As Gr.B is a rally group, I would expect Gr.A to be a rally group too, but with more powerful cars :

Suzuki Escudo
Loeb's Peugeot 208 T16
An old one, like the 405 T16
An electric one maybe too

Gazoo Supra as announced month ago, Gr.X and Gr.3 versions.

Guess about a '90 japanese car, S2000/NSX/Silvia
About a '00 japanese too, S2000/370Z

I would love to see the Lexus LFA, or the M3 CSL.

Probably a Ferrari/Lambo/Porsche.

And tracks :

Pikes Peak, if Gr.A is rally
Deep Forest is probably on the way
What about Spa ?
Fuji, to complete the Gr.2 cat'
Hockenheim, Silverstone if Gr.A is old DTM (would be fun too)
I don't think about a Dragon Trail other layouts.

I really hope for 2 tracks. This is more important than new cars.

Hi my wish hope next update

Not to be the bearer of bad news, but there's a reason Magnus Walker's collection of the first three years of the 930 Turbo go from 75-77. The 930 generation of 911 was produced from 1975 through 1989. If we're talking about realistic predictions, then the 1974 Porsche 930 Turbo in the OP needs to be changed to 1975. ;)

Assuming PD is actually dropping 11 cars this month that would mean they released 13 ( Audi vgts ) Two tracks could either mean Three things
- Two new variants to existing tracks
- one new track with a variant
- Two completely New tracks

Track wise we know for a fact Deep forest is in the works and Le sarth has been teased :3

It's a mostly futile endevour to try to guess, in my honest opinion.

I'm just looking for road cars, production models from 2000 onwards (recent ones are even more welcome) and with a price tag under 2000000 Cr.

So, as before, of the 52 DLC cars so far:
Existing car, existing brand, GT6 Standard - 2
Existing car, existing brand, GT6 Premium - 32
New car model, existing brand - 14
Entirely new car & brand - 4

That means that, on average, a pack of 12 should contain:
Existing car, existing brand, GT6 Standard - 0.46
Existing car, existing brand, GT6 Premium - 7.38
New car model, existing brand - 3.23
Entirely new car & brand - 0.92

So we can essentially expect seven upgraded Premiums, three new cars from existing brands, one entirely new car and another vehicle from any of the four categories (upgraded Standard most likely).

Other patterns:
Racing cars - 15 (3.5 per 12)
N cars - 37 (8.5 per 12)

Japan - 18 (4.2 per 12)
Italy - 9 (2.1 per 12)
USA - 8 (1.8 per 12)
Germany - 6 (1.4 per 12)

So. We've got the GR Supra, which accounts for a racing car, a Japanese car and a new car model from existing brand.

That leaves an expected:
GT6 Standard - 0.46
GT6 Premium - 7.38
New model/existing brand - 2.23
New brand - 0.92

Racing car - 2.5
N car - 8.5

Japan - 3.2
Italy - 2.1
USA - 1.8
Germany - 1.4

Revisiting my last list:

Any two, or three, from these four:
GT6P - Acura/Honda NSX '91 (N300)
GT6P - Subaru Impreza WRX Spec C '05 (N300)
GT6P - Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR TME '00 (N300)
GT6P - Nissan Fairlady Z (Z34)/370Z '08 (N300)

One or both of these:
GT6P - Chevrolet Camaro Z28 '69 (N300)
GT6P - Plymouth AAR Cuda Six Barrel '70 (N300)*

A couple from these:
GT6P - Pagani Huayra '13 (N700)*
GT6P - Lamborghini Miura P400 '67 (N400)
GT6P - Cizeta V16T '94 (N600)*
GT6P - Alfa Romeo TZ3 Stradale '10 (N600)

Maybe one of these:
GT6P - MINI Cooper S '11 (N200)
GT6P - Honda Civic (EK) Type R '97 (N200)

Vague possibility of these:
GT6P - Jaguar XJR-9 LM '88 (Gr.X)
GT6P - Mazda 787B '91 (Gr.X)

So that's 7-9 Premium cars (let's say 8); 7 N cars, 1 race car; 3-4 Japanese cars, 2 Italian cars, 1 US car. That leaves us with an expected:
GT6 Standard - 0.46
New model/existing brand - 2.23
New brand - 0.92

Racing car - 1.5
N car - 1.5

USA - 0.8
Germany - 1.4

Our most popular Standard car in the Suggestions forum is the E46 M3 CSL. A new model from an existing brand might be something like the McLaren P1.

That leaves one car that's probably a race car, probably from the USA and probably either a GT6 Standard or an entirely new brand. Let's say... ooooh... the Panoz Esperante GTR-1.

Your post is way too mathematical and scientific to have been written by a human me thinks . But I can't fault your logic Ambassador Spock. 👍

I agree this monthly guessing can feel kind of futile. But then again so does resistance :sly:.

Rather than try to guess, when all we actually know is that the Supra is due this month, I'm going to stick with the above. Any mix of cars (if it's free) will be fine with me as long as they don't cost 20m credits to buy.

The Sovereign on my avatar, and its friends, disagree ;)

The Supra is the only one we're sure about, really. I don't know what to expect.

PS - I didn't write less than 20 million credits, I wrote less than 2 million. I find cars more expensive than that not worth the time and money. Yeah, I'm cheap.

The thing with PD now is that it could be literally anything in these updates, hence why out of left field choices like the DeTomaso Pantera and the surprise of the E30 M3 were possible in the first place.

I like speculating car releases, it’s like a mini guessing game the GTP community can play while we’re waiting for the next update to drop. For my picks: I’m going with an 11-car pack for April 28th.

I’ll start with 8 safe bets:

Ford GT40 MKIV (Gr.X)
Aston Martin V12 Vantage (N500)
Ferrari 288 GTO (N400)
Dodge Viper SRT-10 ACR (N600)
Ferrari 430 Scuderia (N500)
Lexus IS-F CCSR (Gr.X)
AEM S2000 (Gr.X)
Volkswagen 1200 (N100)

Here’s three wildcards:

Ford GT ‘17
Ferrari 488 GT3
Polyphony Digital Formula Gran Turismo

Tracks:

Dragon Trail variations
Either Deep Forest or Le Mans

I'm not remotely confident about any of the upcoming racing cars, so I'll just leave 3 spots dedicated to any given Gr.1, Gr.X, etc.

1. any possible racing car
2. any possible racing car
3. any possible racing car
4. Acura NSX '91
5. Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 '09
6. Ferrari F430 '06
7. Ford GT '17
8. Lexus ISF '07
9. Mitsubishi Lancer Evo T.M.E. '00
10. Subaru Impreza WRX STI '06
11. Toyota Supra Gazoo Racing
12. Volkswagen Golf '05

Tracks:

Silverstone and Dragon Tail variations

Throwing something out there:
TRACKS!(?)
  • Deep Forest (classic layout, new layout updated to account for modern safety regulations)
  • Spa (so we can finally cross it off the 4 most over-requested tracks in GTSport)

CARS!(?)
  • Fiat 500R (just to annoy people)
  • Ferrari 488
  • Saleen S7 (non-TT)
  • Chevrolet Corvette (C2, 1967 L88)
  • Nissan 350Z
  • Toyota GR Supra
  • Dodge Challenger Demon
  • Acura NSX '91 (because that glitch from a while back)
  • Hoonicorn Mustang (because #YOLO)
  • Honda S2000 AP1
  • Suzuki GSX-R/4 Concept
  • Gran Turismo F3000 (or something equivalent to 2004-ish F1 standards, basically an updated Formula GT from GT4-6)

SCAPES!(?)
  • Silverstone (made my opinions on it abundantly clear, but why not. Y'all can work out the specific locations.)

Is there a reason everyone thinks there will be dragon trail layouts? I can’t see where they will be combined

It’s just about the only GT Sport original track that hasn’t gotten any additions yet, and it’s the only track left that could reasonably support some.

There's twelve cars coming to the update, and one of them is that Supra (hoping that it's :censored:ing Gr. 3, or else we will all :censored:ing riot if it's in Gr. X, but there's hope since it's built to GTE specs), so here's what I predict are coming:

Considering we have the full set of 2016-spec LMP1 cars, it would make sense to add 2016-spec LMGTE-Pro cars, to accompany the new Supra, and given the fact that the 2017 Porsche 911 RSR is in the Gr. 3 class, and that it is an LMGTE-Pro car in reality, it would really make sense. And most of the updates we had (with the exception of last month) didn't have many race cars.

1. Aston Martin #95 Aston Martin Racing V8 Vantage GTE '16 (Gr. 3)
2. Ferrari 488 GTB '15 (N700)
3. Ferrari #71 AF Corse 488 GTE '16 (Gr. 3)
4. Ford GT '17 (N700)
5. Ford #66 Ford Chip Ganassi Team UK GT Le Mans '16 (Gr. 3)
6. Honda S2000 '06 (N200)
7. McLaren P1 '13 (N900)
8. Nissan Silvia S15 spec-R Aero '02 (N300)
9. Porsche 918 Spyder '14 (N900)
10. Porsche #77 Dempsey-Proton Racing 911 RSR (991) '16 (Gr. 3)
11. Toyota AE86 Sprinter Trueno GT-Apex '85 (N100)
12. Toyota GR Supra Racing Concept '18 (Gr. 3)

total number of cars after the update: 231 cars

Well, I'm not even going to bother guessing cars, but I will guess a track/s:

Most likely (we'll probably only get one of these, MAYBE two if we're lucky):
Deep Forest (maybe a newer layout too?)
Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps (requested by EVERYONE, so PD will have to budge at some point and give us Spa.)
Fuji Speedway (please, PLEASE be old layout, not new.)

Less likely:
Silverstone (not high on my personal list, and there's no evidence pointing towards it being super high on PD's priority list either)
Trial Mountain (a decent chance, but currently unlikely unless it gets a big facelift due to the whole 'more realistic circuits' idea.)
Red Bull Ring (probably the most likely out of this bunch)

Ones I've seen in this thread that have a VERY low chance:
Monaco/Côte d'Azur (really doubt with the current penalty climate they'd add a tight street circuit... but you never know.)

Part of me really hopes for Seattle, but like OP said, this isn't a wishlist and Seattle has a very slim chance, so I've left that out.

For this month, we only can expect at the moment one car and that is the new Supra GR Concept (Gr. 3 maybe?).

If they give us again a major update with new content, then it should be FIA related and not be full packed with street cars or any concepts like the Red Bull X2014.

My predictions for the April 2018 update:

1. Ford GT (Gr. 3)
2. Aston Martin Vantage (2018 model, Gr. 3)
3. BMW M8 GTE (Gr. 3)
4. Bentley Continental GT3 (Gr. 3)
5. Toyota Supra GR Concept (Gr. 3)
6. Mercedes-AMG GT GT4 (Gr. 4)

I think we will also see a new track, some nice FIA track from WEC Season.

At this moment, no one knows, how pd plans to release new content. I think they will do it monthly again until the end of october '18, then year 2 will kick off and maybe they want again money from us? I hope not...

Not to be the bearer of bad news, but there's a reason Magnus Walker's collection of the first three years of the 930 Turbo go from 75-77. The 930 generation of 911 was produced from 1975 through 1989. If we're talking about realistic predictions, then the 1974 Porsche 930 Turbo in the OP needs to be changed to 1975. ;)

👍 As far as production models go, that is indeed correct. But i think it will be the 930 Turbo as seen at the 1974 Paris Auto Show ;)

I wouldn't consider it a surprise if we got one or two of the following;

A GC Impreza STI
The NSX that has been seen in the race results.
Evo Vi Tommi
FTO
S2000 AP2 (more likely than the AP1 with the highest redline, sadly)
GTO MR
Eunos Roadster NA.

Interestingly - or not - Porsche model years run from August to July, so the 1975MY was 1/8/1974 - 31/7/1975.

That means that when the first 930s were produced in September 1974, ahead of the debut in Paris in October 1974, they were 1975MY cars. They first went on sale in spring 1975 but, just to complicate things further, by then the US model year was 1976. Although the USA didn't get the car (as 930 Turbo Carrera) until April 1976, by which point it was 1977MY, although people call them 1976.

So they were first built and shown in 1974, as Porsche 1975MY cars, then first sold in 1975 as 1975MY cars unless you were in the USA in which case they were 1976MY cars, except you couldn't buy them until 1976 when they were 1977MY cars but people call them 1976.

Thus my hatred of "model years".
