Cool, Thanks for taking charge. Now it needs to be made official so that new people can easily see how it works.
 
Me. I've been one of the most active people on this besides you guys. I've also set up other events online with other games, so I know how to work with people online.
 
I have yet to create a public room but I will be willing to host events as well. I am not always online but when I am I will post it on the events thread. Using Artic's rules to keep the consistency within the group.

I have to agree with this. Hopefully Torque's new slim comes in soon so we can start building structure to this.
 
We don't use public lobbies. To many losers that way. Instead we befriend each other and join the hosts lounge.
 
Oh, The other day me and rpr101 went into a GTP Wangan server that was in the public servers. That is why I thought you guys wanted it that way. I do prefer the private server set up though so it works out good.
 
i think my Odyssey ends up at the 400hp class if there's ever one :p

300hp class, if i'm allowed my stage 3 lightening, i got a 280Z for it, in a dark blue :p

i'll have to keep an eye out for another 300hp class car it seems.

I do actively post? I spend more time in this topic than any other topics :yuck: 👎

Being from England means I can usually host at different times to other people, meaning I can encompass more people who are interested. It also means that I sometimes miss what is going on with you guys though, because I'm in bed sleeping :dopey:

This, I just do not have my new slim yet, So until then i am not setting any rules, But your more then welcome to go with my "optional" horse power class, I did not create this club for people to feel they need to take charge(This is a who ever steps up to the plate thing, who knows what there doing) or feel they are being pushed around, I created this club because i love the wangan, and Alot of other people share that same love, and i just want every one to have a good time,It's not about who has the best rules,Right now, it's about people taking charge to make sure this club does not sink, And i am more then ok with that.
 
Also guys, I have a forum where I can make a section dedicated to the Wangan. Its a pixel car forum, and can be found in my signature.

Its got hosting paid for already for the next two years - so that isn't a problem. I'm just throwing the offer out there. I could even host a whole new forum on a subdomain like wangan.pixelcarworld.com if that would be preferred.

Back on the topic of time - I am available from around 19:00 to 22:00 GMT on most days. And pretty much all day on most weekends (unless plans come up obviously).
I attend University, so I pretty much spend 9-5 there. I have Wednesdays off, so I could run a server then. Or I could run a server in the evenings on weekdays.

Format:

Shall be setup using a random generator to decide who runs who to start. Two at a time. Racers will start at tunnel entrance and the race ends when you exit the tunnel. There will be a winner and loser bracket to determine ranks. Once you enter the competition, your car cannot be altered.

Competition will be comprised of a dig bracket, and a roll bracket. This is the ultimate test of who can tune their car the best, period. Roll speeds will be determined by class and participants. Expect higher roll speeds with faster cars.

Sorry about the text talk and my improper posts, I truely am. Not to excuse it, but I am on my iphone. But back on topic those rules are great artic. However if its AWD vs. RWD will there be a head start or something for the RWD.

Seeing as how all wangan races in real life start from a Roll, This sort of thing should not matter.

But generally the RWD have a higher top end, so it makes up for it.

No head starts. AWD usually has more weight to push up top, so they generally fall on there face towards top. AWD usually loses from a roll. Who's the master at tuning a car to do both?

Instead of wangan, this really more of street racing.
 
No Digs. Period.(aka stop and then go)

There are no digs in real life on the wangan, so there won't be any on this club, I said to Keep it plainly realistic, The wangan is not about stop and going, Infact alot of these ideas are not even realistic. The wangan is mainly about 1 on 1 battles, but i let multiple car's racing at one time slide, But i will not Let Digs slide. This isn't red light street racing, It's an out run battle that always starts from a roll. either from 60 mph, or 80, Doing it at digs, Kills the entire point of the wangan.

Infact, the wangan isnt even about horse power classes, It's about running what you bring, In a PA in yokohama/kanagawa at night you would find anything from civics to skylines, So whats with this "Bracket" style sectioned race events? This isent a sectioned track day" It's suposed to be realistic wangan experience.

I would have suggested setting every one out on a track at different points, then going from there. Just like in TXR, 16 car scattered around the track, and every one does there own thing, Pretty much initiating a race when ever the see fit, that way other player cars could as well be the traffic, But i can't incorporate ideas like this just yet, I have to wait.

But this whole street class, track ready class, It's not realistic, You would not find this sort of thing on the real wangan, And i know this by experince because i have been on and driven on the real wangan and know what im talking about.

It's all about "Not knowing the outcome" of whats going to happen, you might not beat some one, Or you might, That is the point of the wangan, seeing what your car can do.

But until i have a slim, Please do go on about this the way you are, unrealistic or not the way it is right now is very fun for you guys.

I just can't wait to show you what i have in store.

I'll show you what the real wangan is.

Wow this group is really big almost 150 members :D

I'm going over all the rules and all that jazz, hopefully see you guys on the track soon.
