It's good to see the credit feedback was heard but it's still a pass until they remove the always-online requirement, add a decent single player campaign, and improve the Race AI beyond the PS3 era.

I'm also wondering how many of these races being boosted are the ones that saw cuts in the last patch; I detest anchoring, and this definitely feels like anchoring.

[e] "..as we develop as a live service." - I missed this somehow in my first read, and given what it means for the direction of the game, I'm out. A first-party AAA 'live service' game with a premium pricetag? Nope, no thank you.

FFS, update installed now the server won't connect. What have they done this time?
That´s not unusual for GT. Every update comes with some amount of downtime - usually around one hour.

It does sound like we'll likely be returning to pre-1.07 credit rates, which... weren't very good either. At least there should be a larger variety of ways to get that money, at least.

Hopefully custom races will be improved, even if they're not mentioned here. They're the best source of variety in this stage where there is little variety in the pre-built races.

While the news of upcoming adjustments to the game are encouraging, none of that will apparently be in update 1.09.

They aren't going to remove always-online, the message includes the line "as we develop as a live service". The plan is to make this almost like the racing game version of Destiny.

So I think that means we can look forward to the addition of co-op raids!! Can picture it now, 6 players working together on the track to defeat Sophy and her various acolytes...

Less than that!!! I go for cataract surgery on March 28, that is this Monday! I can’t wait!!! Being able to see clearly is a glorious thing!!!!

Thank God for modern science!

I’m the meantime, I’m taking screenshots to add to the collection.

And then the screen goes black again.
I wish you a fast recovery!

But it is also in the description of the news that it will be ready at the beginning of April.

That's pretty unfortunate. I can't imagine some of the changes mentioned being that hard to implement, like raising the credit cap, or just adding in a few events that already existed before release.

Maybe I'll continue playing next week.

And then what? They're increasing rewards. They are adding endurance racing, they are adding the ability to sell cars. They are trying to fix a lot of stuff due to community lash-out. You could have posted this in any of the other 50 rightfully negative threads.
I didn't know it was supposed to be a "positive" thread. I did pay for the game, just so you know.

Which is exactly what blog post says. Today everyone will get 1 million credits. Updates with other stuff will be in April.

My game is online but every "online" sections are still grey and can't be selected...

Too bad we don't get the 20,000,000 Cr limit raise, i had to spend 18,500,000 yesterday to ease the pressure...

You jest, but some kind of open-world Motorstorm Apocalypse / Twisted Metal with a co-op base raid mechanic actually sounds quite interesting.
