABS thread is? I've never seen it and when I search various for "ABS" nothing comes up.

I'd be interested in reading it. I play with a controller though which makes playing without ABS difficult since the brakes are basically on/off, but still interesting to see the dynamics of the programming.

Search for the thread title ABS=1 vs ABS=0, something like this...

BTW, with the controller, try to get used to accelerate and brake with the right analog stick or the triggers... I play using the analog stick for accel/brake since GT2 so I'm pretty used. With it you can get average control... nothing like pedals, but it does work when you get the sensibility of them!

^^^ Nobody? Can anyone confirm?
