Whincup and SVG are going to be the guys to beat today, both HRT cars in the shootout though. :) Nice qualifying for Pye and Mostert as well, good to see both of them make the top ten.
 
Let's see what R. Kels can do by himself on track. Same for PYe.

Woo, McLaughlin on pole. 👍 SVG's still the danger man but with Whincup starting a little further back at least this race will be some what interesting. Great laps from both HRT cars too.
 
Great one, Scott. A well put together lap, not even a little bit of rain could stop him! Nice job by Tander, too. His lap looked very smooth compared to the other top 10 runners. Van Gisbergen up there too to keep things interesting for the race. Can't wait, already on the coffee so there's no way I'm falling asleep like I usually do!

So Frosty will not finish 2nd in the championship. Shame as it was practically handed to him with Lowndes's problems this weekend.

Before the rain came down I was going to ask you guys if you thought we would make full race distance. Not looking likely at the moment. At least now I can get back into the Pokémon game I left before the race started!
 
Damn, that's a lot of lightning, this is a proper storm. Love those wet weather slow-mos.
 
Time cut off is 5.41 local time. May as well call this one now. Can't see it being re-started any time soon.

So has the channel Seven broadcast. :lol: As far as I'm aware it hasn't been called yet, the rain is apparently getting worse now. Edit: Scratch that, it has just been called.

Would've been nice if they made an announcement on TV rather than just changing to a new program. :rolleyes:


Edit: spoke too soon! But still, they could've had some information relayed to us. Surely they didn't loss all communication.
 
The last image I saw before it was changed to "Animal Rescue" was Rhiana interviewing Jack Perkins, so has it been called without an on-screen announcement?

EDIT: Yep it has been called.
