They only need the shell. Tim Edwards said it's too late to get another manufacturer so they would run the 2014 Falcon body. All they're losing( if that's the case) is Ford backing. They could run the team just like GRM, BJR, DÁlberto, Tekno, all the smaller teams that pick and choose their parts.

Yeah, if Ford were to pull out at the end of this year. I'd imagine that would be the case. Even if FPR (or whatever they would call themselves) were to find a new manufacturer, I doubt very much that they could get the program up and running in time for the start of the 2014 championship, this late in the year.

Slade close to locking down future.
One of the key players remaining in the 2014 silly season, Tim Slade, is hopeful of having his future locked down within the next fortnight.
The 28-year-old has been the subject of intense speculation in recent months following the formerly Stone Brothers Racing outfit’s tumultuous transition into its new Erebus Motorsport guise.
Although other teams are known to have chased Slade’s signature, the Gold Coast-based South Australian is now thought highly likely to stay at the customer AMG outfit next year.

I do hope Slade stays. The back part of Winton may hurt the E63s but, we'll see how the weather plays out. 8 days to go!

Hello all. Thank you to the person who updated the poll for me. I have just goe through a massive change going from New Zealand to the UK and have rarely had a chance to get on here, that and I wasn't sure how to update the poll haha. Hope you are all well and buzzing over the championship this season

Welcome back. Remember to add Volvo/Polestar to the poll :)

Tue true.

The more exposure, the better! In The Sydney morning Heraldhttp://smh.drive.com.au/motor-news/gamer-goes-racing-20130814-2rw7y.html

Four years later Ordonez is firmly established as one of Nissan's star drivers. He has raced in the famous Le Mans 24-hour race in a prototype sports car (finishing on the podium twice), will be competing in the FIA GT world series in a Nissan GT-R and this week came to Australia to test a V8 supercar, which he might drive in the Bathurst 1000 in 2014.

I could register one in my home town as long as it has all working lights and seat belts.

Pretty much here too, we have a few old cup cars running around. Arizona is by far one of the easiest, I do know that's where most race vehicles that are legal are registered there (biggest one I can think of is Robby Gordon's Dakar Hummer).

They'd have to do it somehow. Just like the YouTube GT-R. But, JD are huge and Kelly Racing wouldn't want to lose that money. In saying that, it's not so responsible having liquor sponsoring on a race car. Fans would welcome a GoPro sponsored car. I know I would.

Even if it was for a one off race, I wouldn't mind it alot like Bathurst was last year or Townsville was for Vodefone.

Bathurst wouldn't be a good fit overall (it would be too much track time to lose for JD). The thing is it could open up so many doors for fans to get closer to the action (similar to what IndyCar 36 was) but from a driver standpoint!

Just based on the helmet design, I'm with Wilbur on the idea of a GoPro livery for the Altima's.

Not to mention those cars will never end up in a GT game with JD on them.

I didn't even think of that either but very good point. Honestly GoPro is hands down a genius with just what they have come out with.

Thank god the other two Altima's don't have JD livery's. There's still hope of seeing one (if not both) of them in GT, one day.

With Bathurst in GT6 and Lucas getting some seat time in them, I'd be surprised if we dont get at least one of them very soon after release of included on day one.

Seeing one in a license test would put V8s on the must see must do events. Especially with one of the biggest motor races on the planet coming up soon.

I think we all went a went screaming like little school girls when we thought about a new livery didn't we? It got me thinking and if they had one, they would replace FPR for me (granted I have lost a ton of interest in them and only really follow Reynolds).

I'm super bad about liking a livery over a driver like Bottle-O, old Pepsi Max are some very nice ones. The HRT were nice both when they were Toll/Rockstar and now when they changed up the rear of the scheme (I was huge fan of the Australian Flag for some reason).

They may have an alternate livery scheme like Forza used for the DJR fords in FM4, or even the standardized barcode from F1 in the mid to late 90s while cigarette advertising was being phased out of countries they visited,

Makes me wonder if Nissan will up the funding to show JD the door. Or, maybe GoPROis a hint that Kelly Racing are looking for adding sponsors in preparation to drop JD? I'd like to know.

Doubt it too much money involved and hasn't harmed Reynolds.
