Nothing against johnny though. He is just really good.

That's exactly what I meant, too. :) The thing is, though, if he's testing an FR car, it's not as easy to drive in the wet, as it is in the dry, while FF cars barely handle differently in the rain; everything's just slowed down.

That is what I figured out. FH seemed off the pace in the s2000. Maybe the car is underpowered, or it might just be that difficult to drive in the rain.

Wow, FH was off pace, and I wasn't there to see it? Damn, feels like I missed hell freezing over.

JZR was at the test as well. Agentorunge made a statement with a faster lap time with me.

Yeah, sorry man. It was added recently. I just forgot to add it to the drop down. I just added it at the VERY bottom.

Yep, rain kicked my butt. You're right about rwd being difficult to handle in the rain.

Hmmm, I'm glad then, that no one's testing AWD. FF cars are a bit slower too.

Oh well, the schedule doesn't include another rain-possible track after this.

Looks like we have a crapshute for this weekend. MrM what will the weather % be at the start of the first race?

Well, I won't give that much away, but there IS a tropical depression passing through Friday night. Having lived through tropical depressions in my area, I know that it means a lot of rain, but it will have stopped by Race 2, and the track will dry out.

Also, welcome Agentorunge!

What are the race lengths like? Can't find that anywhere in any of your google docs or 1st post.

Races 1 & 2 are long enough (barely) to make a pit stop mandatory.
Race 3 is a sprint race, between 3-8 laps in length. We might run something like 15 laps of Tsukuba in races 1 and 2, and then 6 in race 3.

Me to. I have weathered probably 8 hurricanes in my life at my house. I live about an hour and a half from the beach in Florida. There is generally a hurricane that hits near me every few years.

You understand, then, that the track will stay somewhat wet, even so many as like fifteen hours after the storm ends. :)

I'm getting online now then. See you guys online, if you want to practice!

Whose lounge/lobby are you going to be in? I will get on and test

Hmmmmmm, I'll be in my own lounge. I'll be switching to the Division 1/2 lounges after Suzuka Full this weekend. Once we sort the drivers into Division 1/2 lounges, then we'll have it all settled.

Alright sounds good. Fixing to fire up the PS3 now.

But is pitting mandatory or still optional?

Mandatory. Two tire compound rule as well. i.e. start the race on softs then you must change to mediums when you pit.

Rain; it will help us beat Johnny, for ONCE.

I've never actually raced in the rain but I do most of my racing these days on CM to SS tires and I think it's pretty much the same thing.

seeing as cnd failed to pick up on what I believe is you meaning during wet weather, here's a previous post from MrM:

If a Full Wet Race is declared, pit stops are not necessary and all drivers will use Racing wets.

If a Partial Wet Race is declared, tire strategy is "fair-game" and "carte-blanche." You don't technically have to pit, but you must keep in mind, that rain tires are not fast, on a quickly drying track. However, rain tires are faster when there's a LOT of rain.

So no intermediate tires? Or are those part of wet tires.

For full wet races, intermediates will not have enough grip. Full wet races are like 100% moisture on track.

Testing now in my lounge

Oh, NOW YOU TEST? Wow, I thought I went 20 years back in the past, to when 90s LM cars were actually good cars. :sly:

Yea I had a supper break and decided to come back to the Touring Car. I love the 90s cars. All historic race cars from 1988-2000 are pretty much awesome. I know one of you trollers will post a picture of a dumb race car and I will laugh. I am still in my lobby right now.

Yup. I really want to do a second class in my Endurance series. What if we did the crazy thing; current ITCC cars, and DLC TCs? And maybe even an LMP class, just to cause some mayhem?

I'm not really serious about the LMP class, but, if we ran with the DLC TCs (GT-R R35 TCs and such,) we could call the Endurance series the VLN series. 💡

I wouldn't mind a 16 person one class endurance series... We have Rolex... And continental, we could make that Endurace...
