And that's exactly why some people care.

The only trouble is that people aren't exactly divided on the issue (I'd like to believe that 100.1% of this country agrees that child molestation is wrong), so it won't be all that juicy a court case.

Of course, the news reports of MJ in court is just going to overshadow all the really important news that happens...

That's exactly why people care. He's loaded, and he's already paid one person off. People simply think "I can let my kid stay overnight there, and then claim molestation, and he'll pay me $300,000 to shut up and go away."

It's the fact that everybody instantly thinks "If the kid claims it, it's true". Yes, it is a hideous crime, and I too would like to believe that 100.1% of the country believe it's wrong.

I do think that everyone is innocent until proven guilty. Sucks that people will take advantage of someone like this.

Good point Der Alta, I guess I'm a little naive or ignorant to see that kind of deception. Use your kid to get money? Let's just throw "kids safety" out the window. I guess that shows greed still top of the list? Either way Micheal Jackson creeps me out even more now. Still like Bille Jean though.

Not that I'm defending him, because personally I think he's retarded, but why does everyone assume he's guilty automatically? Is there any actual evidence against him, in any case? I've never heard of any, at all, ever.
