Thank you Whincup for being a bitch and ruining the race for Frosty.

What an ass. That move was so stupid.

Edit: Karma's a bitch! :D

Yup! :D
After seeing that replay, that was a huge divebomb that was always going to end in tears.

First Ford victory of the year, Will Davison becomes the 7th different winner this year and takes over the Championship lead. Also another solid top ten for Rick Kelly and Nissan. 👍

I get the feeling race 9 will get interesting...

In one of the support NZ Ute races, a ute wandered onto the grass on the outside of the last corner and speared into the pit wall, dumping coolant and oil all over the starting positions at the front of the grid on the pitwall side of the track.

I am sure that will please that side of the Supercar grid no end...

And just when I was thinking the ute race was boring

Whincup has been docked 15 points for his "bump and rub" pass on Frosty...

Good. That's won't really do anything in the long run though...

That bit with Lowndes sideways through turn 1 which they've shown twice tonight has to be perhaps the best bit of broadcast I've seen this year.

What a save that was!

Good to see HRT up at the top again. 👍

This circuit is definitely my favourite on the calendar now - 4 exciting races can't be argued with.

Great result for BJR, I am stoked for them. It would be have been great is Coulthard made the podium, but he gave it a good go.

Great work by Nissan again - Moffat showed some good craft.

Frosty's luck though -

HRT did good. MOFFAT was great for NISMO. the cars showed great speed this weekend.

Now, everyone who says this is the Commodore cup need to pipe down. THIS IS V8 Supercars at its best! This was an awesome race weekend and much respect to BJR for getting the JR TROPHY!

I'm looking forward to Perth and hopefully Erebus can get back some speed for that event.

Yeah, about Frosty's luck. Look like he was hitting that curb a bit too hard but, he was the fastest this weekend. Wanted him to get Whincup. On to Perth!

Very glad to see that trophy head back to where it belongs!

Bright punching a hole in the light. Priceless.

Frosty and Jeff Gordon have about the same luck it seams. None.

Good to see the trophy went to where it belongs. Some things are just meant to be.

So happy that Jason and BJR won today. What a great race weekend. :)

Yep. It just wouldn't have been right, if someone else other than BJR had won it. 👍 And Bright punching the light on the podium.

Great result for HRT too. Hopefully a win isn't too far away.

What a stellar weekend of racing to watch, that track provides great entertainment value. I'll once more 2nd the notion it was great to see BJR win that round, and perhaps with Tander's strength at Perth HRT will get a win soon.

:)

I saw that on Fab's Twitter, worth a good laugh indeed.

Four exciting races, cannot complain. The BJR cars are looking stronger and stronger, what a weekend!

Jason Bright punching the lights on the podium, I guess it's not so bright anymore

The look on his face.

Key upgrades confirmed for HRT in Perth
The Holden Racing Team will go into battle at the next V8 Supercars round sporting crucial upgrades to its VF Commodore package that will be tested for the first time at the Barbagallo circuit.
Arriving ahead of the Perth round from May 3-5 are improvements to the HRT’s engines and suspensions as the factory squad works toward snapping a long drought that will not be tested until Friday practice at the Perth circuit.
The evolutionary improvements are vital to the HRT’s progress that has yielded podiums and promising speed over the last few races.
What do you think the chances are of getting brightie to run this livery for the NZ round next year ;)

How the Americans are pitching V8 Supercars:

As invaders.

Go figure it showed the wrecks as the reason to go, not the close fast pace racing. I guess they used the nascar style of race promoting!

Once fans get to see just how good the cars look in person and hear the difference of each make, they'll love the series even more.
