I personally think the Saints Row series destroys GTA. And thats coming from a HUGE GTA fan. But to each his own. Hopefully you at least tried SR2 and the full co-op campaign. If you played solo then you didnt experience how the game was meant to be played.

San Andreas Multiplayer was a lot more fun than Saint's Row 2 co-op. Mainly because SR2's multiplayer was buggy and extremely laggy no matter who happened to be hosting at the time.

All I can say is, play San Andreas on the PC.

A friend of mine started to talk me into Saint's Row 3, recently. I love the GTA games, and a bit more of that kind would be a nice break from Forza, so I'm actually thinking about that. Given that I'm only holding onto my PS3 because I'm still waiting for The Last Guardian, I might actually trade it in and get me some fun stuff for my Xbox.

Truly THE best sandbox experience out there. Thats just SR2, just wait until you see everything you can do in SR3!!!

I have to say Just Cause 2 is probably my favourite of the sandbox genre at present, however from what you've told me so far and after watching a few trailers, I'm considering giving SR3 a go. The manapult I saw in a gameplay vid today looks hilarious.


Also I'd just like to make a public service announcement in the hope that I can save you all a few $$, don't buy Rage. I'm so disappointed, it's truly a terrible game. I couldn't recommend this game even if it was on one of those silly mega cheap steam sales nor would I suggest hiring it.

The map is sooo huge, it takes like 15 mins just to fly over it with a jet!

I NEVER had any problems with lag in Saints Row 2. Ever. Buggy yes but never had problems with lag. Since you are in South Australia maybe the connection is not quite as good there. I have 25 megs download and 3 megs upload. Never any connection or lag problems with SR2.

Yes Just Cause 2 is amazing. I just wish it was co-op. Its the best single player sandbox game. But in terms of co-op sandbox games, Saints Row 2 is the most fun I have ever had. ANd the most I have ever laughed while playing a game.

-BF3 sucks really badly on consoles and I hate having to use a desk surface to game so I'll skip it on PC too

-COD MW3 looks like it's as arcadey as ever with yesterday's graphics and kill streaks for everyone, even one armed gimps!

I hope Bioshock Infinite makes up for those two disappointing FPS

I think that battlefield 3 will beat the pants off of call of duty 3. Its just a better game, plus I can fly jets!

BF BC2>BF3>CoD WAW>CoD4>BF BC>CoD MW2>CoD Black Co*ks.

That's the order for me. I have yet to play the full BF3 yet. But I was not impressed with BF3 in comparison to my love of Bad Company 2. Battlefield 3 player movement feels to CoDish to me.

Oh maybe it was worse on the PC version because it ran very well on the 360. Its unfortunate you didnt get to enjoy the game becuase SR2 truly is one of the best sandbox games out there.

I'm loving it all these games are giving me great entertainment but I dont have all the time in the world to play them so hopefully game releases slow for a little bit !

They usually have issues during the first week of play due to stress but they are on dedicated servers, the problems get sorted then its only very few times problems are experienced after that.

Every game of the Skate series has had connection and mic issues. They have never been fixed. I'm fairly certain that the games have been out for more than a weeks time.

Well we were discussing FPS games and I have played all Battlefield games for hundreds of hours and for me connection issues were mainly on the first week of release then after that (now listen carefully to this bit because you completely disregarded my comment from my last post) only very few times problems are experienced after that.

I'm fairly certain that the games have been out for more than a weeks time.

Anyone picking up Halo Anniversary? Its $39.99 and is supposed to be running on the Reach engine. Which means there will be 2 playlists. One that plays exactly like the original CE and another that uses the armor effects like armor lock, sprint, jet packs. The maps have been redesigned in that playlist. It also has a full co-op campaign.

I am still undecided about this game and I need to make the decision asap to get the grunt funeral skull. I am still hooked on Reach and cant get enough of it so I havent decided if I want Halo Anniversary. I never played Halo Ce until after Halo 3 and I didnt care much for it. But this runs off the new engine and has quite a few new features.

The other problem is that it comes out the same day as Saints Row 3. Still not sure yet. If my friend gets it I will get it for sure.

It's about 8mbps dl and 1mbps upload. Not that great but I get excellent and consistent connection with every other game I play online.

Yup very excited about the GT5 announcement. As I mentioned on the previous page, I really hope it takes all the fun from Vice City and San Andreas and Saints Row 2/3 then puts it into GTA5. I just want all the FUN from those other games. GTA4 was not very fun to me and was way too restricted for a GTA game. I want to buy houses and cars, full customization, parachute, monster trucks, quads, dirt bikes, everything from the roots of the GTA series and less from GTA4.

I wouldnt be surprised to see GTA5 in Vegas. Especially since there was a taste of Vegas in GTA San Andreas on the final island. And the V has a money look to it.
So my 4 guesses for GTA5 location would be:
1. Vice City
2. San Andreas
3. Vegas
4. Or even better!!!! The option to fly from Vice City to San Andreas!!!
