sharpshooter review

socom 4 and sharpshooter

killzone 3 review with sharpshooter
no aim assist.

I've been thinking of getting one considering I already have the MOVE and Nav, but I never use 'em.

I know what you mean, I didn't use mine very often, until I got the sharpshooter. Now that I have it, I use it on every game that's move compatible. I find it slot more enjoyable than the dualshock. I'm good with the controller, but a lot better with the move. Of course I have put some serious practice hours on the move, so I'm already used to it.

For comparisons sake, I still think this is a really good instructional video for the possibilities of using the Move with KZ 3.

I bought a move on launch for shooters. Had a few issues with how it worked but could see the obvious gains in accuracy at the cost of camera control. When the sharpshooter was announced I thought it would solve all my issues with FPS control with the move.

The sharpshooter I found was an improvement and preferred using it than just using the move by itself. The increase in accuracy over the dual shock lead to a decrease in camera control, and after a few hours of playing I figured theres advantages and disadvantages to both, why am I going through and re-learning how to play a game with a new control system when I had no issue with the old control system. That and I have to sit in a particular spot on my couch in one position, rather than where ever I want.

I have since sold my Sharpshooter. Kept the move just in case something cool comes along for it, but its just not for me. I can see where people can gain from it, and I appreciate what it does, and it is certainly cool taking players down with it, but it's just not for me.

i would have to agree with you on the camera control, it does take some getting use to, but we also have to remember its still in the early stages.

zipper interactive definitely got a step up on how to manipulate the move controller.
what they introduced with socom 4, is the ablity to hold the L2 button on the nav for precision camera control. which greatly diminishes camera lose control.
