Okay, i'm sure you'll all agree that the car list from last months (1.15) update threw us a a bit of a curve ball in regards to what cars we were expecting following the previous two updates. I feel this throws the doors open a bit wider when it comes to new vehicle expectations next time round.

So once more, i'd like you to predict what 12 cars we will receive in the next big update. I also want you to add two circuits, or new layouts of existing circuits, to your list as we usually get a few new layouts to race on too.

- As before, this is not a wish list, this is a thread for realistic predictions.

I'm calling this the big 1.18 update, but it may well be that we get smaller updates before hand with the new Toyota Supra and/or bug fixes etc. I'll change the title if that happens.

My guesses:

Four from before -
• Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 '69
• Ferrari 250 GTO '62
• Honda/Acura NSX '91
• Mazda MX-5 NA

• Ford GT40 MkIV '67
• Audi RS5 DTM '16 (Gr.2)
• Mercedes-AMG C63 DTM '16 (Gr.2)
• BMW M4 DTM '16 (Gr.2)
• Mercedes-Benz 190E EvoII
• Aston Martin DB5
• Lexus LFA ‘10
• Porsche 930 Turbo '74

The circuits:
• Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit
• Silverstone National Circuit

Yep, definatley won't be any DTM based upon licensing issues, much like wishing for Porsche to arrive before GT Sport.

Ford Sierra Cosworth Gr.A (No one expected an M3 but we got it, this is very possible)
Ford Sierra Cosworth road spec.
1 more different livery version of each current Gr.2 car
Supra GR (as already announced)
Honda NSX '91
Ferrari 488 Gr.3
Mercedes AMG GT Gr.4

Cars:

Toyota Gazoo Racing Supra '18 (This is 100% guaranteed)
Honda S2000 '06
Mazda MX-5 Miata '91

Lamborghini Miura P400 '67

Five of these I've read up from PS Blog, GTP articles and actually being teased by Polyphony themselves, the other seven I'll have to make some wild guesses... anyway, here goes.

Cars
Acura NSX '91
Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (C6) '09
Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500
Gran Turismo - Datsun 240Z "FuguZ" -
GT Award winner
Jaguar XJ220 '92
Lancia 037 Stradale
Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5 Evolution II '91
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX '05
Nissan NOS Energy Drink 370Z -
Chris Forsberg's FD car
Subaru Impreza WRX STi '05
Toyota GR Supra Racing Concept -
Duh.
Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT-Apex (AE86) '83

Tracks
Le Mans Circuit de la Sarthe (Chicane)
Le Mans Circuit de la Sarthe (No Chicane)

R3E has DTM licence so it’s a no, if they keep doing tracks like they did these months in April probably we will get another useless layout for Alsace/DTrail, for cars I would expect another 3/4 classic japanese road cars in every update we will ever get. What I really don’t get is why they are still waiting to put in game real life GTE/GT3 cars like the Ferrari 488, Bentley Continental, Ford GT and so on, they will be nice addiction for Gr.3 since they push so much for that class.

So once more, i'd like you to predict what 12 cars we will receive in the next big update. I also want you to add two circuits, or new layouts of existing circuits, to your list as we usually get a few new layouts to race on too.

- As before, this is not a wish list, this is a thread for realistic predictions.
So, as before, of the 52 DLC cars so far:
Existing car, existing brand, GT6 Standard - 2
Existing car, existing brand, GT6 Premium - 32
New car model, existing brand - 14
Entirely new car & brand - 4

That means that, on average, a pack of 12 should contain:
Existing car, existing brand, GT6 Standard - 0.46
Existing car, existing brand, GT6 Premium - 7.38
New car model, existing brand - 3.23
Entirely new car & brand - 0.92

So we can essentially expect seven upgraded Premiums, three new cars from existing brands, one entirely new car and another vehicle from any of the four categories (upgraded Standard most likely).

Other patterns:

Racing cars - 15 (3.5 per 12)
N cars - 37 (8.5 per 12)

Japan - 18 (4.2 per 12)
Italy - 9 (2.1 per 12)
USA - 8 (1.8 per 12)
Germany - 6 (1.4 per 12)

So. We've got the GR Supra, which accounts for a racing car, a Japanese car and a new car model from existing brand.

That leaves an expected:

GT6 Standard - 0.46
GT6 Premium - 7.38
New model/existing brand - 2.23
New brand - 0.92

Racing car - 2.5
N car - 8.5

Japan - 3.2
Italy - 2.1
USA - 1.8
Germany - 1.4

Revisiting my last list:

Any two, or three, from these four:
GT6P - Acura/Honda NSX '91 (N300)
GT6P - Subaru Impreza WRX Spec C '05 (N300)
GT6P - Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR TME '00 (N300)
GT6P - Nissan Fairlady Z (Z34)/370Z '08 (N300)

One or both of these:
GT6P - Chevrolet Camaro Z28 '69 (N300)
GT6P - Plymouth AAR Cuda Six Barrel '70 (N300)*

A couple from these:
GT6P - Pagani Huayra '13 (N700)*
GT6P - Lamborghini Miura P400 '67 (N400)
GT6P - Cizeta V16T '94 (N600)*
GT6P - Alfa Romeo TZ3 Stradale '10 (N600)

Maybe one of these:
GT6P - MINI Cooper S '11 (N200)
GT6P - Honda Civic (EK) Type R '97 (N200)

Vague possibility of these:
GT6P - Jaguar XJR-9 LM '88 (Gr.X)
GT6P - Mazda 787B '91 (Gr.X)

So that's 7-9 Premium cars (let's say 8); 7 N cars, 1 race car; 3-4 Japanese cars, 2 Italian cars, 1 US car. That leaves us with an expected:

GT6 Standard - 0.46
New model/existing brand - 2.23
New brand - 0.92

Racing car - 1.5
N car - 1.5

USA - 0.8
Germany - 1.4

Our most popular Standard car in the Suggestions forum is the E46 M3 CSL. A new model from an existing brand might be something like the McLaren P1.

That leaves one car that's probably a race car, probably from the USA and probably either a GT6 Standard or an entirely new brand. Let's say... ooooh... the Panoz Esperante GTR-1.

When the updates get announced i'll multiply your correct guesses by a factor of .7 to achieve your actual result. ;)

Cars:
Acura NSX '91 - N300
BMW M3 (E46) '04 - N300
BMW M5 (E60) '08 - N500
Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary '88 - N400
Nissan 180SX Type X (S13) '96 - N200
Nissan Silvia K's Dia Selection (S13) '90 - N200
Nissan Silvia Spec-R Aero (S15) '02 - N300

Tracks:
Daytona International Speedway, USA
Spa Francorchamps, Belgium

That's seven to nine. So there. If you want me to pare it down to the eight most likely, like some kind of list moderator or something:

Toyota GR Supra Racing Concept 2018

Acura/Honda NSX 1991
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR TME 2000
Nissan Fairlady Z/370Z (Z34) 2008

Chevrolet Camaro Z28 1969
Lamborghini Miura P400 1967
Honda Civic (EK) Type R 1997

BMW M3 (E46) CSL 2003
McLaren P1 2013

Panoz Esperante GTR-1 1997
Mazda 787B 1991

And then... Mazda MX-5 (NA) 1989, because reasons.

And for tracks, let's say Silverstone (National, International, Stowe, GP), plus Tsukuba appearing in Circuit Experience.

@Famine lovely use of maths to predict the next line-up 👍 On that note, I might as well do a little bit of open-mind deciphering myself before I get predicting...
  • It's easy enough to predict by now that we'll get a few stables in GT history coming in with a few extra iconic additions
  • Considering we only have three Gr.2 cars at the moment, and there are pretty much only going to be Super GT500's in that category (unless we see DTM manufacturers start entering the Super GT), I'd say we might get some more older Super GT500's, but they've changed a lot since the last GT. So for this one, maybe no more Gr.2s until the season ends? (unless PD makes some custom Gr.2s (please))
  • Something's telling me the Lancia 037 hasn't been completed yet...
  • GR.A... this is a dodgy one. If real-life Group A cars were going into GT Sport, they probably wouldn't fit the number categories at all since they're rating based on performance and aerodynamics amongst other things. Likely be based on cars we already have I think.
  • People are talking about Sung Kang's 240Z coming to GT Sport thanks to the 2015 GT awards, but the 2014 winner, the GoPro "Rampage" Camaro, hasn't been put in yet, and we still have more to come (loving the Civic). It seems like PD are making up for lost time with putting these cars into the game as we've had the Mach Forty and the Chevy Nova put in recently. We could see one now, but considering Update 1.15 was only a month ago, is it too soon after the Mach Forty?
  • Two Red Bull X cars came in the last update, but one particular X was missing, the Fan Car...
  • Obviously, we're gonna get the GR Supra Racing Concept; and since we've had the Audi VGT's this month too, we'll probably only get 10 cars in this update, but for the thread I'll use the 12.
So..
  • Toyota GR Supra Racing Concept '18 (Gr.X) (the bodykit is too plain for Gr.3 yet doesn't seem stock enough for Gr.4)
  • Red Bull X2014 Fan Car (Gr.X)
  • Toyota Celica GT-FOUR (ST205) (N300)
  • Pagani Zonda C12S 7.3 (N600)
  • Pagani Huayra '13 (N700)
  • Dodge Charger R/T '69 (N400)
  • TVR Tuscan Speed Six '00 (N300)
  • TVR Griffith '18 (N500)
  • Nissan 370Z '08 (N300)
  • Honda NSX Type-R '02 (N300)
  • Subaru Impreza WRX STi Version VI '99 (N300)
  • Nissan NOS Energy Drink 370Z (Gr.X)
EDIT Whoops, forgot the tracks
  • Fuji Speedway
  • Northern Isle Speedway variants

Up until yesterday I wouldn't have guessed but with the accidental leak of Gr.A I would guess;

BMW M3 E30 Gr.A
Nissan GTR R32 Gr.A
Mercedes 190 Evo Gr.A
Ford Sierra Cosworth Gr.A (No one expected an M3 but we got it, this is very possible)
Ford Sierra Cosworth road spec.
1 more different livery version of each current Gr.2 car
Supra GR (as already announced)
Honda NSX '91
Ferrari 488 Gr.3
Mercedes AMG GT Gr.4
I wouldn’t say the Gr.A class is specifically for Group A touring/rally cars, but certainly any real competition cars in the 300-550bhp range. BoP can help to balance the cars online. That covers classic Group A DTM/BTCC etc, 2WD Group B rally, Group A rally, WTCC, WTR and so on.

I want to see some cars to bulk up the Gr2 class, but as said above, if DTM has exclusive rights elsewhere who’s to say we won’t get some VGTs in there?

One of each Audi/BMW/Merc VGT Gr2
Acura NSX 91
Ferrari 250 GTO
Chevrolet Camaro 69
Lamborghini Miura

Deep Forest Raceway

Some quick fag-packet maths tells me that DTM in Gr.2 could be up to ~3% slower around a track than the SGT's... as a time around (for instance) Hockenheim, that could translate to a lap time around 2.8 secs a lap slower for the DTM cars. That' combined with potential licensing issues, along with literally no evidence to indicate it might happens , leads me to conclude that DTM cars in Gr.2 won't happen and Current DTM cars being in GTS highly unlikely.

Gr.2 is to allow GTS to replicate (do a vague impression of) Super GT, something that's been popular in the game before, and it's achieved this. They don't need to pad out Gr.2 with more cars because they've achieved this goal and they've never shown any serious interest in doing DTM. An M3 GTR GT2 is not a DTM car!

It is unlikely, for various reasons, but we have had 7 seperate DTM's in previous GT games. (8 if you include the Lexus IS F Racing Concept)

Toyota GR Supra Racing Concept (Gr.X)
Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT Apex (AE86) '85 (N100)
Porsche Cayman GT4 (987) '16 (N400)
Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Verde '17 (N500)
Nissan Silvia K's Dias Selection (S13) '89 (N200)
Ferrari GTO '84 (N400)
Lamborghini Murcielago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce '09 (N700)
Ferrari Dino 246 GT '71 (N200)
Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren '09 (N600)
Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione '09 (N400)
Lexus LFA '10/Lexus LFA Nurburging Package '12 (N600)
Plymouth Cuda AAR 340 Six Barrel '70 (N300)

For tracks:

Deep Forest Raceway:

Deep Forest Raceway
Deep Forest Raceway II

I'm just gonna copy my list from previous thread with cars from 1.15 removed.

Safe guesses:
Toyota Supra Racing Concept
Toyota Sprinter Trueno (AE86)
Toyota Celica (any)
Ferrari and/or Lambo from GT6
Legendary japanese car(s), maybe one of these: Evo/STI/NSX/350Z/370Z/Civic/S2000/MX-5/RX-8/Silvia - that's a really safe guess, I think :lol:
Muscle car(s)
SEMA/Pebble Beach winner

And some mad guesses:
Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione
Lexus LFA
Maybe it's time for a new Porsche?
Tesla Roadster
Ruf CTR '17

Also, since PD added E30, some of these cars from suggestion forum can be added too:
McLaren P1
Ford Sierra Cosworth
Ferrari F50
Ferrari Testarossa

And I don't believe in these two new tracks, except it's just a new layout(s).

I think my realistic and super conservative breakdown would be something like 8 GT6 cars, 1 SEMA Gran Turismo award winner, and 2 cars we have been told are coming:

Audi RS6 Avant (N500)
Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR (N600)
Lotus Evora (N300)
Honda Civic Type R (EK) (N200)
Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI GSR T.M. Edition (N300)
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX GSR (N300)
Nissan SILVIA spec-R AERO (S15) (N200)
Shelby GT350 (N300)

GoPro Rampage 1970 Camaro (Gr. X)

Toyota GR Supra Racing Concept (Gr. 4)
Chris Frosberg's 370Z (Gr. X)

Plus 1 new track and 2 variations of an existing track:

Ascari Race Resort

Northern Isle Speedway - Infield (something with a lot of hairpins more suited for rally cars than road cars)
Northern Isle Speedway - Beginner's Course (simply the normal oval with a chicane on the back straight)

  • People are taking about Sung Kang's 240Z coming to GT Sport thanks to the 2015 GT awards, but the 2014 winner, the GoPro "Rampage" Camaro, hasn't been put in yet, and we still have more to come (loving the Civic). We could see one now, but considering Update 1.15 was only a month ago, is it too soon after the Mach Forty?
Fugu Z was scanned 5 months ago, the Rampage almost three years ago.

I'd say the Chevy is more likely to appear, but that's just my guess/prediction.

Toyota GR Supra Racing Concept (expected)
Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT-Apex (AE86)
Honda NSX '90
Red Bull X2014 Fan Car
Ferrari Dino 246
Lexus LFA Nurburgring Package
Fugu Z
Mercedes-AMG C63 DTM '16 (Presentation Version)*
Porsche 911 GT3 (996)
Porsche Cayman GT4 (987)
LCC Rocket '07

*Asphalt Xtreme (a rally game, of all things) have a blank livery version of the car, before you bring up licensing. (Didn't The Crew 2 had that presentation livery C63 DTM as well?)

Here are my predictions!

Cars
Acura NSX '91 (N300);
BMW M3 [E46] '04 (N400);
Ford Focus ST '06 (N200);
Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth '87 (N200);
Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth Race Car '87 (Gr. A);
Gran Turismo GoPro "Rampage" 1970 Chevrolet Camaro (N800);
Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5 16 Evolution Race Car '92 (Gr. A);
MINI Cooper S '11 (N200);
Nissan Silvia K's Aero [S14] '96 (N200);
Nissan Skyline GT-R R32 Group A Race Car '93 (Gr. A);
Porsche 911 GT3 [996] '00 (N400);
Peugeot 106 Rallye 1.6 '98 (N100);
Toyota GR Supra Racing Concept (Gr. 3);
Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT-APEX [AE86] '85 (N100).

Tracks:
Deep Forest Raceway;
Deep Forest Raceway II;
Fuji Speedway.

After the Gr.A leak on yesterday Race B I would say:

1.- Toyota Supra GR Concept Gr.2 (800,000)
2.- BMW M3 E30 Evolution Gr.A (500,000)
3.- Ford Escort RS Costworth Gr.A (500,000)
4 .- Porsche Carrera GT N600 (700,000)
5.- Honda NSX '91 N300 (120,000)
6.- Lancia Delta Integrale Gr.A (500,000)
7 .- GoPro Rampage Camaro N800 (300,000)
8.- Porsche 918 N1000 (1,200,000)
9.- Subaru Impreza WRX STI Gr.A (500,000)
10.- Mercedes Benz 190 E Evolution Gr.A (500,000)
11.- Alfa Romeo 155 Gr.A (500,000)
12.- Cadillac ATS-V GT3 Gr.3 (450,000)

Track(s)
1.- Deep Forest
2.- Dragon Trail variations

Obviusly there is still a high chance that the update is just the Supra :P, so I keep my expectations low

Edit: Adding Expected Cost :P
