Hey everybody. :)

I just started playing this again recently.

Fastest Time on RC Baron (Plane) Race - 2:10 - atwyatt

Also, should the glitched time in the standings count as a legitimate time, instead of the actual race time?

Anyways, for the air race(s), it's good to see the same principles apply from San Andreas to Vice City, or from one game to another. :) I'm pretty sure I can lower the time another second. The 2:08 will be tougher, but I think it may be possible. Anyways, thanks! :)
 
I kind of inherited the "glitch stat thing" from the previous recordbook maintainer--

IMO you are correct-- I put the time he claimed to get in the stats and put his glitch time next to it in parenthesis... added your time. I do hope you equal/beat his time so we know we have a legitimate time-- his only proof was the screenie of his stats-- I don't think it fair to exclude the 2:09 (still #1) after so many years.

There are probably other ones too-- I know I never felt right having a glitched 74 meter jump height record.... there are a variety of ways to get legitimate times much higher...---

Taxi boost & Superjumps which aren't really glitched stats but utilize programing bugs.
I've seen numerous stunt vids with some legitimate very high jumps but have no idea what the actual "heights" were on these...

I may have to give VC some play time... my PS3 is broke and out for repair for the next few weeks (shipped it yesterday), so can't play IV right now :(
 
Just so everyone knows (who might check this)-- he explained to me how he did it, I will be verifying this to prove it can be done without cheats or whatnot-- but promised I would not reveal his method nor use it myself to beat his record

Sorry it took me so long but I have now verified his method works to obtain a large amount of kills very rapidly and it does not employ the use of cheats or a cheat device--- this blows away my killing methods (is many times faster)

Spuds is impressed... 👍

Thats a big update-- give me a bit of time--

PC records are ok now-- if I feel that it was obtained by mods then I may exclude a record and/or ask for more info on how it was achieved.

Spuds, check out some of the videos you posted for vasil72's races and time trials. Lots of them don't work at all. YouTube is giving invalid ID errors for them.

I saw that in updated record book on first page some links don’t work. But did you check my links on my post? Did you check my YouTube profile? So…just do it, and you ‘ll see that all my links work. Why do you hate me KieranMurphy? Because I am better than you?
 
I did not verify all his posted links and actually updated the book offline (copied the books and his post to MSword, updated them when I should have been doing something else ;) and then uploaded the updated books after-- I've seen most of the vids for his race times from GTAForums where he already posted this stuff.

Perhaps I lost part of the youtube urls...

I don't think he really hates you, KM was once king of most of those races-- as I've come to learn, there is always someone out there better then you (when GTA is concerned).... the king is dead, long live the king.... ;)

I sent my records in GTAForums and in Cyberscore too, but you know it. Actually I know this Record book for about three years ago…then I haven't played for making records yet, but I used to watch that record book. Although I saw some PC records here, I wondered that my records will be accepted, because I sent many records.

There is a method for making your bike ride faster, it's called "RAD's Method". (RAD is a San Andreas stunter who discovered it.) It was discovered in SA but it also works in VC. It's very useful, mainly for PCJ600 as you are able to wheelie at any speed (only driving south, the game has a "north bug" you know). You can use this method when driving Sanchez or Freeway too. I think if you'd learn this method you could beat some world records when it comes to races. For example, "Ocean Drive" can be easily done in under 45 seconds.

Shots fired by the hunter and sea sparrow mini gun are not tallied as shots fired-- however specific things hit do count as hits.

I don't recall who discovered it but if you shoot at a blown up car-- the bullets that hit stat will go up but the shots fired stays the same-- I believe Shannon-- an active user from about 6 to 7 years ago who started this recordbook here-- found that his accuracy was up over 100% after doing a lot of vigilante in the hunter when he blew up alot of cars--

Anyway-- famine did it by starting a new game.... firing 1 shot.... collecting 100 hidden packages to unlock the hunter (or possibly 80 packages to unlock the sea skimmer)... and then firing at a blown up car to raise the stat (tape down the fire button).

I did this back in 2003 to raise my accuracy to about 400,000% and in my game (with greater then 100 shots fired)-- it boosted my criminal rating to over 2 million-- Famine raised his CR at some point after me... and used a save with alot less shot fired.

Hope that explains it....

I'll update those superjump records shortly... nice.... I had a blast when I was doing those-- they are addictive-- you keep telling yourself just one more (trying to get the big stats)...

FYI-- there are superjumps in GTA III, San Andreas, & GTA IV too.... the GTA IV one has somehow got the name "swingset glitch" but it acts just like a superjump.... you can check them out on you tube...

Thanks for updating my stats even thought you didn't update my 6 flips... and ima try to beat my records again. Also the blown up car thing is awesome method, ima shoot that thing for hours.. And holy **** theres GTA III superjump?!!?
