Every Bathurst since the Driver B rule was introduced, I honestly hate that rule,
It might rob us of seeing the best driver line-ups, but at least it sees the best drivers racing each other for the title. I sometimes wonder if the fantastic races we have seen in recent years would have been as good if the Driver B rule was repealed.

Would have been better, we wouldn't have seen competitive cars buried in the fence after a safety car restart like Luke Youlden, we wouldn't have seen 4 car pile ups on top of the mountain under safety car like 2014,

how do you get better then last years race, like yes it was longer then it should of(Track deterioration) but the race had it all.

What we miss out on is B drivers being paired together and either consolidating themselves or trying to prove themselves, B drivers now drive more to instruction and prove their worth by doing so, meaning we don't get to see their true craft until they are put in a seat and end up either having a mediocre career in B/ C teams or dropped into a top seat and failing miserably because their opportunity was built on a car set up for an experienced driver,

I have a question, can't seem to find anything on it. Starting in 2017, are they dropping the "V8" from the series name?

I personally expect so, hence the logo change

Isn't that a bit strange for what's supposed to be a touring car championship? Because a "supercar" is something that costs six figures and goes like a bat out of heck.

Sometimes I wonder if he's there to keep him from driving for someone else.

Certainly feels that way. Especially now that they've gone to all the trouble to acquire a third REC to keep him in the team.

I want to do a GT6 online racing league using Gen2 rules and just need to know what I should call it. :)
I did one before we knew the nitty-gritty of the technical regulations and everyone who joined has enjoyed it. It's currently in it's second season and, although it's not the exact Gen2 regs as it was made before they were known, but it's close to it in regards of the cars that are up for choosing.

On topic; It seems like everyone is really against the whole Gen2 movement. I think it'll be great, if they can get the parity right. I'm really interested in seeing what car and engine combinations the manufacturer's come up with.

Lexus need to stop playing and grab BJR. If it were BMW or Audi, BJR would have to be the team to link with. DJRTP using BMW would also be a sure bet but, with the Mustang gaining so much interest, Ford has to confirm it. I think if Hyundai were to come in, Erebus might be the best outfit. The engine is an Erebus unit now, so the Genesis V8 shape is almost as upright as the E63. Hyundai would just have to fund the team.

This is Australia, man. It's supposed to be desert heat all year round

Tell me about it. I'm around 4 hours north of Bathurst and it's currently 2°C at 12.45pm. That picture from Mcphillamy park looking down on the town is beautiful though.

Bathurst is on the cold side of the blue mountains, make sense for it to snow.

Yeah but, before I came here, all I knew was Australia had the Opera House, Kangaroos and red dust. ;)

Take a photo of Windsor at 7am and it looks like that, and this is in Sydney lol.

South PEnrith is freezing and my wife wants to move up the mountains. I'm thinking of moving back to Melbourne.

Well, I'm up in sunny North West QLD and it's been consistently 9°C all week. So the cold is far reaching.
