I totally forgot about the race today. :lol: :dunce: Judging by HRT's performance though, it was probably for the best. :indiff:

Aside from an episode at the first corner on the second lap, it wasn't a particularly interesting race.

Really wish I could watch the V8 coverage somewhere a bit more reliable than Justin.tv. :indiff:

Edit: Not the best weekend. Damn those orange cars. :grumpy:

Well, that was another boring race. I don't think I've ever seen a good one at QR. It's like it was designed by someone without a shred of imagination.
 
I didn't even bother watching it. Looks like, I didn't miss anything.
 
Another boring race at Queensland Raceway sadly :(. My thoughts about the track reflect those of prisonermonkeys.

I always have to watch via YouTube after few days since mainly only way I see updates is via facebook. It always throws me off because races start and finish before I'm done with working night shift it seems.
 
That's probably because you're in North Carolina, and the races are in Australia. Hopefully things will be manageable for you when the series visits Austin. And possibly Mexico City, if rumours are to be believed.

Well I actually have more of schedule of the aussies anyway considering I normally am up at night til lunch time compared to normal folks. I am excited about them coming to the states, and wish I could afford to go to Austin to see them race!

I will be going, even if I have to scrape together all my pennies. It's a year away, plenty of time to save.

You have a valid point! Tax return could make it worth my wild, just have to see prices considering travel there and all that.

Although Tony Cochrane (the series' equivalent of Bernie Ecclestone) and Mark Skaife are still confident that they will find a fourth manufacturer to enter the category in 2013, suggesting that a new marque could even join in the middle of the season.

Nissan is all set to join with the Altima.

Nobody else confirmed yet.

Kelly Racing - the two Jack Daniel's cars, as well as the Pepsi Max and Fair Dinkum Sheds entries - will switch to Nissan Altimas next year. As R1600Turbo has said, that's the only new manufacturer to join so far. However, both Brad Jones Racing (the BOC, Lockwood and Wilson Security cars) and Garry Rogers Motorsport (the Fujitsu team) have both said they would be willing to change marques, and GRM was talking to Chrysler about fielding the 300C before Chrysler decided against it.

Still not enough to change the fact that I'm just about the only Australian to not have travelled to Bali before.
 
No I've never been, either.

And the timing is a little suspect, given the poor reputation Bali has developed of late. Just yesterday, The Daily Telegraph ran a story about how one Australian dies in Bali every nine days.

No, it's the livery they will use during testing of their COTF cars.

"Ford Performance Racing’s first Car of the Future (COTF) Falcon will run in Ford’s EcoBoost motorsport livery when it takes to the track joining other Ford squads around the world currently running the colour scheme including teams in NASCAR and the World Rally Championship."

Either way it's nice.

Doesn't mean they have to ditch it afterwords. I'd say that's a bit up in the air for now.
 
Not a bad race 1 I guess with FPR both on the podium. Glad that Whincup had a problem with the right rear tire, now Frosty's back on top of the points.
