Hey guys I will accept the success ballast system for this week. I take back everything I said yesterday. I need to give something a try before I shoot it down. As long as it is not cumulative, I think I will be ok.

I think this is how it works. I scored 105 points at Madrid. This week I will carry an additional 53 kg. If I were to score 98 points this week at Deep Forest then I would have 49 kg of ballast next week at Clubman Route 5. The 53 kg would disappear and I would only have 49. That is correct right?

If it´s JP and not the Car why penalise him ??
Succes-ballast was a maybe pre-season
=> add it for season 2 (??)

He would be fast in every car => accept it 👍 (although at Suzuka he wasn´t that faar ahead :D well done poker pro 👍:))

Someone mentioned before about Communism/Socialism. If you're going to hand out penalties and they're just going to be erased later, why bother handing out the penalties at all? What about the people who are negatively affected by the actions of the person penalized? Are you going to give them back the places they lost when they got taken into the guardrail from behind?
It's basically a green light to drive like a 🤬 every couple of races with no lasting consequence. That does not make for good racing.

I understand completely. I didn't make up the return points with "good behaviour" rule. However, I asked someone on ToS and they said it was there. Then I find out that there's also no success ballast for Seth. Hence, with good behaviour, the disadvantage is removed and Seth gains an advantage by not having success ballast this week.

If Seth doesn't have a success ballast but permanently keeps the points penalty, fine. If there's a "good behaviour" possibility and Seth has a success ballast, begrudgingly fine. However, to my understanding there's a "good behaviour" possibility AND Seth doesn't have a success ballast.

Also, hurry up with the success ballast decision. I initially practised at stock weight. Then < 24hr I got told about a success ballast. Now people want it gone. :grumpy:

Looks like we need some clarity on this "good behaviour" issue.

Johnny will you make it today?

Not looking good at this point but won't know until the last minute.

Man I hope to see you there. I enjoy our intense racing battles.

I will not be racing today.

Mr.M and my team mate
I will be out for todays race and next Saturdays race. I have 2 unavoidible family functions to be at. I hope my team mate can hold up and kick some rear. 👍 I believe he can. :)
I apologise for the late notice.

I won't give Seth more than 10 points back.

I want to entice him to race clean without being uncompetitive.

So how many of us are actually racing tonight?

1 hour until Div. 2 races.

Also, cnd, your friends list is full.

We should have a safety car, someone who doesnt race in the series, to lead the field round on the rolling up lap, this will stop people driving away on the rolling up lap. This seemed to be a problem on we had a Madrid. If the safety car/pace car was to lead the group round, then pull into the pit entry before the race start, everyone will keep bunched together and the racing shall be better and there shouldnt be any false starts.

I know someone who would do this, and then leave the track once they pull into the pits then watch the race to pick up on any incidents by watching the racing.

We could try this for the 1 lap race that we have at the start of every meeting, this would see how effective it is on the racing and if it works very well, continue this through for the 3 main races! :)

Who's in D2 tonight?

The same drivers from last week, and anyone who felt too slow last week.

Also, for Div. 2, I'll do that.

Mind if I sit in this week?

Lol ... that's what I meant

It's why we're meant to bunch together a a point shortly before the pit straight. After the turn coming out of the final tunnel this week lads.

I have cleared my friends list. I have room now. I hope that we have enough participants. One division might be all we have.

You all act like I was sending people off the road. No one else got a penalty but me when there were plenty of others diving in turns. I don't care either way, but this crap talk about me is annoying. I'll keep the points deduction, and after this round I'll take the ballast.

We might have 4 or 5 in Div 2 this weekend. I think there isn't room in D1. So, it's just the overflow.

I might make Div.2 the "Go or go home" group, where podiums are rewarded with presence in D1.

In my opinion, you deserved a penalty for the attitude towards Lancer alone. I know I had the incident in race 3 with Jamie, which I yielded for.

The point was that, as far as I knew, that there may have been a possibility of giving you back enough points to be ahead of us after Madrid, without success ballast this weekend. Now that MrM's clarified that you would be out of the top 5, regardless of any penalty deductions, after this weekend, I feel like you aren't at risk of gaining an advantage from the penalty. Though begrudgingly, as I would've based the ballast on the points before any penalties imposed.

MrM I would like to suggest that if one of the 5 who need the success ballast doesn't turn up this week, they carry the ballast over to the next weekend. Also, base the ballast on the top 5 performers each weekend (not championship leaders). Otherwise, if GUY #1 doesn't turn up one weekend, he would benefit from needing to get into top 5 again, then having a catch up race to make up points.

Looks ok for me to make it this afternoon at this point...hopefully it's not a mararthon again...:ouch::scared:

However, I'll be the only East Coast Motorsports driver at Deep Forest today..

Connection is giving me problems ... I'll have to pull out of the series until I can get it sorted ...

Sorry to pull out after the season started but I've had enough. It's just too disorganized, too lacking direction and firm leadership. The whining and crying from some drivers during a race session doesn't help either. I like the concept, I've enjoyed racing with some of you guys, especially Cnd, and if you get the bugs sorted out and run a second season I'll give it a look, but I just don't enjoy racing under these conditions.

Whether I'm winning or battling for 10th is not important to me. I enjoy well organized race events with cars I really enjoy driving and/or tuning. Talking about ballast the whole week, tuning for it, running the first race with it, then a rule change to drop it heading into the second race was the last straw for me but it's certainly just one straw of many.

Good luck to everyone else in the series. Anyone I've given any tuning help to is more than welcome to my continued assistance, time permitting.

Parents cut power to the whole house. 🤬 idiots.
