I do all arcade when I fly. Realistic is just too hard for me to spot people.

I'm more of a ground attack player, but I have the first two US B17's unlocked, the first P51 unlocked so I'm pretty much in the middle. I'd like to get the B29 and just not care after that... so ya.

I have the I-16 (I think?), BB-1, and A5M4. They're all fun so far. Doing rear-gunner stuff is beyond me though.

RB only gives one plane I think... so I'm quite sure now it's just AB unless i get bored.

No RB will give you as many planes as your pilot can see. It is just the planes are more spread out due to the nature of it.
The distance you can see is determined by your pilot skills.

I meant as in spawn opportunities as that one. I remember playing SB once with my joystick... but that didn't go to well.

I havent flown on War Thunder for a while to be honest, maybe around 9pm est I'll try again.

I would be down for 9pm, but I can never connect to chat in War Thunder, which means I won't be able to join a squad. MagzTV has covered the issue in one of his videos recently. The problem has been ongoing for months.

The only way I can get chat to work is if I hit the chat button while in a match and hope it connects. I'll just have to make sure I play a game before anyone attempts to invite me. Seems to stay connected once I connect though.

Nope, it's on both PC and PS4. Not sure what causes it but it seems to be random because not everyone is affected by it.

I know I'm not as I receive them a lot and the always work. The trouble is accepting it as soon as I see it in game, and going back to the hangar it disappears.
 
Had no problems staying connected to chat after I connected.

I did however, have a problem with the FW 190 with manual engine controls. I made it about 100ft into the air on takeoff and the engine died from overrevving. :banghead:
 
wow... so I just had 400k silver lions. I then just unlocked the Ostwind, so I purchased that. Now down to 110k+ lions.
Then I finished upgrading the filters for the Jagdtiger, and clicked okay. I saw it was 110k lions for it, and I didn't hit purchase so I thought I was good....

Nope, it still bought it. There's no way to not purchase an upgrade... what BS... now I'm gonna run out of lions again like I did a month ago...
 
Turn Autopurchase Upgrades off. Also uncheck auto repair.. it's the checkbox to the left of the wrench icon on the bottom left of the hangar screen above the vehicles. You'll do better on keeping currency stored up.

yeah... but I still need those repaired because 4/5 times I'll die with all my tanks in every round I'll play.. so it's just a hassel to do something that I already know can be done in less time that I can possibly do..

you can repair them on your own if needed.
 
Yes, major updates hit the PS4 at the same time that PC gets them. Only thing PS4 is delayed on is the smaller updates in-between. PS4 is getting the updated Dagor engine as well, with all the visuals.

Also, I just learned the most effective way to deal with T-34s. Put a shot through the machine gun on the right front and it's an one-shot kill every time. I think Phly mentioned it in a recent video. Before that, I kept trying to hit them everywhere but that MG port and having bad luck with engagements.
 
Depending on which T-34 and what tier, you could out flank them and get them in the turret or in the sides where the fuel tanks are. I've been playing with the Germany tanks and thought they were tough to kill but I've managed to kill them with Pz. III J1 from doing that. I'm just wondering if Gaijin nerfed their armor in one of the previous patches or it's the same but it feel easier to kill them now than before.
 
If I can remember to do so, I'll get a video uploaded to my youtube channel. Just went 11-1 with an M4A2 (76) W against Germans and Russians, but never encountered a German tank. All 11 kills were Russians.

Edit: This was in realistic tank battles.
 
I just finished research on the M36 with that match and switch back to Germany. Not that it matters since it typically puts two nations against one. <20000RP for whichever Panther I'm currently researching.
