Thats what i love with GT. Buy a slow normal car, and turn it into a road going monster. I am very looking forward to play with the volvo.

Buy a stock car. Do some testing. Tune it a bit, and then check out how the car is handling. Then when its tuned as much as is possible, I buy a new crappy car.

Wonder what a stock volvo can do around nurburing.

I ownd one a couple of years ago. It was not exactly a road going monster. Had lot of fun with it. Volvos are tough. But it turned out big rocks are even tougher.

As someone who's dad has a Volvo Amazon and works in a Classic volvo specialist garage, I'm REAL excited by those pics! Kinda sad but true....

Yes, you saw a 242...rare, and you could get them in turbo...that also covers the 242GT, usually silver or black with a red/orange stripe.

Exactly right. I'd rather have one so-called "pile of crap" than an entire field of F1 cars. I find proletarian cars like the Volvo wagon or Fiat Panda a lot more rewarding to drive.

I'm so glad to finally see a car I own I a GT game. My Volvo has been the best car I have ever owned, it may not melt tires like my old '89 Dodge Shadow ES turbo did (18psi of boost ) however its a hell of alot more reliable. I can't wait to get it so I can do a real world vs. game comparo. I was going to put up some doughnut and brake stand pics of my 1990 Volvo 240DL but I can't figure it out, lil help would be great.

I almost bought myself an old 240 (don't know exactly what year, the guy wouldn't say, but it looked like an '85) for 300 bucks, CAD. I chickened out.

I kind of regret it now. It would have been fun as a project car.

As far as I know, those screens are only the cars available initially. If that's the case, I think it's quite likely the 240 could show up after 10 or 20 game-days or whatever...
