i prefere coffee, of the iced variety..... hmmm perhaps im going to have to invest in some seeing as the race is going to be approximately 3am here lmao

True that ... first thing I need in the morning is a cup of my wife's coffee and a smoke ...
Once I've had that I'm ready for anything the day has planned for me ...

MrM, nizodr3 has made me aware that i need to post my times on tracks to be decided if i go into division 1 or 2, here they are,

Madrid Reverse, 1.29.233,
Cape Ring Inside, 53.592,
Tsukuba W/C, 1.00.498,
G/Valley East/R,1.07.390,
Rome, 1.15.425,

im not to sure how reasonable they are as i found out when i went to do some adjusting for Madrid i found that i was only running 269hp and all tracks were done with the madrid setup so theyre a little slower then i would like but i couldnt be bothered adjusting the car for them,

also the times were done with tire wear and fuel depletion and grip reduction on real, it made the tsukuba chicane very slippery lol

JORMO-SUBARU TEAM REPORT

As published earlier in the week, Jormo-Subaru has found a second driver to start alongside Nizmo at this seasons opening round in Madrid.
Dave has been tasked with filling the second driver seat.

Dave has declined an interview with us stating that there is a lot of testing to be done at the moment and there is no time to waste on interviews.

He has provided us with his numerous credentials of past motorsport activity. He has proven very fast in testing on the previous circuits that the ITCC circus has been to.

Mr Hasegawe was quoted in saying - "Dave is proving to be a valuable asset to the team. He is running consistently fast lap times." Mr Hasegawa was overheard saying that if Dave has to keep up this momentum he could be given the Number 1 seat. Sounds like Nizmo has some motivation to improve his pace.

Jormo-Subaru has been keeping very hush about lap times, but seem to have solved the tyre wear issues the AWD cars tend to have.
"The car feels very, very stable. I'm getting the tyres to last about 10 laps or so while maintaining race pace." Nizmo said, "I'm really motivated with a team mate like Dave. He's proving very fast and is bring some valuable setup procedures with him."

Asked whether he thinks the ToS members are going to have a tough time at Madrid tight, twisty track, he replied "Apart from certain instances at Suzuka, everyone ran a pretty close, tight, incident-free race. As long as everyone keeps their noses clean this race will be a hotly contested one for that ever important first win."

Jormo-Subaru has a lot to prove come this weekends opening race. Divisions and points are at stake for those who prove themselves.

East Coast Motorsports makes ITCC driver announcement

East Coast Motorsports has announced that they will be fielding a second car for Canadian Johnnypenso for the upcoming ITCC season. He will drive a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VIII RS in the series. Team owner LancerEvo7 is currently unsure of whether he will stick with his older model due to lack of power down straights and excessive tire wear.

The team has released the following Madrid lap times set in testing.

LancerEvo7 - 1:29.5
Johnnypenso - 1:28.2

I don't see why not, the points paying rounds haven't started yet. Plus it's still the same car, just a different model of it.

*sigh* going to have to get a move on for any good times =/

Will twin Ring be used in the series?

Why is there 4wd cars running 276hp 1100kg? That's not right. If I would have known that I'd take an EVO myself and destroy every car. Now we got guys running 1:28.2's which is a second faster than any other car? Mel, you need to put the rules in check.

The 4wd def has the advantage at those specs.

The Scoobs are running 276/1156 ... best time I can manage is 1:31:056 ...

I was running 276/1100 last night and we were running almost exact times. It's not the car, it's the driver.

My 22b sube is rated at 266hp @ 1115kg, and this seems fair so far. I not the lightest but not the heaviest, plus I got robbed of 10 hp, which I'll will feel down even short straights. I will gladly take 10hp plus 1100kg, that would put me in 1st place contention even when I screw up!

4wds don't need the highest HP AND the lowest weight. I think with 260-266hp and 1100kg it would slow them down enough to be on level with the other cars. I'm getting online here in a minute to test, everyone is welcome to join.

The point is that you have power and weight over us, and can change power distribution according to the track. The Toyota GT86 is at 260/1120, less power & more weight. I'm at 256/1150, less power & more weight still.

It works on the FF's as they have understeer to deal with. But 4WD can change to steer as well as or better RWD cars. Thing is that until this weekend, no one used 4WD cars.

The FFs have the biggest disadvantage. They get crappy tire wear compared to the RWD and 4WD. The FFs need to be faster and lighter to make up that difference.

Not to come into anyones defense or anything ... but in the car list of the OP, the Evo family is rated 276/1100 and the Scoobies at 266/1100. I ran in my 276/1152 guise at Suzuka and I never killed anybody ...

Damu, my AWD ran last weekend already ... and so did Lancer7 in the Evo if I'm not mistaken ...

I would have to say that I agree with freshseth with these 4WD's.

Mr.M, thank you for the info on the wing. I will take the little stubby thing off my 86GT. :) It was nice running it though.

He was also apparently like 30 kgs or something if I remember right overweight and he still won a race.

Ye I think he dropped 200kg or something for the last race ...

I was 66 kg over, I dropped 140kg between race 2 and 3, and I was still outpowered massively down the straights.
