Unofficial 1.18 update Car List Prediction - THIS IS NOT A WISH LIST

As long as they don't release it with the Citroen 2CV and another grasscutter engine on another car I'm fine. Deep Forest is a great candidate.

It's hard for me to say, I wasn't expecting a lot of what came in 1.15 - I think the only thing I got right in my predictions for that update was the E30 and R33. There's also an interesting dynamic with all these "leaks" of Gr. A lately. It's also possible that the new Supra concept could come in a separate update on it's own to keep from getting it's spotlight drowned out amongst a car pack. Regardless it's 100% coming this month so I'm not going to bother listing it.

Something that the last few updates has shown is that PD isn't shying away from adding stuff from the GTP suggestions forum (Supra and E30 were top performers there), nor curve balls (Pantera, F150 Raptor) and/or completely new metal to the series (DB11, A110 Premiere). SEMA cars have also started cropping up more frequently, and so far every content update has re-introduced some popular premium models from GT6. So I'm kind of gauging my prediction on these observations.

Ignoring hints of Gr. A, here's what I predict to be likely (not necessarily all, but a selection of the following):

General additions/returning models:

Acura/Honda NSX '91 - it was displayed in text form on a bugged race results screen.
Bentley Continental - could be any of many model years. In general it's a car that's made the rounds for a while and has a following but just hasn't made it into a GT game yet; for whatever reason I feel like it has a fair chance of making it, possibly with racing versions as well.
Bugatti Chiron - surprised we don't have this yet, especially since the VGT was pretty much used as a preview of the car.
Chevrolet Camaro - any of a few models available in GT5/6, my bets are on the '69.
Chevrolet Corvette - not sure which generation I lean towards most, but I feel there's room for more Corvette. The C5 in particular fills a nice equal gap between the C3 and C7.
Ferrari Dino - very popular in GT6, and I believe there were leaked scapes shots of this car very early in GTS's announcement stage.
Ford Mk. IV '67 - to finish off the '67 Le Mans trio.
Ford GT '17 - pretty self explanatory.
Honda Civic - don't recall the exact models that were available in premium form in GT5/6, but my bets are on the late 90's hatchback model.
Honda S2000 - massively popular model, needs little introduction.
Lamborghini Murcielago - arguably one of if not the most popular cars from the brand, and there's a few different premium models PD can choose from.
Lancia Stratos - very famous and popular car, personally I think it's equally likely to show up in road or race form. There's also the Delta, but I feel like the Stratos is just a bit more likely.
McLaren 720S or P1 - personally I don't think we'd get both in one update, but both are highly sought after, and McLaren doesn't have a massively diverse representation in the game yet - and given they’ve made a VGT recently, it would seem their relationship is fairly good.
Mazda MX-5 - any of several older generation models, but my bets are on the 1st gen.
Mini - either the original micro car, or a more modern model. The additions of museum info leads me to believe it's reintroduction is in order, but while I lean towards the original Mini, I'm on the fence as to what would be most likely to show it's face in an update.
Mitsubishi Lancer - any of many older generation Evo models.
Nissan Z - Actually genuinely surprised that not only did we not have one at launch, but still don't have one after four content updates. Any of many models (both past or present) could be possible, I lean more towards a 350 or 370, but a 300 could also fit nicely with the other 90's and early 00's Japanese additions.
Nissan Silvia - a very popular non-Skyline/GT-R from the brand, seems to have had a lot of people clamoring for it lately.
Porsche - literally anything from their history from the original 356 to the 918. I was surprised that PD didn't go absolutely ham once they got access to the brand, or at least started creating a backlog of models before then license became available; but alas, we only have ~4 different models available in GTS.
RUF Yellowbird - extremely popular car despite it's standard model status in GT5/6. It did get a bit of a visual upgrade in GT6 and PD still seems to have a healthy relationship with the brand post-Porsche access, so I would consider it likely.
(SEMA) Bruce Leven's '51 Ford - "leaked" on Instagram in early November that the car was getting scanned for GT. The fabled six-month car modeling period lands very close to a late April update, but that may be early and the car may not come until May or later.
(SEMA) Sung Kang's 240Z - I recall this car getting scanned even earlier than Bruce's Ford, but I may be wrong. I would actually place this ahead of the Ford in terms of likelihood.
Subaru WRX STI - any of many older generation models.
Tesla - honestly could be any model at this point, I just feel like the brand has been out in the public eye enough recently to warrant an inclusion.
Volkswagen Beetle - any of a few early generation models, it's a cult classic.
Volkswagen Golf Mk. I - often regarded as one of the best hot hatches of all time, I feel it checks all of the boxes in terms of historical significance, fame, era, and performance for an inclusion in GT.

From GTP's suggestion forum:

Ferrari Testarosa or F355 - both fairly high on the list, but I think only one of these will come in a single update.
Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 or Escort RS Cosworth - similar to the Ferraris, but basically 3rd/4th on the list, depending on how you classify the P1 (personally I feel like it transcends the GTP suggestions forum due to it's current widespread popularity and relevance)
Bugatti EB110 - while not super high on the suggestions forum, PD has a good relationship with the brand and I feel it could make it's way to the game before some of the more highly requested cars.

Now, regarding Gr. A;

As far as I can determine, Gr. A does in fact exist and PD plans to implement it in GTS at some point in the future - it's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when. Our first look was when someone searched through metadata on the GT website and revealed hidden Gr. A and (yet to be released) Gr. 2 categories. At that point people were theorizing that Gr.2 and A may have been leftover code from earlier abandoned development plans, but alas, Gr. 2 came to fruition. Gr. A could've still been abandoned, but just days ago a daily race was mistakenly released with that category, displaying it in the game - meaning the grouping probably isn't just an old cache or legacy file, it's an active parameter in PD's database and can be activated in the system.

Group A in the real world has existed both as a rally and a touring car category, separately, and we don't know which it will be in GTS. Personally due to the naming convention I lean more toward the rally side, I see it being a slower rally class (i.e. Gr. 4 is to Gr. 3 what Gr. A is to Gr. B). However, I think there's also a few touring cars from GT5/6's roster that could easily make the transition over, so I don't consider the other option to be it off the table. In that case I would see it being a category for 80's-90's touring/race cars.

However, I don't think Gr. A is likely to come in the next content update - we just got Gr. 2 last month, and honestly in it's ~3 weeks of existence it hasn't had a lot of prominence or spotlight in the main modes, and I'd find it odd for PD to jump to adding another class so quickly when Gr. 2 hasn't had proper spotlight in Sport mode. And if Gr. A is in fact rally, then you can add Gr. B on top of the Gr. 2 issue.

All that said, if Gr. A is to be added this month, here's my predictions (which would be in addition to everything above):

If Gr. A is rally:

Lancia Delta - world renowned champion car, almost the face of historic rally itself. Not much needs to be said.
Ford Escort RS Cosworth - partly due to it's rally fame, partly due to the fact that it's high on the suggestions forum.
(Honestly I don't know much about rally so this is really as far as I can predict)

If Gr. A is retro touring cars:

BMW E30 Group A (DTM?) - a brand new addition last update and already extremely popular, top of the suggestions forum, an obvious choice for the new class.
Mercedes 190E Evo II - arguably one of the most famous touring cars of it's era, and a direct competitor to the E30. I would also predict the road version to come along side the race car.
Nissan Skyline Touring Car - any one of the R32, 33, or 34 touring cars introduced in GT5's race car pack; the R32 in particular looks very era-appropriate and blends well with the two cars above.
Mazda RX-7 Touring Car - similar to above
Any of many of the RM cars available in GT5, even some that land in the '00s - the aesthetic seems right, though I don't know how the performance compares. The NSX, Silvia, and older Lotus (if licensing can be sorted out) don't seem like too far fetched an idea.

Now... tracks.

I was expecting Le Mans to be included at launch, and then when it wasn't there I figured it would be one if the first things added post-launch - but alas, Monza and Tsukuba both took me by surprise, and we still don't have it; I really don't know what to expect, track-wise. I still think Le Mans is highly likely to be reintroduced, but given what's been released so far I'm not sure I could put money on it 100% coming in the next update.

I think these are all on the table for an April update:

- Le Mans
- Deep Forest
- the only officially announced track to be in development.
- Laguna Seca - massively popular and has deep roots with the franchise.
- Autopolis - early build was "leaked" early in GTS's pre-launch press cycles, but no further update/confirmation has been revealed/announced.
- Additional layouts for Dragon Trail and/or Alsace.

@Famine, it didn’t quote properly in my end.
Make your selection of 12 cars and two tracks then.

That's literally the point of this thread - predict the 12 cars and two tracks that you think will be in the assumed 12-car, two-track pack with the assumed April content update, not scattergun 35 cars (plus all the various models you suggest under marques like Porsche, or variants you suggest under badges like Camaro) and five tracks.

If I had to guess,

Before i start, i'm gonna take a look at the list from my 1.15 prediction thread and maybe pull some cars from there.

The March update was quite unexpected, getting a new race car class and return of Tsukuba. The first car, RX7 FC, was in fact a correct guess. I will reuse some of the cars from the list above but will change some others.

I’m guessing (hoping) the update will include a electric car, maybe a Tesla model S or Model 3, Fisker Karma, or the return of the Mitsubishi iMiEV :) although it would be funny if they’d add the Renault Twizy or something

Probably a classic car, Citroën 2CV, Volkswagen Beetle or a classic American muscle car or Japanese car, just hope it won’t be another Skyline or GTR......maybe the Datsun from SEMA.

For racecars, (obviously?) the Toyota Supra concept, and I’m secretly hoping for the cup car version of the Mazda MX5. Maybe a proper (new) LMP1 or 2 or maybe 3 car?

For tracks I’m guessing(hoping) LeMans, Spa or Silverstone or a return of a classic GT track.

So far my uninformed guesses :)

Was curious to see if we'd get any cars from this list. Only manufacturers missing are: Lotus, Lancia, Tesla, Cizeta and Pagani. Recent reveal/talk about electric cars, may net us Tesla. I can't see Cizeta making an appearance, but DeTomaso is on it's own. I can see the Megane V6, Corvette C2, Cobra Coupe and GT500 making it in. When? don't know.

I'd adjust my list as so:
Fuji Speedway GP & Classic

I'd adjust my list as so:

The AE Quattro is based on the Group B version; the one in GTS is the Pikes Peak version.

It seems from 2012-2015, Kaz had an agenda at Pebble Beach. He was selecting gorgeous race cars from a very specific window of time (1952-54)-

'12- 1954 Ferrari 500 Mondial
'13- 1953 Aston Martin DB3S
'14- 1954 Maserati A6GCS Spyder
'15- 1952 Cunningham C-4R Competition Roadster

Now as we know, Kaz is a huge fan of the "dream race" idea. The 1967 Le Mans trio were the most notable "storyline" selection of Gran Turismo 5, with the Ford Mark IV '67, Ferrari P4 330 '67, and Jaguar XJ13 '66.

Given this, I'm guessing in an update soon, if PD releases a Pebble Beach car, they will release more than one at that time so the fans can actually race the cars against each other and have the multi-million prize car race that can never happen in real life again.

So I don't know if it will be two at a time, or even three or all four, but hopefully this helps someone with their predictions!
I'd like to see the 1929 Mercedes-Benz Tourer. Although very unfitting for the current car list, we never had a 1920s car in Gran Turismo. I LOVE prewar cars.

We had 1910's and pre 1900's, so sure that is a plausible idea

I don't think the Model T or Motor Wagon are going to be back in GT Sport, but I'd love to see a pre war race car class with alfas and bentleys and auto unions.

I don't think they would ever make it to Sport. But GT7/GT8 when the PS5 comes out? The Auto Unions, Bentleys, and Alfas could get in. Maybe even the Model T and the Patent Motorwagen, I'd love to see those as well. I might not drive them, but use them as collector's pieces really because they are just beautiful.

I'm going off the wall here. These are cars and tracks I want, I know people aren't going to agrre with my predictions, but here goes:

Cars:
1961 Jaguar E-Type
1992 Jaguar XJ220
2012 Ferrari F12 Berlinetta
2016 Ford Mustang GT350
1963 Corvette Convertible (C2)
2010 Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera
1969 Dodge Daytona or 1970 Plymouth Superbird
1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28

Tracks:
Spa Francorchamps
Road America

Ok, let me bite and try, emphasis on try, to guess what I think will come on the next batch. Two tracks and twelve cars, right?

For the tracks, I put my money on:

Deep Forest - An original, fan-favorite track. Teased a lot by PD.
Spa-Francorchamps - A real, fan-favorite track. Requested a lot, apparently, so I'd expect it to show up, sooner or later.

Cars:

Toyota Supra GR Concept - We all know this one. No points for that one.
Lexus LF-A - A return from previous games.
Honda NSX-R 02 - A return from previous games.
Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI Tommi Makkinen - A return from previous games.
Toyota AE86 Sprinter Trueno - Someone already suggested this and I don't know how it still isn't in, considering PD.
Nissan Silvia Spec-R Aero (S15) - More Nissan.
Nissan GT-R R35 Nismo GT3 (2017 or 18) - The facelifted GT-R GT3 and more Nissan.
Ferrari F12 Berlinetta - I think this will come before the more recent 488.
Ford GT (2017) - Because it's a pretty relevant machine in Ford, and they already have the previous GT.
Mclaren P1 - Because complete the Holy Trinity of Supercars.
Porsche 918 Weissach - Because, come on, we need more Porsche and complete the Holy Trinity of Supercars.
GoPro Rampage Camaro - Because SEMA GT Award winner.

Not my preferred update, but it's my guess, and I'm willing to bet I'll only be 20% correct, at the very best.

(Update 1.18 car silouettes are teased, sees faint outline of a 3 wheeled looking parkbench) My reaction: YES! The first car has returned to Gran Turismo!!

I loved the 1886 Benz Patent Motorwagen (also the '86 Daimler and '15 Ford T) from GT4. So slow but unique and probably THE most important cars in history.

Don't think we'll be seeing Laguna Seca . The ownership change and the track entitlement changing from Mazda to Weathertech would possibly throw off licensing deals.
Any chance the sponsorship change is why no Laguna Seca yet, but once official... BOOM!! now in GT Sport - WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca!! I can see it now

Here’s my two cents on the next round of DLC:

1. Ferrari Dino
2. Ford GT40 Mk 4 Race Car
3. Honda NSX '91
4. Lamborghini Miura
5. Lancia Stratos
6. Mazda MX5 Gen 1
7. Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI TME
8. Shelby Coupe Daytona
9. Subaru Imprezza 22B STI '98 (standard)
10. Toyota GR Supra Concept (NEW) - Gr.2 addition
11. Sung Kang Fairlady Z (NEW)
12. VW Beetle 1600 - One for the livery editors

What's worth taking into consideration is GT League and potential forthcoming events. There's quite a few events still yet to be added, seeing as PDI are recycling a lot of the older GT races from previous games. I believe the following are the most likely to be added and so will influence the next wave of DLC.

Classic Supercar Cup - We already have the GT40, 512BB and Countach. Adding in the Miura, Dino and Stratos (all premiums) would complete the field.
Historic Racing Car Cup - Ferrari P4 and Jaguar XJ13 already present, Mk4 GT40 seems inevitable as it formed part of GT5's Le Mans Holy Trinity so to speak. The Shelby Coupe Daytona as the only other GT6 premium would be another great addition. Pre existing standards such as the 2 Chaparrals and the Toyota 7 could pad the field out further in future DLC. Needs to be it's own class though as an X rating seems rather dumb. Maybe "Gr.6" given that classes existence during that era?

Other events to watch out for? Classic Sportscar Cup and Classic Muscle Car Cup are surefire bets for future release but probably not the April update given they're respective fields are currently rather limited. The former needs serious work but the latter is shaping up rather nicely (Corvette Stingray, Dodge Challenger and Mach 1 Mustang all present and accounted for).

As for the JDMs; NSX, Lan Evo, Imprezza and the MX5 are a given seen as they’re such iconic JDM cars. If it’s not in this DLC then it's inevitable they'll appear in future packs. If I'm not mistaken the '98 Imprezza would be the only standard. Given it's WRC pedigree with Colin McRae this would be the most appropriate addition. Same goes for the Evo VI in the TME trim.

The elephant in the room is Pebble Beach, The most likely additions would be the Aston Martin DB3S and the Ferrari Mondial 500 seeing as they're the oldest PB winners yet to feature in Gran Turismo. Definite wild cards, but more suited to traditional GT release than GTS I think.

As for tracks. I'll go with Deep Forest. Spa and Silverstone will come soon enough though!

I thought I already posted here...? Maybe I'm getting confused with a similar thread. Anyhow:

'85 Toyota Levin Trueno (AE86)
'18 Toyota Supra GR Concept
'03 BMW M3 CSL (E46)
'92 Jaguar XJ220
'73 Nissan 240/Fairlady FuguZ
'94 Cizeta V16T
'13 Pagani Huarya
'08 Maserati Gran Turismo
'89 Mazda MX-5
'06 Mitsubishi Evolution XI
'70 Dodge Charger 440
'12 Tesla Model S

Deep Forest Raceway
Spa

My guesses would be

New liveries for the each for the Super GT cars:
Calsonic IMPUL GT-R '16
ARTA NSX '16
TOM'S RC-F '16

New cars:
Toyota Supra Gazoo Racing Concept (Gr.3)
BMW E30 M3 Evolution (Gr. A)
Ford Sierra Cosworth (N200)
Ford Sierra Cosworth (Gr. A)
Lanica Stradale 037 (N200)
Lanica Rally 037 (Gr. A)
Honda NSX Type-R '02 (N300)
McLaren P1 (N1000)
Porsche 991.2 GT2RS (N700)

The Porsche is probably hopeful thinking, but i would love to see another Porsche road car in the game. Wouldn't mind the 918 or CGT either.

Added bonus: All the cars in the game, plus any future cars from there on, are playable as rental cars in Arcade Mode, for free, as an incentive to just drive anything for fun, or to try cars before buying them. However they have limited tuning options as opposed to buying the cars, and you cannot use custom liveries on them.

You can still use the cars you've bought (garage cars) in arcade mode, with their incentive of their custom liveries and further depth of tuning.

Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps

Added bonus: All the cars in the game, plus any future cars from there on, are playable as rental cars in Arcade Mode, for free, as an incentive to just drive anything for fun, or to try cars before buying them. However they have limited tuning options as opposed to buying the cars, and you cannot use custom liveries on them.

You can still use the cars you've bought (garage cars) in arcade mode, with their incentive of their custom liveries and further depth of tuning.

I think it's asking too much of PD to put so much modern stuff in one update: P1, 918, GT and 488? I'd love that, but I don't think so.

EDIT: The added bonus would be fantastic. Should have been in the game from the beginning. However, PD always removes cars from the Arcade selection and never puts them back. They did it in GT5, in GT6 and odds are they continue doing it here.
