10 years ago the "common" practice was to shove Viper engines into TJ Wranglers, usually pulled out of SRT Rams. That was a bit sketchy, but at least that engine was near enough to the same weight and size as the old AMC 6. This is a heavier, physically much larger engine than the one designed to go in there, shoehorned in by someone who really shouldn't even get that sweet Jalopnik press every time he announces his latest marks.

I'm really curious to see how many people who buy these things get ripped off when these are all completed. Given Hennessey's long standing reputation for scamming people, it is a safe assumption that at least one of the builds will be a disaster with a potential lawsuit pending.
 
What a load of useless crap that thing is. Still more interesting than the latest McLaren though.

Minor correction. It is the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. The Cherokee is a different model altogether.
