Can anyone comment on this update and the F10 wheel shake? I haven't been able to try it myself yet.

I don't know but that is why I didn't drive the car. The 2007 shook less but still shook they should have fixed that one too.

It's pretty much the reason I don't drive it as much as F2007. It makes the F10 so unpredictable.

Is the problem that the wheel always shook or did it just start with the update? I didn't notice it when I first drove Spa and never noticed it before that. If by shake you mean the vibration from a stiffly sprung front end, then yea, I definitely notice that a lot but it's a car set up issue, not the wheel.

The wheel shake (DFGT in my case) was more prevalent on the F10 than F2007 (or any other car for that matter) prior to the V2.01 update. Allegedly, V2.01 fixed the F10 wheel shake.

I get a ton of wheel shake on my F10 but I've never complained about it. It's never caused me to crash and I don't eve use aids to help straighten the car out. It does go away when you soften the front end so I think it's really a issue with tuning and the difference in overall design of the f2007 vs. the f10. If you watch videos of Hamilton and Button qualifying from the last few gp's, especially going into the chicane after 130R at Suzuka, you'll see the car bounce violenty.

I d/l'ed the patch before work today and ran the Indy Ferrari Formula race with the F10. Whereas before you'd get the shake pretty bad coming around the last turn, now it's as smooth as the F2007. Makes the F10 more usable; before I was worried about what it would do to my DFGT.

I haven't been able to try this, but I did get quite a lot of wheel shake on my DFGT with the X2011, has anyone else gotten this?

I've confirmed F10 wheel shake is virtually non-existent now with v2.01.

I'll have to come up with another reason for driving it so badly.

I kinda destroyed my DFGT after driving two laps around Spa with the thing. :(

I had worried about DFGT wheel damage too for a bit. That shaking was really bad at times. I didn't even think this fix was on PD's radar. They surprise me from time to time. With good things and bad things.

That car is still a beatch to drive. My F2007 has 9k miles on it so aside from dropping 12 large again I should probably get some miles racked up on the F10. I think my F2007 has reached the engine deterioration point because even after a engine rebuild I can still only reach 720HP.

I did a free practice session of 30 min on SPA yesterday, with the F10, and I didn't have any problems at all. Smooth and fast, the car has so much grip! No shaking, nothing strange, using G27.

are you guys specifically talking about the dfgt wheel? I remember when I first downloaded the dlc and tried the f10 online on spa which made the wheel go clunk clunk clink sounded like it was going to break. Also experienced this on tracks I made ages ago so never bothered to use the f10 since. I thought it was just how the wheel was as I noticed it abit with the x2010 to. After noticing this topic and downloading the latest update I can say that my wheel nolonger makes the clunky noise's with the f10.

Where I noticed they corrected wheel vibration using the f10 on certain sections of tracks. such as one stretch of Nurburgring GP cicuit. on one straight section of track the wheel would vibrate for seemingly no reason everytime. Now it doesnt do it.

I honestly thought this issue wasn't even on PD's radar. I'm glad it was. The fix made a major improvement. There are still good levels of feedback too; so it's not like they deadened the feel any.

It's fixed. I tried it just today, took the car on all the parts where it shook (G27). It either doesn't shake, or shakes very very little. Feels fantastic now!!

I always turned down FF if driving those cars and didn't have that problem.

Sometimes one of the front wheels would vibrate up and down for apparently no reason, but I couldn't feel that in the FF.

In true painful irony my DFGT wheel seems to have lost on track FFB. I lost it while trying to do the Formula GT Seasonal TT. I'd take F10 wheel shake any day over no FFB.

I noticed that too on my DFP. There barely any opposing force when I was spinning my wheel drifting.

Yep. My DFGT motor is toast. Boo. Maybe it missed that jaring wheel shake, and needed it to survive.

this is disgusting , the Forcefeed back is gone?? WTF!!

in real f1 theres 5g which means the wheel is 5x heavier

now the forcefeed back is gone and its like -5G

it feels so light i could steer it with 1 finger

I'm still having a bunch of problems with other vehicles, namely the Lancer Evo X TC and the Red Bulls (using a Logitech G25). If you center the wheel, the wheel just wobbles violently from side to side and is painful to hold for too long.

Is it still like this?

Wheels clipping through the track is the cause of the wheel shake/strong force feedback.

Yeah that's why you need to turn down FF to 1 for those cars. Try it. There's still plenty of FF- just toned down. Maybe try 2 if not enough at 1

nope you just steered like a maniac and that clip doesn't show any wheels clipping because the steering made was the one that has made it and the steering half way through doesn't show in the car , obviously the person was steering mad.

i dont feel any at 10.

I felt the DFGT at setting 10 wasn't quite enough. I think the DFP wheel had a little bit more strength, at least in GT5p. I'm not going to drop $100 plus or more for a better one though. If the G27 had full controls, and an adjustment dial I'd spring for it. Otherwise, a DFGT with some kind of full paddle shifter mod is the best for me. Unless they keep running a 3 yr lifespan.
