Making me tear up again. His spirit lives on.

Dont forget the Sandown 500 in 2003 for Jason Richards. The race IMO which put Richo on the map. He really was a true fighter!

HRT digs in to respect the ANZAC Spirt.
The Holden Racing Team has relaxed Trans-Tasman sporting rivalry by running special one-off ANZAC livery for the ITM 400 Auckland.
Both factory Commodores for Garth Tander and James Courtney will be emblazoned with a contemporary depiction of the ANZAC Rising Sun and silhouettes of Australian and New Zealand soldiers walking side-by-side on the battlefields.

This sticker will not leave any car that i'm involved in within motorsport

👍👍

Not sure if practice times really mean anything in this series, but some interesting names up front from the last session.

  1. Shane Van Gisbergen
  2. David Wall
  3. Lee Holdsworth (!)
  4. Dean Fiore
  5. Tim Blanchard
  6. Alex Premat
  7. Garth Tander
  8. James Courtney
  9. Will Davison
  10. Todd Kelly

Beat me to the punch. Hopefully there's more pace in the Benz. Seems like times may dip to mid low 2's tomorrow.

Holdsworth finishes top 10 Maro Engel P16 and Slade P20.
Tomorrow is the real deal. Can't wait!

Also Caruso 11th for Nissan. Definitely think that he and Holdsworth can contend for a Top Ten result tomorrow. 👍

And they did a nice job with Jason Richards Trophy. Looks great. 👍

Yeah, Caruso is stepping up. Gotta watch out for Ingall too.

Im jumping the gun but, it would be emotional if BJR camp were to win the JR, BROCK and Wheldon trophy.

Red Bull team boss: "We're not as dominant as we used to be".

Blah, Blah...

Sure.

Edit: Gonna miss the first race. :(

And I feel so sorry for them, finally other teams have been able to keep up or even better.

Ugh, my computer is so crappy that it'll barely play the stream. :(

Edit: Maybe it was just the intro. The broadcast quality is slightly worse so it plays that just fine.

Great race, that second one 👍. Frosty will probably cop some for his botched move but I am just glad he had a go, rather then bottling it.

Erebus though *facepalm*

NISMO done good!

Yeah, Erebus is killin' me right now.

Frosty waited to long up against Coulthard but, it is what it is. He made his move.

On to tomorrow.

Some good racing today. 👍
And congrats to Scott McLaughlin on his first race win!

And to think Scott is only a year older than me, wow. Super talent.

With Frosty's angry man pace, he could take the next two races. In the same breath, I love this series, its a toss up each race.

It's amazing how this year compared to last couple seemed to completely change the outlook from fans. We got tired of the Triple Eight reign but now everyone seems to be able to run well and win.

On a side note, I'm a little irritated that the Austin race won't have shuttles to the track, so they make you buy a $60 parking pass + $13 handling fee.

Yeah, got that email too. Wardez will be buying ours and then I'll just pay him back during the trip. Our hotel deal didn't work out, so we have to find something on our own. Should be able to book something by the end of next week. (hopefully)

^^No worries guys, it will all be worth it when you get up close and personal with the drivers, the cars and Betty Klimenko. She asked to take a pic of my daughter, gave my wife a big hug and didnt let her go! Then she chatted with us for like 10 minutes. At the same time Holdsworth was walking by and we were all having a big chat. Just standing there. She's the only team owner you'll see mixing it up with the fans. Enjoy!

Any confirmation of other support categories in your itinerary other than Pirelli Challenge?

Whincup and Frosty on the front row for Race 8. Heh heh

The HRT cars seem slow out of corners but good to see them up the pointy end.
Good job by Moffat in Qualifying. Don't know if his race pace is quick enough today.
I guess it's NISMO's turn this weekend, to move forward.
Erebus are riding the back of the field. Two more races, we'll see how they go.

So either the schedule is wrong for the next race, or their countdown timers are not working. I see a 1 hour gap between the end of qualifying and the start of the next race on the schedule, but the countdown timer on the front page says 1.5 hours from now...

Not to mention the countdown timer on the stream page is always wrong.

Edit: I see the typo. Qualifying should say that it ended at 8:49 their time, not 9:49.

That sucks, but it shouldn't be too hard to find a room. I just was a little shocked at the email this late in the game which worried me. I figured they would try to keep traffic away and have folks shuttled in.

Thank you Whincup for being a bitch and ruining the race for Frosty.

What an ass. That move was so stupid.

Edit: Karma's a bitch! :D
