Yup. I really want to do a second class in my Endurance series. What if we did the crazy thing; current ITCC cars, and DLC TCs? And maybe even an LMP class, just to cause some mayhem?

I'm not really serious about the LMP class, but, if we ran with the DLC TCs (GT-R R35 TCs and such,) we could call the Endurance series the VLN series. 💡

In my 2.4 hour daytona rc race, I have a class that might work. It uses tc cars plus a few others. Like the nsx-rm, tuscan rm, ford falcon xr8, and the n24 shulze. The tcs are challenger, rx-7, and the r33. That would be a fun challenge.

Yeah, but the VLN runs multi-class. :S Well, I guess we could find some other name. I think it's really confusing people, though. Like, the idea's there, and the specs are conveniently already finished, but running the sprint series (this is the sprint series thread) and the Endurance thread (link in my signature) is just confusing.

People don't understand why I combined the schedules in the powerpoint google document. Therefore, it seems that we could, if nothing else, use a new name.

"The most intense Endurance series ever..." or something. Hahahaha

Anyways, let's move this discussion to that thread. I'm afraid people from this series might already have been brutally confused.

If we keep it at one ITCC class... It would be one of the more intense endurance series!

The most average intense endurance series ever

Yes, but, I want to change the name.

P.S. wrong threads, genii!

Okay but dry races require 2 compounds to be used, no questions asked?

Always. :) We won't have any wet races after this weekend anyway. Nope, I'll save that possibility for season 2, and just give some little hints about it this weekend.

I read about the qualifying format, and race start procedure. Did I miss something else? I'll double check the op just in case. I wont be available to race this series until Round 1. I have my daughter this weekend'

I reckon the first race could provide some surprise results ... good thing no one is running AWD yet ... :sly:

So Saturday is Monza with full weather ??
Nice.

I tested the Toyo 86 GT at Indy Road (due to my other series which takes place there) and with 1200kg and 266bhp I made 240kph on the main straight and a 1:39.8xx.
Quite good maybe a bit can be found.

FWD´s and AWD´s have a decent stability advantage in the Rain, but if you can control RWD´s very good there is no real advantage but still tricky.

hope it is and its wet cos i was quite fast in testing

It is a Suzuka and at Race 1 should be wet. Race 2 will start drying up ...
Whats your times been Diddy?

cant remember times, but we where doing some fun races with others yesterday and while a few where struggling Diddy seamed to excel

Well ... Good Luck this weekend guys ...

I ran a 2.12.934 last night in a dry test. 2.36.00 is the target time for 100% weather.

Anyone up for some testing in a bit? Gets a bit boring on your own

So no intermediate tires? Or are those part of wet tires.

For full wet races, intermediates will not have enough grip. Full wet races are like 100% moisture on track.

Sorry, I'm still confused by this. A wet race must be run on full wet tires. But you didn't say we couldn't use intermediates in the drying track race Mel, it sounds more like you're just advising against them. Are they in play or no in the second race?

I don't mind testing after work. That will be in another 6 hours though

It's simple.

There are two types of wet races.

Full wet races: Run full wets (track is between 70% and 100% wet)

Partial wet races: free choice (track is less that 70% wet.)

not sure if the team things are being done still but here's ours:

I know this is a little late, but here are some images from Tsukuba. Enjoy

2nd Hairpin. Congested traffic. Includes Damu in his rx-7, both Performance Honda cars, cnd01 in his Focus ST, Storm in his Integra, johnny in his Mini, and Jamie in his 86GT.

This is an image from GVE. This has FreshSeth83 in the Bimmer, cnd01 in the Focus ST, and Both Performance Honda Civics driven by polarbear345 and MrMelancholy 15. Four wide heading into turn 1. No one crashed.

More to come after Suzuka :)

Looks like close racing!

Oh yea. Clean for the most part also.

On another note: Could race 1 and 2 be twelve laps. Race 3 would be 4 laps. I cannot get the tire wear necessary even driving conservatively to last more than 12. Is anyone else having this problem, or am I just setting my car up wrong?

GT86 in my specs was 260hp 1120kg. Now people are using different specs? Which is it? Lower weight/power fits better with the other cars, just lacks top end. So I think a compromise is good. The FF's are 1100kg and less, but 276hp. IMO- we should try the GT86 @265hp, 1130kg.

I am calling BS on part of this. My Focus is 276/1186.

I like your GT86 spec idea though. Everyone should run the same specs for the same car.
